The article reports on the findings of a coral reef study conducted by a team of researchers in Moorea, a French Polynesian island in the Pacific. The team found that despite the heavy damage from the bleaching events, corals in different regions have managed to recover such as those in Moorea. According to researcher Lucie Penin, the corals being studied are located in the area where it is not heavily populated and it may be the reason of its resistance.
