The article provides information about the report by auditing and professional service firm PricewaterhouseCoopers regarding the newspaper industry worldwide. It revealed a 38 percent decline in advertising revenue of U.S. and Canadian papers since 2005, and an estimated additional 16 percent fall in the next three years. It also showed a 0.5 percent growth in 2009 revenues of newspapers in the Latin American region which it attributed to low broadband penetration.
