The first of a planned fourteen-volume collection of the papers of Martin Luther King, Jr., `Called to Serve' offers a superbly edited collection of documents from King's childhood, as well as from his years at Morehouse College in Atlanta (1944-1948) and Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania (1948-1951).
