The article discusses ocular sting injuries from bee and wasp and the management for such injuries. It discusses the three categories of bee sting injuries such as mechanical, toxic, and immunologic and the effects of different therapeutics in the said cases. It says that ocular stings may lead to redness, edema, and hyperemia as caused by the venomous reaction. Moreover, stingers must be removed from the skin and affected area can be cleaned with soap and water or compressed with ice.

The article reports on a study by a research team in Brazil, led by Lúcia H. Facciolo of the University of Sao Paolo, on the potential of common anti-inflammatory drugs indomethacin and celecoxib to act as an antidote for scorpion venom. The research showed that indomethacin and celecoxib are able to tame immune reaction in mice exposed to scorpion poison.
