Abstract
Presents literary criticism of the novel "The Remains of the Day" by Kazuo Ishiguro. Particular focus is given to definitions of post-colonial English identity based on country houses and the English countryside. Connections are drawn between the novel and the book "Howard's End," by E. M. Forster. An overview of the characters and of the plot is also offered.
This article explores the dichotomy between the work of Samuel Coleridge as a journalist and as an author of Romantic literature. The author seeks to harmonize the two distinct forms through an understanding of their mutual influence in Coleridge's writings of both genres. A chronology of Coleridge's career in journalism is discussed, wherein the author suggests the attitudes of Coleridge towards the media.

Abstract
The article analyzes the poem "The Deserted Village" by Oliver Goldsmith. It explores the poem's theme, as the author suggests that Goldsmith presents a nostalgic idealization of rural England that is doomed by the destructive aspects of wealth. Particular attention is also given to the structure and antithetical sections, which the author argues creates a diverse poetic form and diction to create stylistic effects.
