Anecdotal evidence and research studies indicate that rapid new product development can help firms compete more effectively. A study investigated the role of organizational learning in minimizing development cycle times for successful new products. Results of the analysis indicate that specific sets of practices and processes that new product development teams can apply to facilitate learning, speed to market and product success are of critical importance.
