The $CP$ violation (CPV) in the baryon system has not yet been definitively established. We demonstrate that individual partial-wave CPV in the $\Lambda_b\to p\pi^-,pK^-$ decays can exceed $10\%$, but the destruction between different partial waves results in small net direct CPV as observed in current experiments. There is thus high possibility of identifying CPV in $b$-baryon decays through measurements of partial-wave CPV. The above observation is supported by the first full QCD calculation of two-body hadronic $\Lambda_b$ baryon decays with controllable uncertainties in the perturbative QCD formalism., Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures,4 tables

The scalars $f_0$ closest to 1.5 GeV contain the mesons $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1500)$ and $f_0(1710)$, and the latter two ones are usually viewed as the potential candidates for the scalar glueballs. In this work, by including the important contributions from the vertex corrections, we study the decays $B^0 \to J/\psi f_0$ within the improved perturbative QCD approach and analyze the possible scalar glueball hunting. Together with the two mixing models, namely, $f_0(1500) (f_0(1710))$ being the primary scalar glueball in model I (II), and two classification scenarios, namely, $f_0$ being the $q\bar q$ excited (ground) states in scenario 1 (2), the branching fractions associated with their ratios for $B^0 \to J/\psi f_0$ are evaluated comprehensively. The predictions with still large uncertainties in the considered two mixing models are roughly consistent with currently limited data, which indicates that both more rich data and more precise predictions are urgently demanded to figure out the scalar glueball clearly in the future. Moreover, several interesting ratios between the branching fractions of $B^0 \to J/\psi f_0(\to \pi^+ \pi^-/K^+ K^-)$ and $B^0 \to J/\psi \rho^0/\phi (\to \pi^+ \pi^-/ K^+ K^-)$ that could help us to understand the nature of scalar $f_0$ are defined and predicted theoretically. Within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework, we complete the three-loop calculations of the NRQCD renormalization constants and the matching coefficients, for the heavy flavor-changing temporal vector, spatial-spatial tensor, spatial-temporal axial-tensor currents, which are coupled to the $P$-wave $c\bar b$ mesons. We further study the ten decay constants for the $c\bar b$ mesons ($B_c,B_c^*,B_{c0}^*,B_{c1}$) coupled with the ten heavy flavor-changing currents involving (pseudo-)scalar, (axial-)vector and (axial-)tensor up to the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO) of $\alpha_s$. We obtain the six ratios of decay constants by approximating them to the corresponding ratios of matching coefficients. We find the N$^3$LO QCD corrections to the six ratios of decay constants have good convergence and weak scale-dependence. We finally predict the hierarchical relationship among the ten decay constants for the $c\bar b$ mesons coupled with the ten currents.

We present the three-loop calculations of the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) current renormalization constants and corresponding anomalous dimensions, and the matching coefficients for the spatial-temporal tensor and spatial-spatial axial-tensor currents with two different heavy quark masses. We obtain the convergent decay constant ratio up to the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO) for the $S$-wave vector meson $B_c^*$ involving the tensor and axial-tensor currents. We obtain the three-loop finite ($\epsilon^0$) term in the ratio of the QCD heavy flavor-changing tensor current renormalization constant in the on-shell ($\mathrm{OS}$) scheme to that in the modified-minimal-subtraction ($\mathrm{\overline{MS}}$) scheme, which is helpful to obtain the three-loop matching coefficients for all heavy flavor-changing (axial-)tensor currents.

Within the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, we compute the matching coefficients between full Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and NRQCD for the heavy flavor-changing vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar currents up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO). We accomplish the analytical expressions for the three-loop renormalization constants and the corresponding anomalous dimensions for all of the four NRQCD currents with two different heavy flavors. The three-loop QCD corrections to the matching coefficients turn out to be significantly larger than lower order corrections. By employing the scale relation, we obtain the N$^3$LO corrections to the wave functions at the origin for the vector $B_c^*$ meson and the pseudo-scalar $B_c$ meson from the known result for the equal-mass heavy quarkonium in potential NRQCD (pNRQCD). We find large cancellations at the third order between the matching coefficients and the wave functions at the origin, and obtain the convergent decay constants of $B^*_{c}$ and $B_{c}$ up to N$^3$LO. We show the three-loop calculation of the matching coefficients $\mathcal{C}_J$ for the four heavy flavor-changing currents in nonrelativistic Quantum Chromodynamics effective theory and confirm the surprising observation of the nonconvergence behaviors of the matching coefficients for beauty-charm mesons. We demonstrate that the higher-order correction to the wave function at origin can solve the nonconvergence problem. By employing the scaling relation, we simultaneously obtain the decay constants for beauty-charm mesons up to the three-loop accuracy and the hyperfine mass splitting in agreement with the experimental data. Within the framework of perturbative QCD factorization, we investigate the nonfactorizable contributions to these factorization-forbidden Quasi-two-body decays $B_{(s)}\rightarrow h\chi_{c0}\rightarrow h\pi^+\pi^-(K^+K^-)$ with $ h=\pi, K$. We compare our predicted branching ratios for the $B_{(s)}\rightarrow K\chi_{c0}\rightarrow K\pi^+\pi^-(K^+K^-)$ decay with available experiment data as well as predictions by other theoretical studies. The branching ratios of these decays are consistent with data and other theoretical predictions. In the Cabibbo-suppressed decays $B_{(s)}\rightarrow h\chi_{c0}\rightarrow h\pi^+\pi^-(K^+K^-)$ with $h=\bar{K}^0,\pi$, however, the values of the branching ratios are the order of $10^{-7}$ and $10^{-8}$. The ratio $R_{\chi_{c0}}$ between the decay $B^+\rightarrow \pi^+\chi_{c0}\rightarrow \pi^+\pi^+\pi^-$ and $B^+\rightarrow K^+\chi_{c0}\rightarrow K^+\pi^+\pi^-$ and the distribution of branching ratios for different decay modes in invariant mass are considered in this work., Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures, accepted for publication in Chin. We compute the matching coefficient between the quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and the non-relativistic QCD ( NRQCD) for the flavor-changing scalar current involving the heavy charm and bottom quark, up to the three-loop order within the NRQCD factorization. For the first time, we obtain the analytical expressions for the three-loop renormalization constant $\tilde{Z}_s(x,R_f)$ and the corresponding anomalous dimension $\tilde{\gamma}_s(x,R_f)$ for the NRQCD scalar current with the two heavy bottom and charm quark. We present the precise numerical results for those relevant coefficients $(C_{FF}(x_0), \cdots, C_{FBB}(x_0))$ with an accuracy of about thirty digits. The three-loop QCD correction turns out to be significantly large. We present the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections to the decay constants for both the pseudoscalar and vector beauty-charmed mesons $B_{c}$ and $B^*_{c}$ in nonrelativistic QCD effective theory. Explicit NNLO calculation verified that the $B_c$ decay constant from pseudoscalar current is identical with the $B_c$ decay constant from axial-vector current. The NNLO result for the vector decay constant of $B^*_{c}$ meson is novel. Combined with the latest extraction of nonrelativistic QCD long-distance matrix elements of $B_c$ meson, we give the branching ratios of leptonic decays of $B_{c}$ and $B^*_{c}$ mesons. The perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach based on $k_T$ factorization has made a great achievement for the QCD calculation of the hadronic B decays. Regulating the endpoint divergence by the transverse momentum of quarks in the propagators, one can do the perturbation calculation for kinds of diagrams including the annihilation type diagrams. In this paper, we review the current status of PQCD factorization calculation of two-body charmless $B\to PP, PV, VV$ decays up to the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections. two new power suppressed terms in decaying amplitudes are also taken into account. By using the universal input (non-perturbative) parameters, we collected the branching ratios and ${\bf CP}$ asymmetry parameters for all the charmless two body $B$ decays, calculated in the PQCD approach up to the NLO, including some power suppressed terms in decaying amplitudes. The results are compared with the ones from QCD factorization approach, soft-collinear effective theory approach and the current experimental measurements. For most considered B meson decays, the PQCD results for branching ratios agree well with other approaches and the experimental data. The PQCD predictions for the ${\bf CP}$ asymmetry parameters for many of the decay channels do not agree with other approaches, but have a better agreement with the experimental data. The longstanding $K \pi $ puzzle about the pattern of the direct CP asymmetries of the penguin-dominated $B \to K \pi $ decays can be understood after the inclusion of the NLO contributions in PQCD. The NLO corrections and power suppressed terms play an important role in the color suppressed and pure annihilation type $B$ decay modes. These rare decays are more sensitive to different types of corrections, providing opportunity to examine the factorization approach with the more precise experimental measurements., Comment: 52 pages, 4 figures, 11 tables

We present a next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to $B_c\to \eta_c$ and $B_c\to J/\psi$ tensor form factors within nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework. The full analytical results for $B_c$ to S-wave charmonium tensor form factors are obtained. We also studied the asymptotic behaviours of tensor form factors in hierarchy heavy quark limit, i.e. $m_b\to\infty,~ m_c\to\infty, ~\mathrm{and }~m_c/m_b\to0$. A compact expression for tensor form factors are given analytically in the hierarchy heavy quark limit. The relation among different form factors is also analyzed especially at large momentum recoil point. In this work, we make a detailed analysis on the penguin-dominant processes $B_{(s)}^0 \to \phi\phi \to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. In addition to the dominant $P$-wave resonance, the scalar background $f_0(980) \to K^+K^-$ is also accounted for. We improve the Gegenbauer moments in $KK$ two-meson distribution amplitudes by fitting the PQCD factorization formulas to measured branching ratios of three-body and four-body $B$ decays. We extract the branching ratios of two-body $B_{(s)}^0 \to \phi\phi$ decays from the corresponding four-body decay modes and calculate the relevant polarization fractions together with two relative phases $\phi_{\parallel,\perp}$, which are consistent with the previous theoretical predictions. The PQCD predictions for the "true" triple product asymmetries (TPAs) are zero which are expected in the standard model due to the vanishing weak phase difference, and support the current data reported by the CDF and LHCb Collaborations. A large "fake" TPA $\mathcal{A}_\text{T-fake}^1=30.4\%$ of the decay $B^0_s \to \phi\phi \to (K^+K^-)(K^+K^-)$ is predicted for the first time, which indicates the presence of the significant final-state interactions. The axial-vector mesons $f_1(1285)$ and $f_1(1420)$ are particularly viewed as the mixtures of flavor states $f_n$ and $f_s$ with mixing angle $\varphi$. In order to determine this angle, we study the $B_{d,s}^0\to J/\psi f_1(1285,1420)$ and $B_{d,s}^0\to \eta_c f_1(1285,1420)$ decays in perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach, including the effects of vertex corrections, nonfactorizable diagrams and penguin operators. Not only the branching fractions, but also the direct $CP$ asymmetries and the polarization fractions are calculated. It is found that the branching fractions of these decays are large enough to be measured in the running LHCb and Belle-II experiments. Moreover, in comparison with the observed ${\cal B}(B_{d,s}^0 \to J/\psi f_1(1285))$, $B_s^0 \to (J/\psi, \eta_c) f_1(1420)$ decays have large branching fractions, which could be measured promisingly through $f_1(1420) \to K_S^0 K^\pm \pi^\mp$ in experiments. We also propose several ratios that could be used to further constrain the absolute value of the mixing angle $\varphi$, but its sign cannot be determined yet in these decays. The direct CP asymmetries of these decays indicate the penguin pollution in the $B_d^0 \to (J/\psi, \eta_c) f_1$ decays cannot be neglected. We acknowledge that there are large theoretical uncertainties arising from the distribution amplitudes of axial-vector mesons and charmonium states, and more precise nonperturbative parameters are called. We reanalyze the $\Lambda_b\to p$ transition form factors in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach by including higher-twist light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of a $\Lambda_b$ baryon and a proton. The previous PQCD evaluation performed decades ago with only the leading-twist $\Lambda_b$ baryon and proton LCDAs gave the form factors, which are two orders of magnitude smaller than indicated by experimental data. We find that the twist-4 $\Lambda_b$ baryon LCDAs and the twist-4 and -5 proton LCDAs contribute dominantly, and the enhanced form factors become consistent with those from lattice QCD and other nonperturbative methods. The estimated branching ratios of the semileptonic decays $\Lambda_b\to p\ell\bar{\nu}_\ell$ and the hadronic decay $\Lambda_b\to p\pi$ are also close to the data. It implies that the $b$ quark mass is not really heavy enough, and higher-power contributions play a crucial role, similar to the observation made in analyses of $B$ meson transition form factors. In this work, we provide estimates of the branching ratios, direct $CP$ asymmetries and triple product asymmetries in $B_{(s)} \to (\pi\pi)(K\pi)$ decays in the perturbative QCD approach, where the $\pi\pi$ and $K\pi$ invariant mass spectra are dominated by the vector resonances $\rho(770)$ and $K^*(892)$, respectively. Some scalar backgrounds, such as $f_0(500,980) \to \pi\pi$ and $K^*_0(1430) \to K\pi$ are also accounted for. The $\rho(700)$ is parametrized by the Gounaris-Sakurai function. The relativistic Breit-Wigner formula for the $f_0(500)$ and Flatt\'e model for the $f_0(980)$ are adopted to parameterize the time-like scalar form factors $F_S(\omega^2)$. We also use the D.V. Bugg model to parameterize the $f_0(500)$ and compare the relevant theoretical predictions from different models. While in the region of $K\pi$ invariant mass, the $K^*_0(1430)$ is described with the LASS lineshape and the $K^*(892)$ is modeled by the Breit-Wigner function. We find that the decay rates for the considered decay modes agree with currently available data within errors. As a by-product, we extract the branching ratios of two-body decays $B_{(s)} \to \rho(770)K^*(892)$ from the corresponding four-body decay modes and calculate the relevant polarization fractions. Our prediction of longitudinal polarization fraction for $B^0\to \rho(770)^0 K^*(892)^0$ decay deviates a lot from the recent LHCb measurement, which should be resolved. It is shown that the direct $CP$ asymmetries are large due to the sizable interference between the tree and penguin contributions, but they are small for the tree-dominant or penguin-dominant processes. The PQCD predictions for the triple product asymmetries are small which are expected in the standard model, and consistent with the current data reported by the LHCb Collaboration.Our results can be tested by the future precise data from the LHCb and Belle II experiments., Comment: 29 pages, 2 figures

After the discovery of the double-charm baryon $\Xi_{cc}^{++}$ by LHCb, one of the most important topics is to search for the bottom-charm baryons which contain a $b$ quark, a $c$ quark and a light quark. In this work, we study the two-body non-leptonic weak decays of a bottom-charm baryon into a spin-$1/2$ bottomed baryon and a light pseudoscalar meson with the short-distance contributions calculated under the factorization hypothesis and the long-distance contributions considering the final-state-interaction effects. The branching fractions of all fifty-seven decay channels are estimated. The results indicate that $\Xi_{bc}^+\to\Xi_b^0\pi^+$, $\Xi_{bc}^{0}\to\Xi_{b}^{-}\pi^+$ and $\Omega_{bc}^0\to\Omega_b^-\pi^+$ decay modes have relatively large decay rates and thus could be used to experimentally search for the bottom-charm baryons. The doubly charmed baryon $\Xi_{cc}^{++}$ was recently observed by LHCb via the decay processes of $\Xi_{cc}^{++}\to \Lambda_c^+ K^-\pi^+\pi^+$ and $\Xi_c^+\pi^+$. These discovery channels were successfully predicted in the framework that the short-distance contributions are calculated under the factorization hypothesis and the long-distance contributions are estimated using the rescattering mechanism for the final-state-interaction effects. In this paper, we illustrate the above framework in details by systematic studies on the two-body baryonic decays $\mathcal{B}_{cc}\to\mathcal{B}_{c}P$ involving the doubly charmed baryons $\mathcal{B}_{cc}=(\Xi_{cc}^{++} , \Xi_{cc}^+,\Omega_{cc}^+)$, the singly charmed baryons $\mathcal{B}_{c}=(\mathcal{B}_{\bar{3}}, \mathcal{B}_{6})$ and the light pseudoscalar mesons $P=(\pi,K,\eta_{1,8})$., Comment: 31 pages, 4 figures, 9 tables. In this paper, we studied systematically the semileptonic decays $B_s \to \phi l^+ l^-$ with $l^-=(e^-,\mu^-,\tau^-)$ by using the perturbative QCD (PQCD) and the "PQCD+Lattice" factorization approach, respectively. We first evaluated all relevant form factors $F_i(q^2)$ in the low $q^2$ region using the PQCD approach, and we also took the available lattice QCD results at the high-$q^2$ region as additional input to improve the extrapolation of $F_i(q^2)$ from the low-$q^2$ region to the endpoint $q^2_{max}$. We then calculated the branching ratios and many other physical observables: $A_{FB}^{l}$, $F_L^{\phi}$, $S_{3,4,7}$, $A_{5,6,8,9}$ and the clean angular observables $P_{1,2,3} $ and $P^{\prime}_{4,5,6,8}$.From our studies, we find the following points: (a) the PQCD and "PQCD+Lattice" predictions of ${\cal B}( B_s \to \phi \mu^+ \mu^-)$ are about $7\times 10^{-7}$, which agree well with the LHCb measured values and the QCD sum rule prediction within still large errors; (b) we defined and calculated the ratios of the branching ratios $R_\phi^{e\mu}$ and $R_\phi^{\mu\tau}$; (c) the PQCD and "PQCD+Lattice" predictions of the longitudinal polarization $F_L$, the CP averaged angular coefficients $S_{3,4,7} $ and the CP asymmetry angular coefficients $A_{5,6,8,9}$, agree with the LHCb measurements in all considered bins within the still large experimental errors; and (d) for those currently still unknown observables $R_\phi^{e\mu}, R_\phi^{\mu\tau}, A_{FB}^{l}, P_{1,2,3}$ and $P^{\prime}_{4,5,6,8}$, we suggest LHCb and Belle-II Collaboration to measure them in their experiments., Comment: 32 pages, 4 figures and 12 tables. In this short review we elaborate the significance of resummation in $k_T$ factorization theorem, and summarize the recent progresses in the calculations of the next-to-leading order contributions to B meson decays from the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. We also comment on the current status of the PQCD approach and highlight some key issues to develop it in the near future for more phenomenological applications., Comment: Typos corrected. We investigate the $B_{d,s}^0 \to f_1 f_1$ decays in the framework of perturbative QCD(PQCD) approach with a referenced value $\phi_{f_1} \sim 24^\circ$. Here, $f_1$ denotes the axial-vector mesons $f_1(1285)$ and $f_1(1420)$ with mixing angle $\phi_{f_1}$ in the quark-flavor basis. The observables such as branching ratios, direct CP violations, and polarization fractions of the $B_s^0 \to f_1 f_1$ decays are predicted for the first time. We find that: (i) the almost pure penguin modes $B_s^0 \to f_1 f_1$ have large branching ratios in the order of $10^{-6} \sim 10^{-5}$ due to the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa enhancement and generally constructive interferences between the amplitudes of $B_s^0 \to f_n f_s$ and $B_s^0 \to f_s f_s$ with $f_n$ and $f_s$ being the quark-flavor states of $f_1$ mesons; (ii) The observables receive important contributions from the weak annihilation diagrams in the PQCD approach. In particular, without the annihilation contributions, the $B_s^0 \to f_1(1420) f_1(1420)$ branching ratio will decrease about 81% and its longitudinal polarization fraction will reduce around 43%. And (iii) the dependence of the $B_{d,s}^0 \to f_1 f_1$ decay rates on $\phi_{f_1}$ exhibits some interesting line shapes, whose confirmations would be helpful to constrain the determination of $\phi_{f_1}$ inversely. In this work, we study the $S$, $P$ and $D$ wave resonance contributions to three-body decays $B_{(s)} \to [ D^{(*)}, \bar{D}^{(*)} ] K^+K^-$ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach, where the kaon-kaon invariant mass spectra are dominated by the $f_0(980),f_0(1370),$ $\phi(1020),\phi(1680),f_2(1270),f^{\prime}_2(1525),f_2(1750)$ and $f_2(1950)$ resonances. The $KK$ $S$-wave component $f_0(980)$ is modeled with the Flatt\'e formalism, while other resonances are described by the relativistic Breit-Wigner (BW) line shape. The corresponding decay channels are studied by constructing the kaon-kaon distribution amplitude $\Phi_{KK}$, which captures important final state interactions between the kaon pair in the resonant region. We found that the PQCD predictions for the branching ratios for most considered decays agree with currently available data within errors. The associated polarization fractions of those vector-vector and vector-tensor decay modes are also predicted, which are expected to be tested in the near future experiments. The invariant mass spectra for the corresponding resonances in the $B_{(s)} \to [D^{(*)}, \bar{D}^{(*)} ] K^+K^-$ decays are well established, which can be confronted with the precise data from the LHCb and Belle II experiments., Comment: 37pages,3 figures; added references and slightly updated

We derive the $k_T$ resummation for a transverse-momentum-dependent charmonium wave function, which involves the bottom quark mass $m_b$, the charm quark mass $m_c$, and the charm quark transverse momentum $k_T$, up to the next-to-leading-logarithm (NLL) accuracy under the hierarchy $m_b\gg m_c \gg k_T$. The resultant Sudakov factor is employed in the perutrbative QCD (PQCD) approach to the $B_c\to J/\psi$ transition form factor $A_0^{B_c \to J/\psi}(0)$ and the $B_c^+ \to J/\psi \pi^+$ decay. We compare the NLL resummation effect on these processes with the leading-logarithm one in the literature, and find a $(5-10)\%$ enhancement to the form factor $A_0^{B_c \to J/\psi}(0)$ and a $(10-20)\%$ enhancement to the decay rate ${\rm BR}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \pi^+)$. In this paper, we studied systematically the semileptonic decays $\bar{B}_s \to K^{(*)} \ell^+ \ell^-$ with $l^-=(e^-,\mu^-,\tau^-)$ by using the perturbative QCD (PQCD) and the "PQCD+Lattice" factorization approach, respectively. We first evaluated all relevant form factors $F_i(q^2)$ in the low $q^2$ region using the PQCD approach, and we also take the available Lattice QCD results at the end point $q^2_{max}$ as additional inputs to improve the extrapolation of the form factors to the high $q^2$ region. We calculated the branching ratios and other twelve kinds of physical observables. From our studies, we find the following points: (a) for $ \bar{B}_s \to K l^+ l^-$ decays, the PQCD and "PQCD+Lattice" predictions for branching ratios (BRs) ${\cal B}(\bar{B}_s \to K l^+ l^-)$, the ratios of the BRs $R_K^{e\mu}$ and $R_K^{\mu\tau }$, and the longitudinal polarization asymmetry of the leptons $P_L$ agree well within errors; (b) the PQCD and "PQCD+Lattice" predictions for the CP averaged branching ratio ${\cal B}(\bar{B}_s \to K^* \mu^+ \mu^-)$ are $(3.17^{+0.95}_{-0.78})\times 10^{-8}$ and $(2.48^{+0.56}_{-0.50})\times 10^{-8}$ respectively, which agree well with the LHCb measured value $(2.9\pm 1.1) \times 10^{-8}$ and the light-cone sum rule (LCSR) prediction; (c) for the ratios $R_{K^\ast}^{e\mu }$ and $R_{K^\ast}^{\mu \tau}$, the PQCD and "PQCD+Lattice" predictions agree well with each other and have a small error less than $10\%$; (d) for the direct CP asymmetries ${\cal A}_{CP}$ of all considered decay modes, they are always very small as expected: less than $5\%$ in magnitude; and (e) for the angular observables $P_{1,2,3}$ and $P^\prime_{4,5,6,8}$ , our theoretical predictions for each kind of lepton are consistent within errors. In this paper, we studied the semileptonic $B/B_s \to (D^{(*)},D_s^{(*)}) l\nu_l$ decays in the framework of the standard model (SM) , by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization formalism combining with the lattice QCD inputs of the relevant transition form factors. We calculated the branching ratios ${\cal B}(B_{(s)} \to D_{(s)}^{(*)} l \nu_l )$ with $l=(e,\mu.\tau)$ , the ratios of the branching ratios $R(D^{(*)})$ and $R(D_s^{(*)} )$ and other physical observables $P_\tau(D_{(s)}^{(*)})$, $F_L(D^*_{(s)})$ and $A_{FB}(\tau)$. The "PQCD+Lattice" predictions for ${\cal B}(B \to D^{(*)} l\nu_l)$ and $R(D^{(*)})$ do agree well with those currently available experimental measurements within the errors. For the ratios $R(D_s)$ and $R(D_s^*)$, the "PQCD+Lattice" predictions agree well with other known predictions. For both $P_\tau(D^*)$ and $F_L(D^*)$, our theoretical predictions agree well with the measured values within errors. In this work, we analyze the three-body $B_{(s)} \to \eta_c(1S,2S) K \pi$ decays within the framework of the perturbative QCD approach (PQCD) under the quasi-two-body approximation, where the kaon-pion invariant mass spectra are dominated by the $K_0^*(1430)^0,K_0^*(1950)^0,K^*(892)^0,K^*(1410)^0,K^*(1680)^0$ and $K_2^*(1430)^0$ resonances. The time-like form factors are adopted to parametrize the corresponding $S$, $P$, $D$-wave kaon-pion distribution amplitudes for the concerned decay modes, which describe the final-state interactions between the kaon and pion in the resonant region. The $K\pi$ $S$-wave component at low $K\pi$ mass is described by the LASS line shape, while the time-like form factors of other resonances are modeled by the relativistic Breit-Wigner function. We find the following main points: (a) the PQCD predictions of the branching ratios for most considered $B \to \eta_c(1S)(K^{*0}\to )K^+\pi^-$ decays agree well with the currently available data within errors; (b) for ${\cal B}(B^0 \to \eta_c (K_0^*(1430)\to )K^+\pi^-)$ and ${\cal B}(B^0 \to \eta_c K^+\pi^-({\rm NR}))$ (here NR means nonresonant), our predictions of the branching ratios are a bit smaller than the measured ones; and (c) the PQCD results for the $D$-wave contributions considered in this work can be tested once the precise data from the future LHCb and Belle-II experiments are available., Comment: 18 pages, 3 figures

By employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, we studied the sixteen $B/B_s \to \eta_c (\pi, K, \eta^{(\prime)},\rho,K^*,\omega,\phi)$ decays with the inclusion of the currently known next-to-leading order (NLO) contributions. In this work, we studied the quasi-two-body decays $B_{(s)} \to \psi [K^*(892), K^*(1410),$ $K^*(1680)] \to \psi K\pi$ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, where the charmonia $\psi$ represents $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$. The corresponding decay channels are studied by constructing the kaon-pion distribution amplitude (DA) $\Phi_{K \pi}^{\rm P}$, which contained the important final state interactions between the kaon and pion in the resonant region. The relativistic Breit-Wigner formulas are adopted to parameterize the time-like form factor $F_{K\pi}$ appeared in the kaon-pion DAs. The SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking effect resulting from the mass difference between kaon and pion is taken into account, which makes significant contributions to the longitudinal polarizations. We accommodate well the observed branching ratios and the polarization fractions of the $B_{(s)} \to \psi K^*(892) \to \psi K\pi$ by tuning the hadronic parameters for the kaon-pion DAs. The PQCD predictions for the $B_{(s)} \to \psi [K^*(1410), K^*(1680)] \to \psi K\pi$ modes from the same set of parameters can be tested by the future precise data from the LHCb and the Belle II experiments., Comment: 18 pages, 3 figures, Final version to be published in Chinese Physics C

Encouraged by the global agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental measurements for $B \to J/\psi V$ decays, we extend that perturbative QCD formalism to $B_{d,s}^0 \to J/\psi f_0(500) [f_0(980)]$ decays at the presently known next-to-leading order in the quark-antiquark description of $f_0(500)$ and $f_0(980)$. With the angle $\phi_f \approx 25^\circ$ of the $f_0(500)-f_0(980)$ mixing in the quark-flavor basis, we find that the branching ratios of the $B_d^0 \to J/\psi f_0(500) (\to \pi^+ \pi^-)$ and $B_{d,s}^0 \to J/\psi f_0(980) (\to \pi^+ \pi^-)$ modes generally agree with the current data or the upper limits within uncertainties, except for the seemingly challenging $B_s^0 \to J/\psi f_0(500) (\to \pi^+\pi^-)$ one. Then, we further explore the relevant observables of the $B_{d,s}^0 \to J/\psi f_0(500) [f_0(980)]$ decays, which could provide further constraints on the mixing angle $\phi_f$ and/or SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking effects. As a byproduct, we predict ${\rm BR}(B_{d}^0 \to J/\psi f_0(980)(\to K^+ K^-))=5.8^{+3.1}_{-2.9} \times 10^{-7}$ and ${\rm BR}(B_{s}^0 \to J/\psi f_0(980)(\to K^+ K^-)) =4.6^{+2.6}_{-2.3} \times 10^{-5}$. By employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, we made a systematic investigation for the CP-averaged branching ratios and the CP-violating asymmetries of the thirteen $\bar{B}^0_s \to PP $ decays ( here $P=(\pi,K, \eta, \eta^{\prime})$) with the inclusion of all currently known next-to-leading order (NLO) contributions, and compared our results with the measured values or the theoretical predictions from other different approaches. We focused on the examination of the effects of the NLO contributions and found the following points: (a) for $\bar{B}_s^0 \to (K^0 \bar{K}^0, K^+ K^-, \eta^\prime \eta^\prime,\pi^- K^+)$ decays, the NLO contributions can provide a $(40-150) \%$ enhancement or a $20\%$ reduction to the corresponding leading order (LO) PQCD predictions for their decay rates and result in a much better agreement between the PQCD predictions and the experimental measurements; (b) for the pure annihilation decay $\bar{B}_s^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-$, the PQCD prediction still remain consistent with the data after the inclusion of the small NLO reduction; (c) the PQCD predictions for the ratio $(f_s/f_d)\cdot {\cal B}(B_s^0\to \pi^+\pi^-)/{\cal B}(B^0\to K^+\pi^-)$ and $(f_s/f_d)\cdot {\cal B}(B_s^0\to \pi^+ K^-)/{\cal B}(B^0\to K^+\pi^-)$ become agree very well with the measured ones after the inclusion of a $40\%$ NLO reduction; (d) for $\bar{B}_s^0 \to K^+ K^-$ and $\bar{B}_s^0 \to \pi^- K^+$ decays, the NLO PQCD predictions for their CP-violating asymmetries do agree very well with the measured values in both the sign and the magnitude; and (e) for all $\bar{B}_s^0 \to P P$ decays, we also compared our results with those obtained in the QCD factorization approach and soft-collinear effective theory and discussed their similarities and differences., Comment: 19 pages, 2 figures and 6 tables. In this paper, we studied the semileptonic decays $B_c^- \to (\eta_c, J/\psi) l ^- \bar{\nu}_l$ by employing the PQCD factorization approach, using the newly defined distribution amplitudes of the $B_c$ meson and the new kind of parametrization for extrapolation of the form factors , and also taking into account the lattice QCD results about the relevant form factors at several points. We found the following main results: (a) the PQCD predictions for the branching ratios of $B_c \to (\eta_c,J/\psi) l \bar{\nu}$ decays will become a little smaller by about $(5-16)\%$ when the lattice input are taken into account in the extrapolation of the relevant form factors; (b) the PQCD predictions for the ratio $R_{\eta_c, J/\psi}$ and the longitudinal polarization $P_{\tau}$ are $R_{\eta_c}=0.34\pm 0.01 , R_{J/\psi}=0.28\pm 0.01$, $P_{\tau}(\eta_c) = 0.37\pm 0.01$ and $P_{\tau}(J/\psi) = -0.55 \pm 0.01$ ; and (c) after the inclusion of the lattice input the theoretical predictions changed slightly: $R_{\eta_c}=0.31\pm 0.01$, $ R_{ J/\psi}=0.27\pm 0.01$, $P_{\tau}( \eta_c) = 0.36 \pm 0.01$ and $P_{\tau}( J/\psi) = -0.53\pm 0.01$. We propose a new pattern-matching algorithm for matching CCD images to a stellar catalogue based statistical method in this paper. The method of constructing star pairs can greatly reduce the computational complexity compared with the triangle method. We use a subsample of the brightest objects from the image and reference catalogue, and then find a coordinate transformation between the image and reference catalogue based on the statistical information of star pairs. Then all the objects are matched based on the initial plate solution. We study the quasi-two-body decays $B\to D K^*(892) \to D K\pi$ by employing the perturbative QCD approach. The two-meson distribution amplitudes $\Phi_{K\pi}^{\text{$P$-wave}}$ are adopted to describe the final state interactions of the kaon-pion pair in the resonance region. The resonance line shape for the $P$-wave $K\pi$ component $K^*(892)$ in the time-like form factor $F_{K\pi}(s)$ is parameterized by the relativistic Breit-Wigner function. For most considered decay modes, the theoretical predictions for their branching ratios are consistent with currently available experimental measurements within errors. We also disscuss some ratios of the branching fractions of the concerned decay processes. In this paper we calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) corrections to $\rho$-meson electromagnetic form factors by employing the $k_T$ factorization approach. We find that the NLO correction to $F_i (Q^2)(i=LT,TL)$ is around $30\%$ of the leading-order (LO) contributionin the region $Q^2>2GeV^2$. The NLO correction to $F_{LL}(Q^2)$ is close to $20\%$ of the LO one in the region $Q^2>3GeV^2$. The NLO radiative corrections to the electric, magnetic, and quadruple form factors $F_j(Q^2) (j=1,2,3)$ are sizeable in magnitude and agree with those from other approaches.

In this paper, we investigate the factorization hypothesis step by step for the exclusive process $B \to \rho$ at next-to-leading order (NLO) with the collinear factorization approach, and then we extend our results to the $k_T$ factorization frame. We show that the soft divergence from the specific NLO diagrams will cancel each other at the quark level, while the remaining collinear divergence can be absorbed into the NLO wave functions. The full NLO amplitudes can be factorized into two parts: the NLO $B$ and $\rho$ meson wave functions containing the collinear divergence and the leading order (LO) finite hard kernels. We give the general form of the nonlocal hadron matrix for the NLO $B$ and $\rho$ meson wave functions and all results of factorization for different twists' combinations., Comment: 22 pages, 7 figures

We extend our recent works on the $P$-wave two-pion resonant contributions to the kaon-pion cases in the hadronic charmless $B$ meson decays by employing the perturbative QCD approach. The concerned decay modes are analysed in the quasi-two-body framework by parameterizing the kaon-pion distribution amplitude $\Phi_{K \pi}^{\rm P}$, which contains the final state interactions between the kaon and pion in the resonant region. The relativistic Breit-Wigner formula for the $P$-wave resonant state $K^*(892)$ is adopted to parameterize the time-like form factor $F_{K\pi}$. We calculate the $CP$-averaged branching ratios and direct $CP$-violating asymmetries of the quasi-two-body decays $B_{(s)}\to K^*(892) h\to K\pi h$, with $h=(\pi, K)$, in this work. It is shown that the agreement of theoretical results with the experimental data can be achieved, through which Gegenbauer moments of the $P$-wave kaon-pion distribution amplitudes are determined. In this work, we calculate the $CP$-averaged branching ratios and direct $CP$-violating asymmetries of the quasi-two-body decays $B_{(s)}\to P f_2(1270)\to P\pi\pi$ with the two-pion distribution amplitude $\Phi_{\pi\pi}^{\rm D}$ by using the perturbative QCD factorization approach, where $P$ represents a light pseudoscalar meson $K, \pi, \eta$ and $\eta^{\prime}$. The relativistic Breit-Wigner formula for the $D$-wave resonance $f_2(1270)$ is adopted to parameterize the timelike form factor $F_{\pi}$, which contains the final state interactions between the pions in the resonant regions. The consistency of theoretical results with data can be achieved by determining the Gegenbauer moments of the $D$-wave two-pion distribution amplitudes. The decay rates for the considered decay modes are generally in the order of $10^{-9}$ to $ 10^{-6}$. The integrated direct $CP$ asymmetries for the charged modes agree with the {\it BABAR} and Belle measurements. As a by-product, we extract the branching ratios of $B_{(s)}\to Pf_2(1270)$ from the corresponding quasi-two-body decay modes, which still need experimental tests at the ongoing and forthcoming experiments., Comment: 15 pages,3 figures

By employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, we calculated the branching ratios, CP-violating asymmetries, the longitudinal and transverse polarization fractions and other physical observables of the thirteen charmless hadronic $\bar{B}^0_s \to V V $ decays with the inclusion of all currently known next-to-leading order (NLO) contributions. We focused on the examination of the effects of all those currently known NLO contributions and found that: (a) for the measured decays $\bar{ B}_s^0 \to \phi \phi, K^{*0} \phi,\bar K^{*0} K^{*0}$ and $\rho^0 \phi$, the NLO contributions can provide $\sim 20\%$ to $\sim 40\%$ enhancements to the leading order (LO) PQCD predictions of their CP-averaged branching ratios, and consequently the agreement between the PQCD predictions and the measured values are improved effectively after the inclusion of the NLO contributions; (b) for the measured decays, the NLO corrections to the LO PQCD predictions for $(f_L,f_\perp)$ and $(\phi_{\|},\phi_{\bot})$ are generally small in size, but the weak penguin annihilation contributions play an important role in understanding the data about their decay rates, $f_L$ and $f_\perp$; (c) the NLO PQCD predictions for above mentioned physical observables do agree with the measured ones and the theoretical predictions from the QCDF, SCET and FAT approaches; (d) for other considered $B_s^0 \to VV$ decays, the NLO PQCD predictions for their decay rates and other physical observables are also basically consistent with the theoretical predictions from other popular approaches, future precision measurements could help us to test or examine these predictions., Comment: 23 pages, 2 figures and 10 Tables

A large number of $B_c$ meson events have been recorded at the LHCb detector, especially some two-body hadronic decay modes. We analyzed the weak decays of the $B_c$ meson into two hadron states under the flavor SU(3) symmetry. The relations among amplitudes of $B_c$ into $ D+P(V)$, $B+P(V)$, $P(V)+P(V)$, $T_8+\bar T_8$ and $T_{10}+\bar T_{10}$ were investigated systematically, where $P$ ( $V$) denotes a light pseudoscalar (vector) meson and $T_{8,10}$ denotes a light baryon. The $\eta-\eta'$ mixing and $\omega-\phi$ mixing effects are also considered for the phenomenological discussions. We obtained the relations among decay widths of different $B_c$ decay channels. We calculated the form factors of $B_{c}$ transitions into $\eta^{(')}$ meson and pseudoscalar Glueball, where the $B_{c}$ meson is a bound state of two different heavy flavors and is treated as a nonrelativistic state, while the mesons $\eta^{(')}$ and Glueball are treated as light-cone objects since their masses are smaller enough compared to the transition momentum scale. The mechanism of two gluon scattering into $\eta^{(')}$ dominated the form factors of $B_{c}$ decays into $\eta^{(')}$. We considered the $\eta-\eta'-$Glueball mixing effect, and then obtained their influences on the form factors. The form factors of $B_{c}$ transitions into $\eta^{(')}$ and pseudoscalar Glueball in the maximum momentum recoil point were obtained as follows: $f^\eta_{0,+}(q^2=0)=1.38^{+0.00}_{-0.02}\times 10^{-3}$,$f^{\eta'}_{0,+}(q^2=0)=0.89^{+0.11}_{-0.10}\times 10^{-2}$ and $f^{G}_{0,+}(q^2=0)=0.44^{+0.13}_{-0.05}\times 10^{-2}$. Also phenomenological discussions for semileptonic $B_{c}\to\eta^{(')}+\ell+\bar{\nu}_\ell$, $B_{c}\to G(0^{-+})+\ell+\bar{\nu}_\ell$ and $D_{s}\to \eta+\ell+\bar{\nu}_\ell$ decays are given., Comment: 11 pages, 8 figures, and 5 tables

We revisit the evaluations for the spacelike and timelike $\rho \pi$ transition form factors $F_{\rho\pi}(Q^2)$ and $G_{\rho\pi}(Q^2)$ with the inclusion of the the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD contributions in the framework of the $k_T$ factorization theorem. The infrared divergence is regularized by the transversal momentum carried by external valence quarks, and ultimately absorbed into the meson wave functions. In the region of $ Q^2 \leqslant 2 \, \textrm{GeV}^2 $, where PQCD factorization apporach applicable, the NLO contribution can bring no larger than $ 35\%$ enhancement to the spacelike form factor $F_{\rho\pi}(Q^2)$. For the timelike form factor derived under the kinematic exchanging symmetry, this contribution is also under control when the momentum transfer squared is large enough. We also prolong our prediction into the small $Q^2$ region by taking the Lattice QCD results into account, and subsequently obtain the coupling $g_{\rho\pi\gamma} = G_{\rho\pi}(0)=0.596$., Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures

We derive the $k_T$ resummation for doubly heavy-flavored $B_c$ meson decays by including the charm quark mass effect into the known formula for a heavy-light system. The resultant Sudakov factor is employed in the perutrbative QCD study of the "golden channel" $B_c^+ \to J/\psi \pi^+$. With a reasonable model for the $B_c$ meson distribution amplitude, which maintains approximate on-shell conditions of both the partonic bottom and charm quarks, it is observed that the imaginary piece of the $B_c \to J/\psi$ transition form factor appears to be power suppressed, and the $B_c^+ \to J/\psi \pi^+$ branching ratio is not lower than $10^{-3}$. In this paper, we studied the quasi-two-body $B_c \to D_{(s)} [ \rho(770),\rho(1450),\rho(1700) \to ] \pi \pi$ decays by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach. The two-pion distribution amplitudes $\Phi_{\pi\pi}$ are applied to include the final-state interactions between the pion pair, while the time-like form factors $F_{\pi}(w^2)$ associated with the $P$-wave resonant states $\rho(770)$, $\rho(1450)$ and $\rho(1700)$ are extracted from the experimental data of the $e^+e^-$ annihilation. We found that: (a) the PQCD predictions for the branching ratios of the quasi-two-body $B_c \to D_{(s)} [\rho(770), \rho(1450), \rho(1700) \to ] \pi \pi$ decays are in the order of $10^{-9}$ to $ 10^{-5}$ and the direct $CP$ violations around $(10-40)\%$ in magnitude; (b) the two sets of the large hierarchy $R_{1a,1b,1c}$ and $R_{2a,2b,2c}$ for the ratios of the branching ratios of the considered decays are defined and can be understood in the PQCD factorization approach, while the self-consistency between the quasi-two-body and two-body framework for $B_{c} \to D_{(s)} [\rho(770) \to ] \pi \pi$ and $B_{c} \to D_{(s)} \rho(770)$ decays are confirmed by our numerical results; (c) taking currently known ${\cal B}(\rho(1450)\to\pi\pi)$ and ${\cal B}(\rho(1700) \to \pi\pi)$ as input, we extracted the theoretical predictions for ${\cal B}(B_{c} \to D \rho(1450)) $ and ${\cal B}(B_{c} \to D \rho(1700))$ from the PQCD predictions for the decay rates of the quasi-two-body decays $B_{c} \to D [\rho(1450), \rho(1700) \to ] \pi \pi$. We calculate the branching ratios and polarization fractions of the $B \to a_1 b_1$ decays in the perturbative QCD(pQCD) approach at leading order, where $a_1$($b_1$) stands for the axial-vector $a_1(1260)[b_1(1235)]$ state. By combining the phenomenological analyses with the perturbative calculations, we find the following results: (a) the large decay rates around $10^{-5}$ to $10^{-6}$ of the $B \to a_1 b_1$ decays dominated by the longitudinal polarization(except for the $B^+ \to b_1^+ a_1^0$ mode) are predicted and basically consistent with those in the QCD factorization(QCDF) within errors, which are expected to be tested by the Large Hadron Collider and Belle-II experiments. The large $B^0 \to a_1^0 b_1^0$ branching ratio could provide hints to help explore the mechanism of the color-suppressed decays. (b) the rather different QCD behaviors between the $a_1$ and $b_1$ mesons result in the destructive(constructive) contributions in the nonfactorizable spectator diagrams with $a_1(b_1)$ emission. Therefore, an interesting pattern of the branching ratios appears for the color-suppressed $B^0 \to a_1^0 a_1^0, a_1^0 b_1^0,$ and $b_1^0 b_1^0$ modes in the pQCD approach, $Br(B^0 \to b_1^0 b_1^0) > Br(B^0 \to a_1^0 b_1^0) \gtrsim Br(B^0 \to a_1^0 a_1^0)$, which is different from $Br(B^0 \to b_1^0 b_1^0) \sim Br(B^0 \to a_1^0 b_1^0) \gtrsim Br(B^0 \to a_1^0 a_1^0)$ in the QCDF and would be verified at future experiments. (c) the large naive factorization breaking effects are observed in these $B \to a_1 b_1$ decays. Specifically, the large nonfactorizable spectator(weak annihilation) amplitudes contribute to the $B^0 \to b_1^+ a_1^-(B^+ \to a_1^+ b_1^0\; {\rm and}\; B^+ \to b_1^+ a_1^0)$ mode(s), which demand confirmations via the precise measurements., Comment: 13 pages, 1 figure, 5 tables, revtex file

In this paper, we calculated the branching ratios of the quasi-two-body decays $B \to \eta_c (1S ,2S)$ $[\rho(770), \rho(1450),\rho(1700)\to ] \pi\pi$ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. The contributions from the $P$-wave resonances $\rho(770)$, $\rho(1450)$ and $\rho(1700)$ were taken into account. The two-pion distribution amplitude $\Phi_{\pi\pi}^{\rm P}$ is parameterized by the vector current time-like form factor $F_{\pi}$ to study the considered decay modes. We found that (a) the PQCD predictions for the branching ratios of the considered quasi-two-body decays are in the order of $10^{-7} \sim 10^{-6}$, while the two-body decay rates ${\cal B}(B \to \eta_c{(1S,2S)} (\rho(1450),\rho(1700)))$ are extracted from those for the corresponding quasi-two-body decays; (b) the whole pattern of the pion form factor-squared $|F_\pi|^2$ measured by the BABAR Collaboration could be understood based on our theoretical results; (c) the general expectation based on the similarity between $B \to \eta_c \pi\pi$ and $B \to J/\psi \pi\pi$ decays are confirmed: $R_2(\eta_c)\approx 0.45$ is consistent with the measured $R_2(J/\psi)\approx 0.56\pm 0.09$ within errors; and (d) new ratios $R_3(\eta_c(1S))$ and $R_4(\eta_c(2S))$ among the branching ratios of the considered decay modes are defined and could be tested by future experiments., Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures

By employing a framework for the quasi-two-body decays in the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, we calculate the branching ratios of the decays $B_{(s)} \to D (\rho(1450),\rho(1700))\to D \pi \pi$ with $D=(D_{(s)}, \bar{D}_{(s)})$. The pion vector form factor $F_\pi$, acquired from a {\it BABAR} Collaboration analysis of $e^+ e^- \to \pi^+ \pi^-(\gamma)$ data, is involved in the two-pion distribution amplitudes $\Phi^{I=1}_{\pi\pi}$. The PQCD predictions for the branching ratios of the considered quasi-two-body decays are in the range of $10^{-10} \sim 10^{-4}$. The PQCD predictions for ${\cal B}(B^0\to \bar{D}^0 (\rho^0(1450),\rho^0(1700)) \to \bar{D}^0 \pi^+\pi^-)$ agree well with the measured values as reported by LHCb if one takes still large theoretical errors into account. Unlike the traditional way of the PQCD approach, one can extract the decay rates for the two-body decays $B_{(s)} \to D (\rho(1450),\rho(1700))$ from the results of the corresponding quasi-two-body decays. The PQCD predictions for ${\cal B}(B_{(s)} \to D \rho(1450))$ and ${\cal B}(B_{(s)} \to D \rho(770))$ are similar in magnitude: an interesting relation to be tested by future experimental measurements., Comment: 8 pages, 1 figure and 3 tables. In this paper, we will make systematic calculations for the branching ratios and the CP-violating asymmetries of the twenty one $\bar{B}^0_s \to PV $ decays by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach. Besides the full leading-order (LO) contributions, all currently known next-to-leading order (NLO) contributions are taken into account. We found numerically that: (a) the NLO contributions can provide $\sim 40\%$ enhancement to the LO PQCD predictions for ${\cal B}(\bar{B}_s^0 \to K^0 \bar{K}^{*0})$ and $ {\cal B}(\bar{B}_s^0 \to K^{\pm}K^{*\mp})$, or a $\sim 37\% $ reduction to $ \calb(\bar{B}_s^0 \to \pi^{-} K^{*+})$, and we confirmed that the inclusion of the known NLO contributions can improve significantly the agreement between the theory and those currently available experimental measurements, (b) the total effects on the PQCD predictions for the relevant $B\to P$ transition form factors after the inclusion of the NLO twist-2 and twist-3 contributions is generally small in magnitude: less than $ 10\%$ enhancement respect to the leading order result, (c) for the "tree" dominated decay $\bar B_s^0\to K^+ \rho^- $ and the "color-suppressed-tree" decay $\bar B_s^0\to \pi^0 K^{*0}$, the big difference between the PQCD predictions for their branching ratios are induced by different topological structure and by interference effects among the decay amplitude ${\cal A}_{T,C}$ and ${\cal A}_P$: constructive for the first decay but destructive for the second one, and (d) for $\bar{B}_s^0 \to V(\eta, \etar)$ decays, the complex pattern of the PQCD predictions for their branching ratios can be understood by rather different topological structures and the interference effects between the decay amplitude $\cala(V\eta_q)$ and $\cala(V\eta_s)$ due to the $\eta-\etar$ mixing., Comment: 18 pages, 2 figures, 3 tables. We analyzed the nonleptonic decays $B/B_s\to \psi(2S) V $ with $V=(\rho, \omega, K^{*}, \phi)$ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach. Here the branching ratios, the $CP$ asymmetries and the complete set of polarization observables are investigated systematically. Besides the traditional contributions from the factorizable and nonfactorizable diagrams at the leading order, the next-to-leading order (NLO) vertex corrections could also provide considerable contributions. The PQCD predictions for the branching ratios of the $B_{(s)}\to \psi(2S)K^{*}, \psi(2S) \phi$ decays are consistent with the measured values within errors. As for $B\to \psi(2S) \rho, \psi(2S) \omega$ decays, the branching ratios can reach the order of $10^{-5}$ and could be measured in the LHCb and Belle-II experiments. The numerical results show that the direct $CP$ asymmetries of the considered decays are very small. Thus the observation of any large direct $CP$ asymmetry for these decays will be a signal for new physics. The mixing induced $CP$ asymmetries in the neutral modes are very close to $\sin 2\beta_{(s)}$, which suggests that these channels can give a cross-check on the measurement of the Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) angle $\beta$ and $\beta_s$. We found that the longitudinal polarization fractions $f_0$ are suppressed to $\sim 50\%$ due to the large nonfactorizable contributions. The magnitudes and phases of the two transverse amplitudes $\mathcal {A}_{\parallel}$ and $\mathcal {A}_{\perp}$ are roughly equal, which is an indication for the approximate light quark helicity conservation in these decays. The overall polarization observables of $B\to \psi(2S) K^{*0}$ and $B_s\to \psi(2S) \phi$ channels are also in good agreement with the experimental measurements as reported by LHCb and BaBar. In this work, we calculate the $CP$-averaged branching ratios and direct $CP$-violating asymmetries of the quasi-two-body decays $B_{(s)}\to P \rho^\prime(1450), P\rho^{\prime\prime}(1700)\to P \pi\pi$ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, where $P$ is a light pseudoscalar meson $K, \pi, \eta$ and $\eta^{\prime}$. The considered decay modes are studied in the quasi-two-body framework by parameterizing the two-pion distribution amplitude $\Phi_{\pi\pi}^{\rm P}$. The $P$-wave time-like form factor $F_{\pi}$ in the resonant regions associated with the $\rho^\prime(1450)$ and $\rho^{\prime\prime}(1700)$ is estimated based on available experimental data. The PQCD predictions for the $CP$-averaged branching ratios of the decays $B_{(s)}\to P\rho^\prime(1450), P\rho^{\prime\prime}(1700)\to P\pi\pi$ are in the order of $10^{-7} \sim 10^{-9}$. Two-body charmless hadronic $B_c$ decays involving a light $1^3\!P_2$-tensor($T$) meson are investigated for the first time within the framework of perturbative QCD(pQCD) at leading order, in which the other meson is the lightest pseudoscalar($P$) or vector($V$) state. The concerned processes can only occur through the pure weak annihilation topology in the standard model. We predict the CP-averaged branching ratios and polarization fractions of those considered decays in Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa(CKM) favored and suppressed modes. Phenomenologically, several modes$-$such as the $B_c \to K_2^*(1430) K$ and the CKM-favored $B_c \to TV-$have large decay rates of $10^{-6}$, which are expected to be detected at Large Hadron Collider experiments in the near future. Moreover, all of the $B_c \to TV$ modes are governed by the longitudinal amplitudes in the pQCD calculations and the corresponding fractions vary around $78\%$-$98\%$. We revisit the proof of the perturbative QCD factorization for the exclusive processes $\rho \gamma^{\star} \to \pi(\rho)$ at the two-parton twist-3 level. It is pointed out that the residual collinear divergences observed in the literature, which break the factorization of the above processes at the considered accuracy, are attributed to the improper insertion of the Fierz identity for factorizing the fermion flow.
