Low back pain is the pain or discomfort located in the lower part of the back, between the ribs and the gluteal area, which can radiate to the legs. The most common cause of low back pain is mechanical low back pain. Other possible causes include visceral diseases, neoplasms, herniated disc, inflammatory arthritis, spinal stenosis, among others. To reach a specific diagnosis, complementary explorations can be performed and symptoms and alarm signs must be taken into account. [Extracted from the article]
