Abstract: This document is comprised of a collection of updated preliminary parameters for the key parts of the muon collider. The updated preliminary parameters follow on from the October 2023 Tentative Parameters Report. Particular attention has been given to regions of the facility that are believed to hold greater technical uncertainty in their design and that have a strong impact on the cost and power consumption of the facility. The data is collected from a collaborative spreadsheet and transferred to overleaf.

2. Functional Data Analysis on Wearable Sensor Data: A Systematic Review

Abstract: Wearable devices and sensors have recently become a popular way to collect data, especially in the health sciences. The use of sensors allows patients to be monitored over a period of time with a high observation frequency. Due to the continuous-on-time structure of the data, novel statistical methods are recommended for the analysis of sensor data. One of the popular approaches in the analysis of wearable sensor data is functional data analysis. The main objective of this paper is to review functional data analysis methods applied to wearable device data according to the type of sensor. In addition, we introduce several freely available software packages and open databases of wearable device data to facilitate access to sensor data in different fields.

3. Constraints on $\tau$ electromagnetic moments via tau pair production at the Muon colliders

Abstract: The anomalous magnetic ($\tilde{a}_\tau$) and electric dipole ($\tilde{d}_\tau$) moment of tau lepton described in $\tau\bar{\tau}\gamma$ vertices are studied via $\mu^{+}\mu^{-} \rightarrow \tau^+\bar{\tau}^-$ process at the Muon colliders designed with the proposed center-of-mass-energy / integrated luminosity configurations of 3 TeV/ 1 ab$^{-1}$ and 10 TeV/ 10 ab$^{-1}$.We obtained the $95\%$ confidence level limits on the $\tilde{a}_\tau$ and $\tilde{d}_\tau$ parameters without and with systematic uncertainty of $10\%$ and compared with the experimental results.The most stringent limits on the anomalous couplings without systematic uncertainty are $-2.63\times10^{-4}< \tilde{a}_\tau <2. 65\times10^{-4}$ and $\mid \tilde{d}_\tau \mid \leq 1.47\times10^{-18} e cm$ at $\sqrt s =10$ TeV and $L_{int}$=10 ab$^{-1}$ option of the Muon collider. Our results show that the Muon colliders lead to a remarkable improvement on the current experimental limits of the anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments of the tau lepton., Comment: 12 pages, 3 figures

Abstract: The International Muon Collider Collaboration (IMCC) [1] was established in 2020 following the recommendations of the European Strategy for Particle Physics (ESPP) and the implementation of the European Strategy for Particle Physics-Accelerator R&D Roadmap by the Laboratory Directors Group [2], hereinafter referred to as the the European LDG roadmap. The Muon Collider Study (MuC) covers the accelerator complex, detectors and physics for a future muon collider. In 2023, European Commission support was obtained for a design study of a muon collider (MuCol) [3]. This project started on 1st March 2023, with work-packages aligned with the overall muon collider studies. In preparation of and during the 2021-22 U.S. Snowmass process, the muon collider project parameters, technical studies and physics performance studies were performed and presented in great detail. Recently, the P5 panel [4] in the U.S. recommended a muon collider R&D, proposed to join the IMCC and envisages that the U.S. should prepare to host a muon collider, calling this their "muon shot". 6. Probing the electromagnetic properties of the neutrinos at future lepton colliders

Abstract: In this study, we explore the non-standard $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings parametrized by dimension-seven operators via $e^{+}e^{-} \to \nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ process at the FCC-ee/CEPC and $\mu^{+}\mu^{-}\to\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ process at the Muon Colliders. For the detailed Monte Carlo simulation, all signal and relevant background events are produced within the framework of Madgraph where non-standard $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings are implemented. After passing through Pythia for parton showering and hadronization, detector effects are included via tuned corresponding detector cards for each collider in Delphes. Projected sensitivities on $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings are obtained at a 5$\sigma$ confidence level without and with $5\%$ systematic uncertainties for the FCC-ee/CEPC and the Muon Colliders, showcasing the complementarity between lepton colliders. 8. Sensitivity of anomalous quartic gauge couplings via tri-photon production at FCC-hh

Abstract: A direct investigation of the self-couplings of gauge bosons, completely described by the non-Abelian gauge symmetry of the Standard Model, is extremely valuable in understanding the gauge structure of the SM. Any deviation from the SM predictions on gauge boson self-coupling is to give a hint at the existence of a new physics beyond the SM, which is defined with a modification of the self-interactions using an effective field theory approach. In this paper, we present a detailed Monte Carlo study searching for anomalous quartic gauge dimension-8 couplings related to $\gamma\gamma\gamma\gamma$ and $\gamma\gamma\gamma Z$ vertices at the future hadron-hadron collider (FCC-hh) via tri-photon production at a 100 TeV center of mass energy with an integrated luminosity L$_{int}$=30 ab$^{-1}$. Events that have been parton showered and include detector effects are analyzed with a Toolkit for Multivariate Data Analysis (TMVA) using a boosted decision tree to help distinguish between signal and background events to achieve the best sensitivities on anomalous quartic gauge couplings. Our obtained results reveal that the limits on anomalous quartic gauge couplings $f_{T8}/\Lambda^{4}$ and $f_{T9}/\Lambda^{4}$ at 95\% C.L. without systematic errors are about three orders of magnitude stronger compared to the best current experimental limits reported by the ATLAS collaboration at the LHC. Considering a realistic systematic uncertainty such as 10\% from possible experimental sources, our obtained limits of anomalous quartic couplings get worse by about one order of magnitude compared to those without systematic uncertainty but are still two orders of magnitude better than those recently reported by ATLAS., Comment: 17 pages, 6 figures, some typos corrected and reference added

10. Search for the electromagnetic properties of the neutrinos at the HL-LHC and the FCC-hh

Abstract: The $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings parametrized with the non-standard dimension-seven operators defined by the Effective Field Theory framework are investigated through the process $pp\to \nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ at the High Luminosity-LHC and the Future Circular proton-proton Collider. The effective Lagrangian of $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings is implemented into FeynRules to generate a UFO module inserted into Madgraph to generate both background and signal events. These events are then passed through Pythia 8 for parton showering and Delphes to include realistic detector effects. The sensitivities on $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings are obtained at $95\%$ confidence level. We show that the analysis of the signal emerging from the process $pp\to \nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ allows to improve constraints on $\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma \gamma$ couplings given by the LEP collaboration., Comment: 14 pages, 6 figures, 2 tables, version accepted for publication in Physics Letters B

Abstract: Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (DMAPS) sensors developed in the Tower Semiconductor 180 nm CMOS imaging process have been designed in the context of the ATLAS ITk upgrade Phase-II at the HL-LHC and for future collider experiments. The "MALTA-Czochralski (MALTA-Cz)" full size DMAPS sensor has been developed with the goal to demonstrate a radiation hard, thin CMOS sensor with high granularity, high hit-rate capability, fast response time and superior radiation tolerance. The small pixel size ($36.4\times 36.4$~$\mu$m$^2$) provides high spatial resolution. Its asynchronous readout architecture is designed for high hit-rates and fast time response in triggered and trigger-less detector applications. The readout architecture is designed to stream all hit data to the multi-channel output which allows an off-sensor trigger formation and the use of hit-time information for event tagging. The sensor manufacturing has been optimised through process adaptation and special implant designs to allow the manufacturing of small electrode DMAPS on thick high-resistivity p-type Czochralski substrate. The special processing ensures excellent charge collection and charge particle detection efficiency even after a high level of radiation. Furthermore the special implant design and use of a Czochralski substrate improves the sensor's time resolution. This paper presents a summary of sensor design optimisation through process and implant choices and TCAD simulation to model the signal response. Beam and laboratory test results on unirradiated and irradiated sensors have shown excellent detection efficiency after a dose of $2\times10^{15}$ 1 MeV n$_{eq}$/cm$^{2}$. The time resolution of the sensor is measured to be $\sigma=2$~ns.

Abstract: The MALTA family of Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (DMAPS) produced in Tower 180 nm CMOS technology targets radiation hard applications for the HL-LHC and beyond. Several process modifications and front-end improvements have resulted in radiation hardness up to $2 \times 10^{15}~1~\text{MeV}~\text{n}_{eq}/\text{cm}^2$ and time resolution below 2 ns, with uniform charge collection efficiency across the Pixel of size $36.4 \times 36.4~\mu\text{m}^2$ with a $3~\mu\text{m}^2$ electrode size. The MALTA2 demonstrator produced in 2021 on high-resistivity epitaxial silicon and on Czochralski substrates implements a new cascoded front-end that reduces the RTS noise and has a higher gain. Abstract: To achieve the physics goals of future colliders, it is necessary to develop novel, radiation-hard silicon sensors for their tracking detectors. We target the replacement of hybrid pixel detectors with Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (DMAPS) that are radiation-hard, monolithic CMOS sensors. We have designed, manufactured and tested the MALTA series of sensors, which are DMAPS in the 180 nm TowerJazz CMOS imaging technology. MALTA have a pixel pitch well below current hybrid pixel detectors, high time resolution (< 2 ns) and excellent charge collection efficiency across pixel geometries. These sensors have a total silicon thickness of between 50-300 $\mu$m, implying reduced material budgets and multiple scattering rates for future detectors which utilize such technology. Furthermore, their monolithic design bypasses the costly stage of bump-bonding in hybrid sensors and can substantially reduce detector costs. 14. Model-independent study on the anomalous $ZZ\gamma$ and $Z\gamma\gamma$ couplings at the future muon collider

Abstract: In this study, we investigate the potential of $\mu^{-} \mu^{+}\to Z\gamma \to \nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ process at the future muon collider with a center-of-mass energy of 3 TeV to examine the anomalous $ZZ\gamma$ and $Z\gamma\gamma$ neutral triple gauge couplings defining $CP$-conserving $C_{\widetilde{B}W}/{\Lambda^4}$ coupling and three $CP$-violating $C_{BB}/{\Lambda^4}$, $C_{BW}/{\Lambda^4}$, $C_{WW}/{\Lambda^4}$ couplings. All signal and relevant background events are generated in MadGraph and passed through Pythia for parton showering and hadronization. Detector effects are also considered via tuned muon detector cards in Delphes. The effects of systematic uncertainties of $0\%$, $3\%$ and $5\%$ on the sensitivities are studied. The best sensitivities obtained from the process $\mu^{-} \mu^{+}\to Z\gamma \to \nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ are $[-6.53;6.64]\times10^{-2}$ TeV$^{-4}$ on $CP$-conserving $C_{\widetilde{B}W}/{\Lambda^4}$ coupling and $[-2.47;2.47]\times10^{-2}$ TeV$^{-4}$, $[-8.46;8.46]\times10^{-2}$ TeV$^{-4}$ and $[-2.20;2.20]\times10^{-1}$ TeV$^{-4}$ on $CP$-conserving $C_{BB}/{\Lambda^4}$, $C_{BW}/{\Lambda^4}$, $C_{WW}/{\Lambda^4}$ couplings , respectively. Our obtained results on the anomalous neutral gauge couplings set more stringent sensitivity, ranging between 5 and 15 times than the current experimental results while slightly better than the phenomenological studies at future pp colliders such as the HL-LHC, the HE-LHC and the FCC-hh, respectively. On the other hand, we can see that the bounds on the anomalous neutral gauge couplings expected to be obtained for the future $e^{-}e^{+}$ colliders such as the CLIC are roughly 2 times better than our results., Comment: 21 pages, 9 figures

Abstract: In this paper we report on the current status of studies on the expected performance for a detector designed to operate in a muon collider environment. Beam-induced backgrounds (BIB) represent the main challenge in the design of the detector and the event reconstruction algorithms. The current detector design aims to show that satisfactory performance can be achieved, while further optimizations are expected to significantly improve the overall performance. We present the characterization of the expected beam-induced background, describe the detector design and software used for detailed event simulations taking into account BIB effects. The expected performance of charged-particle reconstruction, jets, electrons, photons and muons is discussed, including an initial study on heavy-flavor jet tagging. A simple method to measure the delivered luminosity is also described. Overall, the proposed design and reconstruction algorithms can successfully reconstruct the high transverse-momentum objects needed to carry out a broad physics program., Comment: contribution to Snowmass 2021

Abstract: Muon colliders provide a unique route to deliver high energy collisions that enable discovery searches and precision measurements to extend our understanding of the fundamental laws of physics. The muon collider design aims to deliver physics reach at the highest energies with costs, power consumption and on a time scale that may prove favorable relative to other proposed facilities. In this context, a new international collaboration has formed to further extend the design concepts and performance studies of such a machine. This effort is focused on delivering the elements of a $\sim$10 TeV center of mass (CM) energy design to explore the physics energy frontier. The path to such a machine may pass through lower energy options. Currently a 3 TeV CM stage is considered. Other energy stages could also be explored, e.g. an s-channel Higgs Factory operating at 125 GeV CM. Abstract: In the path towards a muon collider with center of mass energy of 10 TeV or more, a stage at 3 TeV emerges as an appealing option. Reviewing the physics potential of such muon collider is the main purpose of this document. In order to outline the progression of the physics performances across the stages, a few sensitivity projections for higher energy are also presented. There are many opportunities for probing new physics at a 3 TeV muon collider. Some of them are in common with the extensively documented physics case of the CLIC 3 TeV energy stage, and include measuring the Higgs trilinear coupling and testing the possible composite nature of the Higgs boson and of the top quark at the 20 TeV scale. Other opportunities are unique of a 3 TeV muon collider, and stem from the fact that muons are collided rather than electrons. 19. Sensitivity of Anomalous Quartic Gauge Couplings via $Z\gamma\gamma$ Production at Future hadron-hadron Colliders

Abstract: Triple gauge boson production provides a promising opportunity to probe the anomalous quartic gauge couplings in understanding the details of electroweak symmetry breaking at future hadron-hadron collider facilities with increasing center of mass energy and luminosity. In this paper, we investigate the sensitivities of dimension-8 anomalous couplings related to the $ZZ\gamma\gamma$ and $Z\gamma\gamma\gamma$ quartic vertices, defined in the effective field theory framework, via $pp\to Z\gamma\gamma$ signal process with Z-boson decaying to charged leptons at the high luminosity phase of LHC (HL-LHC) and future facilities, namely the High Energy LHC (HE-LHC) and Future Circular hadron-hadron collider (FCC-hh). We analyzed the signal and relevant backgrounds via a cut based method with Monte Carlo event sampling where the detector responses of three hadron collider facilities, the center-of-mass energies of 14, 27 and 100 TeV with an integrated luminosities of 3, 15 and 30 ab$^{-1}$ are considered for the HL-LHC, HE-LHC and FCC-hh, respectively. The reconstructed 4-body invariant mass of $l^+l^-\gamma\gamma$ system is used to constrain the anomalous quartic gauge coupling parameters under the hypothesis of absence of anomalies in triple gauge couplings. Our results indicate that the sensitivity on anomalous quartic couplings $f_{T8}/\Lambda^{4}$ and $f_{T9}/\Lambda^{4}$ ($f_{T0}/\Lambda^{4}$, $f_{T1}/\Lambda^{4}$ and $f_{T2}/\Lambda^{4}$) at 95$\%$ C.L. for FCC-hh with $L_{int}$ = 30 ab$^{-1}$ without systematic errors are two (one) order better than the current experimental limits. Considering a realistic systematic uncertainty such as 10$\%$ from possible experimental sources, the sensitivity of all anomalous quartic couplings gets worsen by about 1.2$\%$, 1.7$\%$ and 1.5$\%$ compared to those without systematic uncertainty for HL-LHC, HE-LHC and FCC-hh, respectively., Comment: 27 pages, 13 figures, 5 tables, version published in Nuclear Physics B

20. Study of a large array to detect ultra high energy tau-neutrino

Abstract: The $PeV$ cosmogenic neutrino is still interesting argument. Since cosmogenic neutrinos interact weakly with matter, the detection of their direction will precisely point out the source in the space. In this paper, we show the results of the simulation of tau lepton air showers induced by high energy neutrinos detected by an array of stations designed to use the Earth Skimming method improved by the "mountain chain screen" strategy. Both track time stamp and position information of the stations on the array are used to reconstruct the shower to estimate the direction and the number of events. The array studied consists of 640 stations ($40 \times 16$) spread over an area of $0.6\,km^2$ starting from $1500\,m$ above the sea level (a.s.l.) on $30^{o}$ inclined plane of the mountain. When we extrapolate to 3 years and 10 $km^2$ we estimate 13 tau lepton events in energy interval of 10 PeV to 1000 PeV detected using the present upper limits of tau neutrino flux., Comment: 14 pages, 5 figures

Abstract: The Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) in Darmstadt, Germany, provides unique possibilities for a new generation of hadron-, nuclear- and atomic physics experiments. The future antiProton ANnihilations at DArmstadt (PANDA or $\overline{\rm P}$ANDA) experiment at FAIR will offer a broad physics programme, covering different aspects of the strong interaction. Understanding the latter in the non-perturbative regime remains one of the greatest challenges in contemporary physics. The antiproton-nucleon interaction studied with PANDA provides crucial tests in this area. Furthermore, the high-intensity, low-energy domain of PANDA allows for searches for physics beyond the Standard Model, e.g. through high precision symmetry tests. This paper takes into account a staged approach for the detector setup and for the delivered luminosity from the accelerator. Abstract: After the recent discovery of a neutral Higgs boson with a mass about 125 GeV, we assess the extend of discovery potential of future circular hadron collider (FCC-hh) for a charged Higgs boson in the bottom and top quark decay channel. The charged Higgs boson can be produced through the pp->h^{-}t+X process with a subsequent decay h^{-}->b bar{t} channel. This decay channel is particularly important for studying the charged Higgs boson heavier than the top quark. We consider an extension of the standard model Higgs sector, namely two Higgs doublet model (2HDM), and perform a dedicated signal significance analysis to test this channel for the FCC-hh running at the center of mass energy of 100 TeV and the integrated luminosity of 1 ab^{-1} (initial) and 30 ab^{-1} (ultimate). Abstract: The Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) is designed to move the field of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) to the energy and intensity frontier of particle physics. Exploiting energy recovery technology, it collides a novel, intense electron beam with a proton or ion beam from the High Luminosity--Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). The accelerator and interaction region are designed for concurrent electron-proton and proton-proton operation. This report represents an update of the Conceptual Design Report (CDR) of the LHeC, published in 2012. It comprises new results on parton structure of the proton and heavier nuclei, QCD dynamics, electroweak and top-quark physics. It is shown how the LHeC will open a new chapter of nuclear particle physics in extending the accessible kinematic range in lepton-nucleus scattering by several orders of magnitude. Due to enhanced luminosity, large energy and the cleanliness of the hadronic final states, the LHeC has a strong Higgs physics programme and its own discovery potential for new physics. Building on the 2012 CDR, the report represents a detailed updated design of the energy recovery electron linac (ERL) including new lattice, magnet, superconducting radio frequency technology and further components. Challenges of energy recovery are described and the lower energy, high current, 3-turn ERL facility, PERLE at Orsay, is presented which uses the LHeC characteristics serving as a development facility for the design and operation of the LHeC. An updated detector design is presented corresponding to the acceptance, resolution and calibration goals which arise from the Higgs and parton density function physics programmes. The paper also presents novel results on the Future Circular Collider in electron-hadron mode, FCC-eh, which utilises the same ERL technology to further extend the reach of DIS to even higher centre-of-mass energies., Comment: 373 pages, many figures, to be published by J. 25. Sensitivity reach on anomalous Higgs couplings via triphoton production for the post-LHC circular high-energy hadron colliders

Abstract: The potential of triphoton production to obtain limits on anomalous Higgs boson couplings at $H\gamma\gamma$ and $HZ\gamma$ vertices is studied in Standard Model Effective Field Theory (EFT) framework for the post-LHC circular high-energy hadron colliders: High Luminosity-LHC (HL-LHC), High Energy LHC (HE-LHC) and Low Energy FCC (LE-FCC) which are designed with standard configurations of 14 TeV/3 ab$^{-1}$, 27 TeV/15 ab$^{-1}$ and 37.5 TeV/15 ab$^{-1}$. Madgraph in which the effective Lagrangian of the SM EFT is implemented using FeynRules and UFO framework is used to generate both background and signal events. These events are then passed through Pythia 8 for parton showering and Delphes to include realistic detector effects. After optimizing cuts on kinematics of three photons as well as the reconstructed invariant mass of the two leading photons, invariant mass of three leading photon is used to obtain constraints on the Wilson coefficients of dimension-six operators. We report the result of two dimensional scan of $\bar{c}_{\gamma}$ and $\tilde{c}_{\gamma}$ couplings at 95\% confidence level and compare with LHC results. Our obtained limits without systematic error on $\bar{c}_{\gamma}$ ( $\tilde{c}_{\gamma}$) are $[-3.15;1.41]\times10^{-2}$ ($[-2.12;2.12]\times10^{-2}$), $[-1.21;0.78]\times10^{-2}$ ($[-0.98;0.98]\times10^{-2}$) and $[-0.89;0.66]\times10^{-2}$ ($[-0.77;0.77]\times10^{-2}$) for HL-LHC, HE-LHC and LE-FCC, respectively., Comment: 16 pages, 10 figures, version accepted in Acta Physica Polonica B. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1901.04784

26. Prospective constraints on anomalous Higgs boson interactions in an effective Lagrangian via diphoton production at FCC-hh

Abstract: We study the CP-conserving and CP-violating dimension-six operators of Higgs-gauge boson couplings via $pp\to\gamma\gamma$+n-jet signal process in a strongly interacting light Higgs based effective field theory framework at the center of mass energy of 100 TeV. In order to perform a simulation which includes realistic detector effects, the signal events in the existence of $\bar{c}_{\gamma} $, $\tilde{c}_{\gamma}$, $\bar{c}_{g} $ and $\tilde{c}_{g}$ Wilson coefficients and the relevant SM background events are generated in MadGraph, then passed through Pythia 8 for parton showering and finally run Delphes with FCC-hh detector card. In our analysis, we focus on the kinematic variables of the two photons in the final states of signal and relevant background processes that can reconstruct Higgs boson. We obtain constraints on the four Wilson coefficients of dimension-six operators using the transverse momentum distribution of reconstructed di-photon system with optimized kinematic cuts. The obtained 95\% confidence level limits on these four Wilson coefficients including detector effects at $\sqrt s$=100 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 30 ab$^{-1}$ without systematic error are at least one order or more better than current experimental limits reported by ATLAS experiment. 27. The projections on $ZZ\gamma$ and $Z\gamma\gamma$ couplings via $\nu\bar \nu \gamma$ production in HL-LHC and HE-LHC

Abstract: We investigate the sensitivity of the anomalous dimension-8 neutral triple gauge couplings via process $pp\to \nu\nu\gamma$ with fast detector simulation including pile-up effects for the post LHC experiments. The transverse momentum of the final state photon and missing energy transverse distributions are considered in the analysis. We obtain the sensitivity to the $C_{\widetilde B W}/\Lambda^4$, $C_{B B}/\Lambda^4$, $C_{WW}/\Lambda^4$ and $C_{BW}/\Lambda^4$ couplings at HL-LHC and HE-LHC with an integrated luminosity of 3 ab$^{-1}$ and 15 ab$^{-1}$, respectively. Finally, our numerical results show that one can reach the constraints at 95\% confidence level without systematic error on $C_{\widetilde BW}/\Lambda^4$, $C_{B B}/\Lambda^4$, $C_{W W}/\Lambda^4$ and $C_{BW}/\Lambda^4$ couplings for HL-LHC (HE-LHC) as [-0.38;0.38] ([-0.12;0.12]), [-0.21;0.21]([-0.085;0.085]), [-1.08;1.08]([-0.38;0.38]) and [-0.48;0.48]([-0.25;0.25]), respectively. Abstract: Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (DMAPS) prototypes developed in the TowerJazz 180 nm CMOS imaging process have been designed in the context of the ATLAS upgrade Phase-II at the HL-LHC. The pixel sensors are characterized by a small collection electrode (3 $\mu$m) to minimize capacitance, a small pixel size ($36.4\times 36.4$ $\mu$m), and are produced on high resistivity epitaxial p-type silicon. The design targets a radiation hardness of $1\times10^{15}$ 1 MeV n$_{eq}$/cm$^{2}$, compatible with the outermost layer of the ATLAS ITK Pixel detector. This paper presents the results from characterization in particle beam tests of the Mini-MALTA prototype that implements a mask change or an additional implant to address the inefficiencies on the pixel edges. Results show full efficiency after a dose of $1\times10^{15}$ 1 MeV n$_{eq}$/cm$^{2}$.

29. CP-violating Higgs-gauge boson couplings in $H\nu \bar{\nu}$ production at three energy stages of CLIC

Abstract: A phenomenological study of CP-violating dimension-six operators via the $e^+e^-\to\nu \bar{\nu} H$ process is performed in a model-independent Standard Model effective field theory framework at all energy stages of CLIC using the updated baseline integrated luminosities. All signal and relevant background events are generated in MadGraph and passed through PYTHIA for parton showering and hadronization at parton level. Detector effects are considered via tuned CLIC detector cards in Delphes. Since we reconstruct the Higgs boson from a pair of b-jets, limits on CP-violating dimension-six couplings are obtained at three $b$-tagging working points: tight, medium and loose defined in the CLIC Delphes card for all three energy stages of CLIC. Our best 95 \% C.L. limits at the loose working point (90 \% b-tagging efficiency) on $\tilde c_{HW}$ and $\tilde c_{HB}$ are $[-7.0\times10^{-3};7.0\times10^{-3}]$ and $[-3.0\times10^{-2};3.0\times10^{-2}]$, respectively at the 3 TeV energy stage of CLIC with an integrated luminosity of 5.0 ab$^{-1}$. Considering a 0.3 \% systematic uncertainty from possible experimental sources worsens the limits on these couplings by a factor of two., Comment: 13 pages, 10 figures

We performed an analysis on transverse momentum of photon and angular distribution of charged lepton in the final state including detector effects. Sensitivity limits of the C_{\widetilde{B}W}, C_{BB} couplings are obtained at 95 % C.L. to constrain for the range [-1.88: 1.88] TeV^{-4}, [-1.47: 1.47] TeV^{-4} and [-1.14:1.14] TeV^{-4}, [-0.86: 0.86] TeV^{-4} with an integrated luminosity of 300 fb^{-1} and 3000 fb^{-1}, respectively.

32. Top quark anomalous FCNC production via $tqg$ couplings at FCC-hh

Abstract: We investigate the top quark anomalous Flavor Changing Neutral Current (FCNC) $tqg$ interactions to probe limits on the couplings $\zeta_c$ and $\zeta_u$ through the $qg \to l\nu b$ signal suprocess at FCC-hh collider with center of mass energy of 100 TeV. To separate signal from relevant Standard Model background processes, selection criteria based on Boosted Decision Trees (BDT) is used with a set of useful kinematic variables. The sensitivities on the anomalous top FCNC couplings $\zeta_u$ and $\zeta_c$ are found to be $1.239\times10^{-4}$ and $1.149\times10^{-4}$ for FCC-hh with $L_{int}$=10 ab$^{-1}$ at 95 \% C.L. including realistic detector effects of the FCC-hh baseline detector, respectively. The branchings $BR (t \to ug)$ and $BR (t \to c g)$ converted from obtained limits for FCNC couplings are at the order of $10^{-7}$ which is at least one order of magnitude better than the projected limits of HL-LHC with $L_{int}$= 3 ab$^{-1}$., Comment: 17 pages, 9 figures, 2 tables, to appear in Phys. Abstract: The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a TeV-scale high-luminosity linear $e^+e^-$ collider under development at CERN. Following the CLIC conceptual design published in 2012, this report provides an overview of the CLIC project, its current status, and future developments. It presents the CLIC physics potential and reports on design, technology, and implementation aspects of the accelerator and the detector. CLIC is foreseen to be built and operated in stages, at centre-of-mass energies of 380 GeV, 1.5 TeV and 3 TeV, respectively. CLIC uses a two-beam acceleration scheme, in which 12 GHz accelerating structures are powered via a high-current drive beam. For the first stage, an alternative with X-band klystron powering is also considered. CLIC accelerator optimisation, technical developments and system tests have resulted in an increased energy efficiency (power around 170 MW) for the 380 GeV stage, together with a reduced cost estimate at the level of 6 billion CHF. The detector concept has been refined using improved software tools. Significant progress has been made on detector technology developments for the tracking and calorimetry systems. A wide range of CLIC physics studies has been conducted, both through full detector simulations and parametric studies, together providing a broad overview of the CLIC physics potential. Each of the three energy stages adds cornerstones of the full CLIC physics programme, such as Higgs width and couplings, top-quark properties, Higgs self-coupling, direct searches, and many precision electroweak measurements. The interpretation of the combined results gives crucial and accurate insight into new physics, largely complementary to LHC and HL-LHC. The construction of the first CLIC energy stage could start by 2026. Abstract: We study the anomalous FCNC $tq\gamma$ and $tqg$ couplings via $pp\to Wb\gamma+X$ signal process including realistic detector effects for both leptonic and hadronic decay channels of the W boson at 100 TeV FCC-hh. The relevant background are considered in the cut based analysis to obtain not only limits on the anomalous $\lambda$ and $\zeta$ couplings but also branching ratios of $t\to q\gamma$ and $t\to qg$ decay channels. We find that the sensitivity to the branching ratio of $t \to q \gamma$ channel is three order better than the available LHC experimental limits, and it is comparable for the branching ratio of the $t\to qg$ decay channel with an integrated luminosity of 10 ab$^{-1}$ at 2$\sigma$ significance level., Comment: 18 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables, accepted version by Eur. Abstract: The top quark flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) processes are extremely suppressed within the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. However, they could be enhanced in a new physics model Beyond the Standard Model (BSM). The top quark FCNC interactions would be a good test of new physics at present and future colliders. Within the framework of the BSM models, these interactions can be described by an effective Lagrangian. In this work, we study tqgamma and tqZ effective FCNC interaction vertices through the process e-p->e-Wq+X at future electron proton colliders, projected as Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) and Future Circular Collider-hadron electron (FCC-he). The cross sections for the signal have been calculated for different values of parameters lambda_q for tqgamma vertices and kappa_q for $tqZ$ vertices. Taking into account the relevant background we estimate the attainable range of signal parameters as a function of the integrated luminosity and present contour plots of couplings for different significance levels including detector simulation., Comment: 16 pages, 10 figures

Abstract: The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a proposed future high-luminosity linear electron-positron collider operating at three energy stages, with nominal centre-of-mass energies: 380 GeV, 1.5 TeV, and 3 TeV. Its aim is to explore the energy frontier, providing sensitivity to physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) and precision measurements of Standard Model processes with an emphasis on Higgs boson and top-quark physics. The opportunities for top-quark physics at CLIC are discussed in this paper. The initial stage of operation focuses on top-quark pair production measurements, as well as the search for rare flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) top-quark decays. It also includes a top-quark pair production threshold scan around 350 GeV which provides a precise measurement of the top-quark mass in a well-defined theoretical framework. At the higher-energy stages, studies are made of top-quark pairs produced in association with other particles. A study of ttH production including the extraction of the top Yukawa coupling is presented as well as a study of vector boson fusion (VBF) production, which gives direct access to high-energy electroweak interactions. Operation above 1 TeV leads to more highly collimated jet environments where dedicated methods are used to analyse the jet constituents. These techniques enable studies of the top-quark pair production, and hence the sensitivity to BSM physics, to be extended to higher energies. Abstract: The effects of dimension-eight operators giving rise to anomalous neutral triple gauge boson interactions of $Z\gamma\gamma$ and $Z\gamma Z$ vertices in $pp\to l^-l^+\gamma$ and $pp\to \nu\bar \nu \gamma$ are investigated at 100 TeV centre of mass energy of future circular hadron collider (FCC-hh). The transverse momentum of photon, invariant mass of $l^-l^+\gamma$ and angular distribution of charged lepton in the rest frame of $l^-l^+$ and Missing Energy Transverse (MET) are considered in the analysis. The realistic detector effects are also included with Delphes simulation. 39. Constraints on Higgs effective couplings in $H\nu \bar{\nu}$ production of CLIC at 380 GeV

Abstract: The potential of the $e^+e^-\to\nu \bar{\nu} H$ process in the first stage of CLIC considering center of mass energy of 380 GeV and assuming the baseline integrated luminosity of 500 fb$^{-1}$ is examined to probe CP conserving dimension-six operators in a model-independent Standard Model effective field theory framework. In the analysis, a detailed fast simulation on $e^+e^-\to\nu \bar{\nu} H$ signal processes and dominant backgrounds are performed including parton showering with PYTHIA and detector simulation based on ILD type detector with DELPHES in MadGraph. The obtained best limits on the $\bar{c}_{HB} $, $\bar{c}_{W}=- \bar{c}_{B}$ and $\bar{c}_{HW} $ are $[-4.82;1.53]\times10^{-2}$, $[-5.11;4.13]\times10^{-3}$ and $[-6.58;5.55]\times10^{-3}$, respectively., Comment: 13 pages, 6 figures, published version

Abstract: We investigate the anomalous flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) interactions of top quark through the process $e^{-}p\to e^{-}W^{\pm}q+X$. We calculate the signal and background cross sections in electron proton collisions at Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) with a 7 TeV proton beam from the LHC and a new 60 GeV electron beam from energy recovery linac (ERL). We study the relevant background processes including one electron and three jets in the final state. The distributions of the invariant mass of two jets and an additional jet tagged as $b$-jet are used to account signal and background events after the analysis cuts. We find upper bounds on anomalous FCNC couplings $\lambda$ of the order of $10^{-2}$ at LHeC for a luminosity projection of $100$ fb$^{-1}$ together with the fast simulation of detector effects. 41. Top quark FCNC couplings at future circular hadron electron colliders

Abstract: A study of single top quark production via flavor changing neutral current interactions at $tq\gamma$ vertices is performed at future circular hadron electron collider. The signal cross sections for the processes $e^{-}p\to e^{-}W^{\pm}q+X$ and $e^{-}p\to e^{-}W^{\pm}bq+X$ in the collision of electron beam with energy $E_e=$ 60 GeV and proton beam with energy $E_p=$ 50 TeV are calculated. In the analysis, the invariant mass distributions of three jets reconstructing top quark mass, requiring one b-tagged jet and other two jets reconstructing the $W$ mass are used to count signal and background events after all selection cuts. The upper limits on the anomalous flavor changing neutral current $tq\gamma$ couplings are found to be $\lambda_q < $ 0.01 at future circular hadron electron collider for $L_{int}=100$ fb$^{-1}$ with the fast simulation of detector effects. Signal significance depending on the couplings $\lambda_q$ is analyzed and an enhanced sensitivity is found to the branching ratio BR($t\to q\gamma$) at the future circular hadron electron collider when compared to the current experimental results., Comment: 11 pages, 4 Figures, 4 Tables, to appear in Phys. 42. Electron muon identification by atmospheric shower and electron beam in a new concept of an EAS detector

Abstract: We present results demonstrating the time resolution and $\mu$/e separation capabilities with a new concept of an EAS detector capable for measurements of cosmic rays arriving with large zenith angles. This kind of detector has been designed to be a part of a large area (several square kilometers) surface array designed to measure Ultra High Energy (10-200 PeV) $\tau$ neutrinos using the Earth-skimming technique. 43. Q^2 Dependence of the S_{11}(1535) Photocoupling and Evidence for a P-wave resonance in eta electroproduction

Abstract: New cross sections for the reaction $ep \to e'\eta p$ are reported for total center of mass energy $W$=1.5--2.3 GeV and invariant squared momentum transfer $Q^2$=0.13--3.3 GeV$^2$. This large kinematic range allows extraction of new information about response functions, photocouplings, and $\eta N$ coupling strengths of baryon resonances. A sharp structure is seen at $W\sim$ 1.7 GeV. The shape of the differential cross section is indicative of the presence of a $P$-wave resonance that persists to high $Q^2$. Improved values are derived for the photon coupling amplitude for the $S_{11}$(1535) resonance. The new data greatly expands the $Q^2$ range covered and an interpretation of all data with a consistent parameterization is provided., Comment: 31 pages, 9 figures
