The article focuses on the Global Harvest Initiative (GHI) which was founded by Archer Daniels Midland Co., John Deere & Co., Dupont/Pioneer, and Monsanto Co. in the U.S. The GHI was established to ensure an adequate food supply. The initiative released policy papers which talked about how increasing food needs can be addressed by various agriculture segments in the country.
