Climate change adversely affects the environment and human life in many respects. The evidencefor climate change on earth is quite solid and convincing. Observable rises in sea levels,melting of a glacier’s ice, the regression of the glacial areas, critical changes in annual precipitationpatterns, and global warming increases are specific evidence of climate change. Scientificstudies and experimental findings indicate the role of human effects as a primary reasonfor the changes since the middle of the 20th century. The disproportionate use of fossil fuelsresulted in the rapid increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Without a significantdecrease in greenhouse gas levels, predictions demonstrate that the World’s average temperatureincrease may reach 6.4 °C by 2100, and the associated disaster hazards will graduallyincrease. Iran is among the countries that experience significant increases in climate changeeffects on the environment and society. Between 1900-and 1980, the number of reporteddisasters per year was below 100, whereas the annual number of disasters reached 400 between2000 and 2019. Studies show that climate change is the main reason for disasters suchas floods, storms, droughts, land subsidence, and wildfires in Iran. With approximately 687million tons of CO2 production, Iran ranks first country responsible for climate change in theMiddle East and the sixth country in the World. It is noted that without necessary precautions,the increase in climate-related disasters will be much higher in the next ten years., İklim değişikliği, çevreyi ve insan yaşamını pek çok bakımdan olumsuz etkilemektedir. Yerküredeiklim değişikliğinin kanıtları yeterince kuvvetli ve ikna edicidir. Deniz seviyelerinin yükselmesi,buzulların erimesi ve buzul alanlarının gerilemesi, yıllık yağış düzenlerinde ciddi değişimleringörülmesi ve küresel ısınmadaki artışlar belli başlı belirtilerdir. Araştırma bulguları ve tespitler20. yüzyılın ortalarından bu yana değişimlerin temel nedeninin insan etkileri olduğunu ortayakoymaktadır. Fosil yakıtların orantısız kullanımı atmosferdeki sera gazlarının hızlı artışına nedenolmuştur. Sera gazı seviyelerinde düşüş olmaz ise 2100 yılına kadar Dünya’nın ortalama sıcaklıkartışının 6.4 °C’ye ulaşabileceği ve ilişkili afet tehlikelerinin giderek artacağı yönünde sonuçlarbelirtilmektedir. İran, iklim değişikliğinin çevre ve toplum üzerindeki etkilerini ciddi artışlarla yaşayanülkeler arasındadır. 1900-1980 yılları arasında yılda gerçekleşen afet sayısı 100’ün altındarapor edilmişken, 2000-2019 yılları arasında afet olayı sayısı yılda 400’e ulaşmıştır. Araştırmalar,İran’da meydana gelen sel, fırtına, kuraklık, yer çökmesi ve orman yangınları gibi afet olaylarınıntemel nedeninin iklim değişikliği olduğunu göstermektedir. İran, yaklaşık 687 milyon ton CO2üretimi ile Orta Doğu’da iklim değişikliğinden sorumlu birinci, Dünya’da ise altıncı ülke sıralamasındayer almaktadır. Gereken önlemlerin alınmaması durumunda önümüzdeki on yıl içerisindeiklim ile ilişkili afetlerdeki artışın çok daha yüksek olacağına dikkat çekilmektedir.

In this research we aim to investigate the job shop scheduling problem with uncertain processing times. First we study the literature for the best solution approaches for the deterministic job shop problem. Among all developed algorithms in the literature the famous TSAB algorithm by Nowicki and Smutnicki in 1996 has shown well performance regarding the quality of solutions and CPU time. Then we develop and solve a two stage stochastic programming model, using TSAB and Sample Average Approximation technique, assuming the data are uncertain and associated with a well-known distribution. Furthermore, for more complex uncertainties we study robust and distributionally robust optimization techniques.

The 1944 earthquake segment of the North Anatolian Fault Zone contains paleoseismological signatures of major earthquake events. The segment consists of three active main faults and secondary faults showing anastomosing fault pattern. Stratigraphic and structural relationships and radiocarbon ages from trench excavation reveal that the main active fault located at the northernmost part of the region has produced four major earthquakes events up to now. These events, from north to south, correspond to 1944, 1668, 967, and 300 AD earthquakes on the segment. Our findings suggest that earthquake recurrence interval on the segment range from 276 +/- 30 to similar to 700 years. The amount of displacement caused by surface faulting and earthquake recurrence interval indicates that the slip rate along the 1944 earthquake segment is 17-21 mm/yr in the late Holocene.

NW Iran, including the study area is one of the seismically active regions between Zagros Thrust Belt at the south and Caucasus at the north. In this region, an area known as Alborz-Azerbaijan zone includes many significant active fault zones. Not only large magnitude historical earthquakes (Ms>7), but also 1997 Ardebil (Mw 6.1) and 2012 Ahar-Varzagan (Mw 6.4) earthquakes reveal that the region is seismically active. The North Bozgush Fault Zone in this region has tens of kilometers in length and hundreds of meters in width. The zone has produced some large and destructive earthquakes.In this study five different study domains have been chosen along the North Bozgush Fault Zone. These are Sherbian, Danbaran, Anakiz, Damencan and Abgerm regions, respectively. The North Bozgush Fault Zone affects the Cenozoic units. Along this zone Eocene units thrusted over Miocene and/or Plio-Quaternary sedimentary units. The zone is mainly characterized by strike-slip faults with reverse component and reverse faults. Reverse faults striking N55o-85oE and dip of 40o-50o to the SW while strike-slip faults show right lateral slip with N50o-85oW and N60o-80oE directions.Our structural data analysis indicates that the North Bozgush Fault Zone shows σ1 principal stress (compression) with NW-SE direction and σ3 principal stress (extension) with NE-SW direction. The axis direction of σ2 principal stress is vertical and the stress ratio (R) is 0.12. These results suggest that the tectonic regime along the North Bozgush Fault Zone is transpressive. Fault slip analysis results are compatible with stress directions and GPS velocity results for NW Iran. Western part of the Bozgush Mountains is bounded with the Tabriz Fault Zone. Our field studies suggest that there is a genetic relationship between the North Bozgush Fault Zone and the Tabriz Fault Zone, İnceleme alanının yer aldığı KB İran, kuzeyde Kafkaslar güneyde Zagros Bindirme Kuşağı arasında yer alan sismik bölgelerden biridir. Bölgede Elborz-Azerbaycan Zonu olarak adlanan alan içerisinde aktivitesini sürdüren önemli fay zonları bulunmaktadır. Meydana gelen büyük tarihsel depremler (Ms>7) yanında 1997 Erdebil (Mw 6.1) ve 2012 Eher-Verzegan (Mw 6.4) depremleri bölgenin sismik aktivitesini ortaya koymaktadır. Bölge içerisinde yer alan Kuzey Bozkuş Fay Zonu onlarca kilometre uzunluğa ve yüzlerce metre genişliğe sahiptir. Zon, içerisinde oluşmuş tarihsel büyük depremler kayıtlarda yer almaktadır.Bu çalışmada Kuzey Bozkuş Fay Zonu 5 farklı alanda (Şerbiyan, Danbaran, Anakız, Damencan ve Abgerm bölgeleri) incelenmiştir. Kuzey Bozkuş Fay Zonu Senozoyik yaşlı litolojileri etkilemiş olup fay boyunca Eosen yaşlı birimler Miyosen ve/veya Pliyo-Kuvaterner çökel kayalar üzerine itilmiştir. Zon içerisindeki faylar egemen olarak ters bileşenli doğrultu atımlı ve ters faylar ile temsil olur. Ters faylar K55o-85oD, 40o-50oGB durumludur. Doğrultu atımlı faylar ise K50o-85oB ve K60o-80oD doğrultularda ve sağ yanal karakterdedir.Yapısal verilerin analizi Kuzey Bozkuş Fay Zonunun KB-GD σ1 (sıkışma) ve KD-GB σ3 (genişleme/gerilme) ana stres doğrultularına sahip olduğunu ortaya koyar. σ2 ana stres ekseni düşey konumda ve R değeri 0.12 dir. Bu sonuçlar KBFZ’de etkin tektonik rejimin yanal sıkışmalı olduğuna işaret eder. Fay kayma analiz sonuçları KB İran için önerilen stres yönelimi ve GPS çalışmalarından elde edilen sonuçlarla uyumludur. Bozkuş Dağları’nın batı kesimi Tebriz Fay Zonu ile sınırlanır. Arazi gözlemleri Tebriz Fay Zonu’nun bu çalışmaya konu olan Kuzey Bozkuş Fay Zonu ile kökensel ilişkili olduğunu ortaya koyar

In this paper, we address the problem of ε-tracking and ε-stabilization for a class of SE(2) vehicles with second-order nonholonomic constraints. We introduce a class of transformations called near-identity diffeomorphism that allow dynamic partial feedback linearization of the translational dynamics of this class of SE(2) vehicles. This allows us to achieve global exponential ε-stabilization and ε-tracking (in position) for the aforementioned classes of autonomous vehicles using a coordinate-independent dynamic state feedback. This feedback is only discontinuous w.r.t. the augmented state. We apply our results to ε-stabilization and ε-tracking for an underactuated surface vessel.

In this paper, we address nonlinear control and reduction of high-order underactuated mechanical systems with kinetic symmetry and input coupling. In some aerospace vehicles, the effects of the control of the attitude dynamics appears in the translational dynamics. We present a general framework for decoupling of these effects. The decoupling is done by applying a change of coordinates in explicit form that transforms the original system into a cascade nonlinear system. We obtain three types of cascade normal forms, namely, nonlinear systems in strict feedback form, strict feedforward form, and nontriangular quadratic form. For a class of underactuated systems that are differentially flat, we obtain the flat outputs automatically as a by-product of the decoupling change of coordinates.

KUVARS KRİSTAL MIKROBALANS SİSTEMİ: TASARM/İMALAT/UYGULAMALAR Reza Saber Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Kimya Mühendisliği Bölümü, Biyomühendislik Anabilim Dalı ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı Hepatit B (HB) antijeni, İnsan Serum Albümini (HSA) ve sulu ortamda bulunan ağır metal iyonlarının tayininde kullanılmak üzere bir seri protein ligandlan taşıyan piezoelektrik kristal bazlı biyosensörlerin geliştirilmesidir. Gümüş (Ag) elektrotlu tcuvars kristali kullanılmıştır. Bu kristallerin yüzeyleri ilk olarak plazma poiimerizasiyonu ile farklı şartlarda etilen diamin plazmasr/ia etkileştirildi. Yüzey uygulamalarının ardından kristallerin rezonans akanslannda değişimler gözlendi. Uygun plazma poiimerizasiyonu şartlan şu şekildedir; uygulama süresi: 30 dk. ve boşaltım gücü: 15 W. İkinci basamakta ise, uygun şartlarda modifiye edilen kristaller daha sonra sabit miktarlarda Glutaraldehit (GA) içeren çözeltileri ile farklı sürelerde etkileştirildi. Uygun GA uygulama şartları şu şekildedir; GA konsantrasyonları: %2.5 ve uygulama süresi: 16 saat 4 °C.Birinci tür immunosensörde anti-HB antikorunun modİfıye edilmiş kristal yüzeylerine farklı şartlarda immobilize ettik. Uygun antikor immobilizasiyon şartlan şu şekildedir; pH: 9.4, immobilizasiyon süresi: 2 saat ve antikor konsantrasyonu: 0.15 mg/ml. Anti-HB moleküllerini spesifik ligand olarak taşıyan kristaller daha sonra HB antijenlerinin sulu ortamda tayini için kullanıldı. İmmobilizasiy onlar HB antijen sensörleri için belirlenenlere benzer şartlarda gerçekleştirildi. Uygun anti-HSA antikor immobilizasiyon şartlan şu şekildedir; pH: 6.2, immobilizasiyon süresi: 2 saat ve antikor konsantrasyonu: 0.15mg/ml. İşlemlerin sonucunda ortaya çıkan kalibrasiyon grafiği (13.85-55,44) x 10~3 IU aralığında düz bir çizgiye yakın bir kalibrasiyon grafiği veriyor. Uygulamalar çalışmasının ikinci basamağında insan serum albüminini (HAS) sulu ortamda tayini için bir immunosensör geliştirildi. Bu çalışma sırasında, HB antijen sensörü için yapılan immobilizasiyon işlemlerine benzer işlemler yapıldı. Anti-HAS antikor immobilizasiyonu için optimum şartlar tayin edildi. Buna göre optimum pH: 6.2; optimum immobilizasiyon süresi: 2 saat oda sıcaklığında, optimum antikor konsantrasyonu: 0.15 mg/ml. Bu kristaller sulu ortamda HSA konsantrasyonlannın ölçülmesi için başanyla kullanılmıştır. Son basamakta metalotiyonein (MT) GAtutturulmuş kristale kovalent olarak farklı şartlarda immobilize edildi. Uygun MT immobilizasiyon şartlan şu şekildedir; pH: 7.4, immobilizasiyon süresi: 4 saat ve metalotiyonein konsantrasyonu 30 [ig/ml. Bu kristaller daha sonra Zn (II) ve Cd (II) çözeltileri ile farklı şartlarda inkübe edildi. Sonuçlar MT kristallerinin Cd (II)'ye Zn (Il)'ye oranla daha duyarlı olduğunu ve yarışmalı çalışmada ise Cd (Il)'nin Zn (Il)'ye oranının 3.75/6.25 ppm'den daha yüksek olduğunda yani Cd(II)/Zn(II) oranının artmasıyla metal atomlarının bağlanması artmaktadır. Yukarıda bahsedilen her basamaktan sonra yüzey değişimleri, modifikasyonları açıkça gösteren, taramalı tünelleme mikroskopisi görüntülerinin çekilmesiyle takip edildi. Quartz crystal with Ag electrodes were used. Surfaces of these crystals were first treated in a glow-discharge apparatus with the ethylene diamine plasma at different conditions. Surface treatments were followed by the changes in the resonance frequency of the crystals. The optimal glow-discharge treatment conditions were as follows: the treatment time: 30 min, and the discharge power: 1 5 watt. The crystals modified at optimal conditions were then taken in the second step, in which the surfaces were treated in glutaraldehyde (GA) solution^ having constant amounts of GA for different time periods: The optimal GA-treatment conditions were as follows: the GA concentration: %2.5, and the treatment time: 16 hours. In the first type of immuııosensor, we immobilized anti-HB antibody on the surface modified crystal surfaces at different conditions. The optimal antibody immobilization conditions were as follows: pH: 9.4; the immobilization period: 2 hours, and the antibody concentration: 2 mg/'ml. The crystals carrying the anti-HB molecules as the specific ligand were then used for the detection of HB antigens in aqueous media. The operating line was quite close to a straight line in the studied region [(13.85-55,44) x 1(T3 IU]. In the second type of immunosensor was for the detection of the HSA in aqueous media. The immobilizations were performed at the similar conditions given for the HB antigen sensor: The optimal anti-HSA antibody immobilization conditions were as follows: pH: 6.2; the immobilization period: 2 hours, and the antibody concentration: 0.15 mg/ml. These crystals were successfully used in the measurement of HSA concentrations in aqueous media. At the last step, metallothionein (MT) was covalently immobilized on the GA-attached crystal at different conditions. The optimal MT immobilization conditions were as follows: pH: 7.4; the immobilization period: 4 hours, and the metallothioneinconcentration: 30 ug/ml. These crystals were then incubated with Zn(II) and Cd(II) solutions at different conditions. These results showed that the MT crystals are more sensitive to Cd(II) then Zn(II) and in competitive study as the ratio of Cd(II) to Zn(II) increases from 3.75/6.25 ppm to higher ratios of Cd(II) to Zn(II) the binding of metal atoms increases. The surface changes after each step mentioned above, were followed by getting the scanning tunneling microscopy images of the surfaces, which clearly showed the modifications. n-p, Z` -Z° ve Z° -Z+ 'NIN ELEKTROMAGNETİK KÜTLE FARKLARI (Yüksek Lisans ) Reza SABER Gazi Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Haziran 1995 ÖZET n-p, £`-L° and 1° -Z+ 'nm elektromagnetik kütle farkları kuark modelinde Gaussien dalga fonksiyonu kullanılarak araştırıldı. Tek foton ve tek gluon değiş -tokuşu için Fermi-Breit etkileşmesi hesap edildi. Bu baryonların elektromagnetik küle farkını bulmak için m^-mu kuark kütle farkı ile, spin ve spin yapılarına göre bu baryonlardaki kuarklar arasındaki farklı bağıl uzaklıkları kullanıldı, n-p, S`-Z° and S°-S+ 'nın kütle farklarım sırayla 1.315, 4.997 ve 3.21 MeV bulduk. Elde edilen bu değerler deneysel sonuçlarla uyum içindedir. Thesis) Reza SABER GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY June 1995 ABSTRACT The electromagnetic mass differences of n-p, I`-E0 and E°-Z+ are investigated in the quark model with Gaussian wave function. The Fermi-Breit interactions for one photon exchange and one gluon exchange terms are calculated. To obtain the electromagnetic mass differences of these baryons, with common quark mass difference md-mu, we used different relative distances between quarks in these baryons, due to spin, spin structure. The electromagnetic mass differences of n-p, S`-S° and S°-2+ are predicted to be 1.315, 4.997, 3.21 MeV in good agreement with experiments.
