The article reports on a class on economic consumption, happiness, and well-being at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. The course explores the relationship between wealth and well-being. Students read the philosophy of authors Aristippus and Aristotle and analyze the gross national happiness index of Bhutan.
