Abstract

The article reports on the design development of 4 x 4 and 8 x 8 Butler matrices with no crossover circuits based on slot-coupled technology and flexible design. Also cited are the use of hybrid couplers, elliptically-shaped coupling structures, and phase shifters in the design of matrices, and the possible applications of the matrices like beam-forming networks.
