Abstract

The article focuses on a parallel-group study conducted by researchers from several institutes in Europe. It was participated by 364 patients with up to four liver metastases who were assigned to either six cycles of FOLFOX4 regimen, which includes oxaliplatin, 5-Fluorouracil and leucovovin, before and after surgery or to just surgery. Researchers concluded that patients with such a condition are less likely to have progression-free survival with surgery and perioperative chemotherapy compared with just surgery.
