Research paper writing is an essential factor and one of the challenging tasks for students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the MIRS (Motivation, Inspiration, Realization, and Solution) approach students' capability to write the research papers. This study employed the quasi-experimental design, specifically using equivalent time series method. The subjects of the study were the students of the Culinary Arts of Vocational Education. The research subjects were 154 students. The data were collected using authentic assessment with oral examination on pre-proposal, a paper and pencil (PP) test on research methodology, and a performance test on research proposal seminar. Statistical description and independent sample t-test are used to analyze the results. The results show that the number of the students of treatment group who were able to write innovative research papers increased. The control group's average score of the research paper writing is lower than that of the treatment group. Hypothesis shows that there is difference result between PP testing and oral testing. The alpha score obtains 0,003 for PP testing and 0,002 for oral testing. It can be concluded that MIRS approach is effective for improving writing skill capability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Partaking in the editorial process of an academic journal is both a challenging and rewarding experience. It takes a village of dedicated individuals with a vested interest in the dissemination and sharing of high-quality research outputs. As members of the editorial team of an open access data journal, we reflect on the emergence of data-driven open research, a new journal genre (data paper), and a new journal type (data journal) in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS). Access to data—the currency of empirical research—is valuable to the research community, crucial to scientific integrity, and leads to cumulative advancements in knowledge. It therefore requires significant investment and appropriate venues for dissemination. We illustrate the necessity of raising awareness about data-driven open research and best practices in data-driven publishing. We discuss how it involves building a community of authors and readers, establishing a company of editors, reviewers, and support staff, and passing on the practice, which has been challenging the status quo in research and publishing. Potential future directions are considered, including data peer review and reward, recognition, and funding structures for data sharing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article discusses the prints that were made for the secular feast of Twelfth Night as it was celebrated in Holland and Flanders. The Twelfth Night celebration has two aspects: the secular family party and the religious holiday. The Christian holiday of Epiphany is celebrated on January 6 and is part of the liturgical calendar. While in the Western Church, it focuses on the visit of the Three Kings to Christ. In Holland, it is called 'Driekoningenfeest, and it took place on the same day as Epiphany or on the night before, twelve days after Christmas.
