Abstract

The article reports on Northern Irish farmers Brian and Anne-Marie Doheny using selenium-enriched fertilizer in their farm as it is located in one of the most selenium deficient areas of Ireland. It is said that most of the dairy farmers have to supplement cows' intakes as between 90% and 95% of soils in Great Britain are deficient in selenium.
