In this communication, a graphene–silicon ceramic-based dual port antenna in the THz frequency regime is designed and analysed. Ring-shaped ceramic improves the impedance bandwidth of the designed antenna. Stair-shaped aperture stimulates the circular polarized wave in between 4.8 and 5.55 THz. 3-dB power divider based microstrip line is used to create array shaped structure, which in turn provides high gain (more than 9.5 dBi). Placing of the partial reflecting surface over the antenna tilts the beam by ± 30°. The mirror orientation of the slot between the aperture improves the isolation by 25 dB. Variation in chemical potential of graphene coating provides the frequency agile features in the proposed design. With the stimulation of dual orthogonal fundamental hybrid mode, the designed antenna supports a frequency range from 4.55 to 5.85 THz. Broadsided directional far-field features and good diversity parameters confirm its applicability in indoor THz based wireless LAN applications.
