- Abstract
This qualitative case study, utilizing interviews and observations, investigated the perception, use, training, and application of Restorative Justice interventions by secondary school Deans of Students. Investigation revealed that although the participating Deans of Students were fully trained in Restorative Justice practices, they were not always comfortable using Restorative Justice due to their lack of ongoing training, nor were they always the leading implementors. The findings of this study indicated and confirmed the need for ongoing Restorative Justice training for all stakeholders within the educational system, as training was deemed insufficient post-initial training, and not all deliverers of Restorative Justice were trained in the district program.
