The effect of polarity on implosion of wire liners on the Angara-5-1 facility has been investigated. The electrode configuration provided creation of a radial electric field of up to 5000 kV/cm and of different direction on various sections of initial wires. The plasma production process was found to proceed in a distinctive manner in the wire sections where the radial electric field has different direction. The polarity effect at implosion of the wire liners on the Angara-5-1 facility becomes notable at increasing the rate of rising the electric field strength.

A multichannel measuring complex based on vacuum X-ray diodes with various filters and a signal processing technique enabling to obtain a radiation power with a nanosecond time resolution in several spectral ranges from 0.1 to 4 keV, power in the full spectral range, and average quantum energy are described. This technique was applied on the Ahгapa-5-1 setup in experiments on implosion of cascade liners and with az-pinch.

Conclusions The neutron diagnostics complex, developed on the Angara-5 assembly, enables determining the total yield, the spectrum, and the time dependence of the neutron yield of the source. In experiments with superfast deuterium Z pinch a neutron yield of 1012 and spatial anisotropy of the neutron spectrum were recorded with the help of the described diagnostics system. The anisotropy of the neutron spectrum indicates that at least some of the neutrons were produced by an acceleration mechanism.

A small-sized inductive nanosecond pulse-voltage divider of simple design is described. The divider is used for measuring the voltage at the output unit of the Angara-5-1 facility.
