Abstract
The article discusses the condition of mental health and mental health services in Great Britain in light of the publication of the green paper entitled "Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision." It discusses the moves undertaken by the British National Health Service (NHS) to provide mental health services to younger people. It cites the research report published by the British Department of Education on way activities are supported by the government.
Reports that to become literate a child first needs to hear words and phrases spoke, then have reason to speak them, before beginning to think about writing them down on paper. Role play as a means for children to learn to speak, read and write; Acknowledgement of the value of young children learning through play; Assessment of the gaps in the children's knowledge of a new scenario.
