The statistical properties of relay channel are quite different from the direct transmission channel for including two phases channel of source to relay and relay to destination. In this paper, we study the relay channel from three viewpoints of probability density function (PDF), level crossing rate (LCR) and Doppler spectrum for Rayleigh, Rice and Nakagami fading models. The closed form expressions are deduced, and simulation evaluation is done to verify the results.

In this paper, we study the different channel estimation strategies applied in an AF network, including ordinary channel estimation which estimate the whole source-relay-destination (SRD) channel at the destination, and a new proposed equalized AF (EAF) which make channel estimation separately at relay node and destination node. The EAF carries out the equalization at relay node by the channel estimation, which leads to performance improvement. The analysis of achievable rates is given and the performance benefit of EAF is verified by both numeric and realistic simulation.

We propose a coherent resonant tunneling model in double-barrier nanostructures in which besides an interference effect originated from coherent tunneling of single electron through two barriers, the effects of one-electron charging, discrete energy spectrum and electron interactions between barriers are also important. The interference effect, like that for light in Fabry-Perot cavity, will occur no matter whether a magnetic field exists or not, and is shown to have significant effect on the systems' tunneling current. Our model agrees surprisingly well with all the main experimental features of the phenomenon discovered by Scott Thomas et al.

It is shown that the high frequency extraordinary waves, propagating perpendicular to the dc magnetic field in ferromagnetic systems, are governed by the nonlinear Schrödinger equation and are modulationally unstable and may evolve as solitons.

A series of two-dimensional equations with the two-dimensional Korteweg-de Vries equation being their first one are constructed as Sawada-Kotera did in one-dimensional case. Their soliton chain solutions are obtained and investigated.

Strong nonlinear circularly polarized electromagnetic standing waves modulated in the direction of the dc magnetic field in a ferromagnetic system are investigated. Four distinct classes of standing wave solutions are shown to exist.

In this paper, four-wave mixing in plasmas for the case of a transmission geometry is investigated. The exact solutions of appropriate nonlinear equations for a phase shift between the refractive index grating and interference pattern of the optical beams have been found. The existence of multistability and self-oscillations in the process has been shown. It should be pointed out that our solutions contain both intensities and phases of the beams.
