The article reports about the public buildings in Madrid and Barcelona. It explores the many approaches in place-making now found in Spain. Built by key architects in Spain, the buildings described in this paper are all public buildings which achieved the status as civic monuments. It focuses on modern architecture refined by the architects in creating these buildings.
