En personas mayores la prescripción de medicamentos potencialmente inapropiados (PIM) es muy elevada y se asocia con mayor riesgo de eventos adversos, morbilidad y utilización de recursos sanitarios. El objetivo del presente estudio es conocer la prevalencia y tipo de PIM en pacientes ancianos polimedicados al ingreso y alta hospitalaria, los factores asociados a su prescripción y la aplicabilidad de distintos criterios explícitos seleccionados de la bibliografía y adaptados a nuestro ámbito.

To implement a coordinated strategy for the family care unit and the pharmacy division in order to enable revising treatment in polymedicated patients. To this end, we have developed a software tool permitting the patient's primary doctor to have a quick, summarised description of the patient's updated pharmacological treatments, and detect iatrogenic risks and/or dosage adjustments and pharmacotherapy advice.

Styrene-methyl methacrylate colloids were obtained by codeposition at-196°C of the monomer with metals, such as: Au, Pd, Cu, Ga, In, Sn and Bi. The colloids were polymerized with various amounts of initiator (AIBN) at 60°C and a wide range of viscosity average molecular weights (Mv; 2.0x104-1.9x105) were obtained depending upon the metal used. The metal colloid concentrations are reported. The thermal stability and metal composition are also described. The copolymers of Au, Ge, Pd and Sn are stable even at 300°C. The metal content is 0.9 to 11% with an exception of 22% for Au.

Polyacrylonitrile colloids were obtained by codeposition at 77 K of the monomer with several metals such as: Au, Pd, Ge, Ga, In, Sn, Sb and Bi. The colloids after warm up were polymerized with different amounts of initiators (AIBN) at 283 K and a wide range of viscosimetric molecular weights (M?105) were obtained depending upon the metal involved. The colloid metal dispersions concentrations are reported. The metal composition is ranging between 0.4–7.0 %. The thermal stability and metal microanalysis is also described. The polymers are stable up to 573 K.

The metal colloid concentrations are reported. The thermal stability and metal composition are also described. The polymers are stable even at 350°C and the metal content is 0.7 to 3.1%.
