Peer-led school improvement, or peer review, is an increasingly explored tool in school leadership. Through its focus on aspects such as self-evaluation and accountability, the peer review approach has the potential to increase collective efficacy and build the social and professional capital of school leaders and teachers. Peer review approaches are currently used in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Bulgaria, and Chile. This paper provides some example as well as discusses the principles and improvement implications of the peer review model when adopted in school settings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
