The article offers information on the Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power (CCEFP), which is supported by the National Science Foundation in the U.S. The center was started in 2006 and is a network of seven universities and over 50 companies and non-profit institutions. The Center currently has 48 faculty and staff researchers, 81 graduate students and 63 undergraduate researchers and 61% of its graduates enter the fluid power field. Fluid power finds its application in the field of agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, renewable energy, and so on.
