Abstract

Information about several papers discussed at the International Association for Music Library (IAML) conference on various developments in music libraries, held on August 4 to 9, 2002 at the University of California in Berkeley, California is presented. Topics include the challenges faced by library projects and various issues of music librarianship. The conference featured several speakers including Jill Palmer of Alexander Turnbull Library and Roger Flury of the National Library in Wellington.

Abstract

Information about several papers discussed at an international conference sponsored by the Franciscan School of Theology on October 6, 2007 in Berkeley, California is presented. Peter Phan, Georgetown University theologian, discussed the essence of respect for Asian and African churches by Western church. He described the growth of Catholicism in the developing world and the significance of local culture among people embracing the Catholic faith in Africa.
