AbstractNew transition metal complexes of benzoyldithiocarbazate (H2BDT) were synthesized. The structures of the complexes are proposed on the basis of elemental analyses, infrared spectra, electronic spectra, magnetic moments and TGA. Electronic and infrared spectral features of the complexes, on comparison with those of the uncoordinated benzoyldithiocarbazate, indicated that benzoyldithiocarbazate behaves as a dibasic, tetradentate ligand in the enol form. The ligand coordinates to the metal ions Cu(II), Pb (II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) via the enolic oxygen, the nitrogens of hydrazide and the sulphur of thiolate and as a monobasic, tridentate ligand in the keto form to Cr(II).Referee I: D. The reaction of 1-(benzotriazole-1-carbonylmethyl)-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarba-zide (BPTS) with metal chlorides give three types of complexes having the compositions (1) [MLH2]Cl2, (2) [ML]H2O, (3) M(LH)2 [LH2 = BPTS, M = Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II)]. Elemental analyses, IR spectral and TGA studies have been used to elucidate their stucture. The IR spectral data show that the heterocyclic thiosemicarbazide behaves as neutral, mononegative or binegative ligand and coordinates in a bidentate, tridentate or bridging tetradentate manner.

Complexes of the type (ML · X H2O)n where M = Mn(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), L = (1-carbonylmethyl-1H-benzotriazole)-1-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (BPTSH2), X = 0, 1, 2 and n = degree of polymerization have been synthesized and characterized by elemental and thermal analyses along with IR and 1H NMR spectra.Infrared spectra are consistent with tetradentate coordination involving the carbonyl and thiocarbonyl groups in conjunction with the adjacent nitrogen atoms (C = N groups) with each ligand binding to two metal centers. The result is proposed to be polymers that grow through consecutive ligand-metal linkages.

The synthesis and characterization of Mn(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and UO2 (VI) complexes of the new ligand 1-N-(6-nitrobenzimidazole-1-carbonylmethyl)-4-(α-naphthyl)-3-thiosemicarbazide (NBNMS) is reported. Infrared spectral data show that NBNMS behaves as a tetradentate ligand involving the carbonyl and thiocarbonyl groups in conjunction with the adjacent nitrogen atoms (C = N groups). Each ligand bridges to two metal centers. This result in polymers that grow through consecutive ligand-metal linkages for all but UO2 (VI). In contrast, NBNMS acts as a monobasic tridentate ligand with UO2(VI).

For the speed and position control of permanent magnet synchronous motor, an improved exponential reaching law is proposed. Firstly, the mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor in rotating coordinate system is established, and the speed loop sliding mode controller and position loop sliding mode controller are designed. Lyapunov function is established to determine the stability of the designed controller. The control model of position loop, speed loop and current loop is used to simulate the permanent magnet synchronous motor. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by comparing with the traditional sliding mode controller.
