5G system is characterized by its capability to support a wide range of use cases and services. Supporting accessibility differentiation becomes therefore essential to preserve a stable network condition during high traffic load, while ensuring connection and service quality to prioritized devices and services. In this article, we describe some use cases and requirements that impact the 3GPP design of the 5G accessibility differentiation framework. We then provide an overview of the supported mechanisms for accessibility differentiation and control in 5G Stand Alone (SA) system, including cell barring and reservation, unified access control, paging control, random access control and admission control. The 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) completed the first global 5th generation (5G) new radio (NR) standard in its Release 15, paving the way for making 5G a commercial reality. So, what is next in NR evolution to further expand the 5G ecosystem? Enabling 5G NR to support satellite communications is one direction under exploration in 3GPP. There has been a resurgence of interest in providing connectivity from space, stimulated by technology advancement and demand for ubiquitous connectivity services. The on-going evolution of 5G standards provides a unique opportunity to revisit satellite communications. In this article, we provide an overview of use cases and a primer on satellite communications. Temperature dependence of intersubband transitions in AlN/GaN multiple quantum wells grown with molecular beam epitaxy is investigated both by absorption studies at different temperatures and modeling of conduction-band electrons. For the absorption study, the sample is heated in increments up to $400^\circ$C. The self-consistent Schr\"odinger-Poisson modeling includes temperature effects of the band-gap and the influence of thermal expansion on the piezoelectric field. We find that the intersubband absorption energy decreases only by $\sim 6$ meV at $400^\circ$C relative to its room temperature value.

We tested the peer-socialization/contextual-amplification explanation for the link between early female puberty and problem behaviour. We propose that in cultures with high tolerance for adolescent heterosexual involvement, early puberty should be linked with problem behaviour--not in other cultures. We compared girls in two cultures (Slovakia and Sweden) that differ in acceptance of adolescent girls' heterosexual involvement. Findings supported the hypothesis by showing that in Sweden, a culture that facilitates adolescent heterosexual involvement, early-maturing girls reported more problem behaviours than in Slovakia. The mediation link (heterosexual involvement as the mechanism linking early puberty with problem behaviour) was moderated by culture. The findings expand our understanding of the role of macro-cultural contexts in the developmental significance of female puberty. (Contains 3 tables and 3 figures.)

Explores the kinds of strategies adolescents deploy in achievement context in an unselected sample of Swedish adolescents. Six groups of adolescents were identified according to the strategies they deployed. Results showed that membership in the functional strategy groups, such as in mastery-oriented and defensive pessimist groups, was associated with well-being, school adjustment and achievement, and low levels of norm-breaking behavior. Investigates the extents to which adolescents' achievement strategies are associated with the parenting styles they experience in their families. Respondents (N=354) identified four types of families: those with Authoritative; Authoritarian; Permissive; and Neglectful parenting styles. Results further reveal that adolescents from authoritative families applied most adaptive achievement strategies, while neglectful families resulted in maladaptive achievement strategies. Study assesses 703 adolescents and their parents concerning adolescent involvement in community-based leisure activities, peer and adult social relations, and antisocial behavior. Results reveal that participation in highly structured leisure activities was linked to low levels of antisocial behavior, while participation in activities with low structure was associated with high levels of antisocial behavior. Differences between girls who left home early and at a normative age were examined across several domains of behavior and family relationship constructs. Found that those who leave home early, compared to those leaving later, were more likely to have evidenced childhood problem behaviors and discordant family relations in childhood and adjustment problems in adolescence.
