The article reports on the plan of the ALA Publishing Department to reorganize its publishing operations in the U.S. in 2006. In this paper, the net revenue contribution of the department to the general fund of the American Library Association is presented. Reasons of the association for reorganizing its publishing operations are also mentioned. Moreover, the projects that are planned to accomplish by the association in 2006 are outlined.
