Objective: This study aimed to investigate the correlation between the surface area ratio of medial tibial plateau (MTP) to lateral tibial plateau (LTP) and the mechanical tibiofemoral angle (mTFA). Methods: Lower limb computed tomography (CT) images were collected at our hospital. Then, the original CT data were analyzed and reconstructed using medical image processing software. The proximal and distal centres of the femur and tibia were marked. The surface areas of MTP and LTP were identified using image processing software. GraphPad Prism 8.0.2 was used to perform the statistical analysis. Results: The surface area ratio of MTP to LTP was significantly correlated with the mTFA in all patients (P<0.0001), male group (P<0.0001), female group (P<0.0001), varus group (P<0.0001), and valgus group (P=0.002). Furthermore, the surface area of MTP and LTP was significantly greater in the male group than in the female group (P<0.0001). There was significant difference in the surface area of the MTP between the varus and valgus groups (P<0.0001). Significant difference was also observed in the surface area ratio of MTP to LTP between the varus and valgus groups (P<0.0001). Conclusion: The surface area ratio of MTP to LTP was correlated with the mTFA. Within a certain range, the smaller the mTFA, the greater the surface area ratio of MTP to LTP. For patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty, of whom the surface area of the MTP was basically equal to that of the LTP, it is recommended that the osteotomy should be performed in accordance with mechanical alignment standards, and that a symmetrical tibial plateau prosthesis should be used. For patients whose surface area of MTP is significantly greater than that of the LTP, it is recommended that the osteotomy should be performed in accordance with kinematic alignment standards, and that an anatomical tibial plateau prosthesis should be used.

Network traffic classification aims at identifying the application types of network packets. It is important for Internet service providers (ISPs) to manage bandwidth resources and ensure the quality of service for different network applications. However, most classification techniques using machine learning only focus on high flow accuracy and ignore byte accuracy. The classifier would obtain low classification performance for elephant flows as the imbalance between elephant flows and mice flows on Internet. The elephant flows, however, consume much more bandwidth than mice flows. When the classifier is deployed for traffic policing, the network management system cannot penalize elephant flows and avoid network congestion effectively. This article explores the factors related to low byte accuracy, and secondly, it presents a new traffic classification method to improve byte accuracy at the aid of data cleaning. Experiments are carried out on three groups of real-world traffic datasets, and the method is compared with existing work on the performance of improving byte accuracy. Experiment shows that byte accuracy increased by about 22.31% on average. The method outperforms the existing one in most cases.

A FeAl/WC nanocomposite coating was produced by cold spraying of mechanically alloyed Fe/Al/WC composite powder assisted with annealing treatment. The microstructure and grain size of FeAl/WC nanocomposite coating before and after annealing treatment were characterized. The results indicated that as-sprayed Fe (Al)/WC nanocomposite coating presented a dense microstructure with lamellar structure. The phase transformation from Fe (Al) solid solution to FeAl intermetallics within as-sprayed nanocomposite coating occurred when annealed at 550oC for 25 h. The annealed nanocomposite coating was composed of nanograins of size ranging from 50-100 nm and the grain size of FeAl increased with increasing the annealing time. Moreover, the effect of annealing temperature on the microstructure of the FeAl/WC nanocomposite coating was investigated.

The CuO/CeO2 and CuO/PrO2-CeO2 catalysts were prepared by the hydrothermal method, and characterized via XRD, SEM and N2 adsorption-desorption techniques. The study shows that the BET surface area and pore volume of the CuO/PrO2-CeO2 catalysts increase with the increase of praseodymium content. The CuO/CeO2 catalyst presents higher catalytic activity in compare with the CuO/PrO2-CeO2 catalysts although the addition of praseodymium promotes textural properties of the CuO/CeO2 catalysts, and it proves that the interaction of CuO and CeO2 has a crucial role in CO-PROX.

In this paper, highly selective core–shell molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) of tadalafil on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were prepared. Three widely used functional monomers 2-(trifluoromethyl) acrylic acid (TFMAA), acrylic acid (AA), and methacrylic acid (MAA) were compared theoretically as the candidates for MIP preparation. MIP-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MIP-coated MNPs) showed large adsorption capacity, high recognition ability, and fast binding kinetics for tadalafil. Furthermore, because of the good magnetic properties, MIP-coated MNPs can achieve rapid and efficient separation with an external magnetic field simply. The resulting MIP-coated MNPs were used as dispersive solid-phase extraction (DSPE) materials coupled with HPLC-UV for the selective extraction and detection of tadalafil from medicines (herbal sexual health products). Encouraging results were obtained. The amounts of tadalafil that were detected from the herbal sexual health product was 43.46 nmol g–1, and the recoveries were in the range of 87.36–90.93% with the RSD < 6.55%.

This paper has studied the reinforced concrete eccentrically compressed members through the laboratory accelerated corrosion method, which has been also combined with the continuous damage theory to give a preliminary definition of the damage degree of concrete uniform corrosion. The study has shown that with the increase of concrete corrosion layers, the bonding properties of steel and concrete keeps falling. With the increase of damage degree, the concrete will be advanced into the compression and the steel can’t fully exert its tensile properties. The bearing capacity of large and small eccentric hydraulic components will be decreased with the increase of damage degree. With the increase of damage degree, the neutral axis of concrete compressed column will shift to the eccentric point, which can make the eccentricity become small. No matter the unilateral corrosion or the peripheral corrosion, the column deflection is proportional to the damage degree and the column stiffness will be decreased with the increase of corrosion layers.

The important factors of poor survival of gastric cancer (GC) are relapse and metastasis. For further elucidation of the mechanism, a culture system mimicking the microenvironment of the tumor in humans was needed. We established a model of microencapsulated SGC7901 human GC cells and evaluated the effects of coculturing spheres with tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). SGC7901 cells were encapsulated in alginate-polylysine-sodium alginate (APA) microcapsules using an electrostatic droplet generator. MTT assays showed that the numbers of microencapsulated cells were the highest after culturing for 14 days. Metabolic curves showed consumption of glucose and production of lactic acid by day 20. Immunocytochemistry confirmed that Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) were expressed in microencapsulated SGC7901 cells on days 7 and 14. The expression of PCNA was observed outside spheroids; however, VEGF was found in the entire spheroids. PCNA and VEGF were increased after being cocultured with TAMs. Matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) expressions were detected in the supernatant of microencapsulated cells cocultured with TAMs but not in microencapsulated cells. Our study confirms the successful establishment of the microencapsulated GC cells. TAMs can promote PCNA, VEGF, MMP-2, and MMP-9 expressions of the GC cells.
