The article discusses the success of a remote learning program called Ahlan Simsim, which was designed for preschool-aged Syrian refugee children living in camps in Lebanon. The program combines video content produced by Sesame Street with services from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to provide educational support to vulnerable children. A study conducted by New York University showed that children participating in the program made progress in learning and overall development comparable to a year of in-person preschool. The program aims to help children cope with toxic stress and reduce the gap in achieving their full potential. [Extracted from the article]
