An editorial is presented which focuses on increasing rate of maternal mortality of Black women in the U.S. and councilmember Charles Allen's efforts for legislation for it for policy recommendations and also presents a data for maternal mortality rate.

Abstract
The article discusses the decline in global Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) funding. Topics discussed include data gathered and analyzed by Kaiser Family Foundation and Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) (UNAIDS) show decline in funding supporting HIV efforts in low- and middle-income countries in 2015, more people in need of life-saving treatment with decline in death rates, and need to increase funding by 2020 to end AIDS.
