10 x 12'' ; paper; Since the seventh century, Japanese farmers in the mountain villages have been creating paper. The materials are the vegetable fibers taken from the bark of bushes, not from any rice. The three different bushes of the mulberry family are mainly used. K.

Ear tree leaf with paint ; banana paper envelope ; 7.5 x 6.5''; A cultural craft, designed by Mena, a famous Costa Rican artist, and handcrafted by underprivileged and disadvantaged women and children. The leaf is from the Uva ''Sea Grape, '' a Caribbean coastal plant; the envelope is banana paper made from salvaged stems from banana clumps.
