The article discusses a study by Doctor Yonka Akova that investigated the use of topical and subconjunctival administration of bevacizumab to reduce experimental corneal vascularization in rats. Findings showed that bevacizumab inhibits corneal angiogenesis without any difference seen regardless of route of administration. It concludes that bevacizumab reduced experimental corneal revascularization significantly and may have additional effect in the treatment of corneal neorevascularization.
