With the development of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), deep learning-based face super-resolution (FSR) approaches have achieved remarkable results in recent years. However, existing FSR methods often rely on face prior knowledge, which greatly increases network complexity and computation. In this paper, we propose DAFNet, a dual attention fusion-based FSR network comprising numerous face attention fusion modules (FAFMs). FAFM is a residual structure containing attention mechanism, which is divided into feature branches and attention branches. The feature branch introduces an hourglass block to extract multi-scale information, while the attention branch incorporates channel attention and spatial attention in series. This design ensures that the network prioritizes important information and effectively recovers detailed facial features. Luminance-chrominance error loss and gradient loss are introduced to guide the training process. Additionally, adversarial loss and perceptual loss are incorporated to enhance the recovery of visually realistic face images. Notably, our method can produce clear faces at a high-scale factor of eight times without relying on any facial prior information, effectively reducing network complexity. This paper suggests a text emotion analysis approach built on the BMCBMA model for use in an online education environment aiming at the issues of poor text utilization, challenge in effective information extraction, and a failure to effectively recognize word polysemy in existing text emotion analysis task research. Initially, a language model is constructed using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) pre-training. The word vector trained by BERT pre-training is selected to supplant the word vector trained in the conventional manner, and the semantic vector is generated dynamically using the context of the word. Second, the Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) model is employed to record semantic information by simultaneously integrating both positive and negative orientations to assess the emotional polarity information for every text in its entirety. The Multi-channel Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) model is then utilized to derive textual local feature information of text. Lastly, the attention mechanism is used to cause all types of features to interact and to derive a deeper semantic association within the context. Experiments indicate that the suggested method has accuracy, F1, recall, and precision values of 0.915, 0.911, 0.915 and 0.908, correspondingly. The recognition of steel microstructure images plays a crucial role in the metallographic analysis process. Although some progress has been made through the application of artificial intelligence algorithms, several challenges remain. First, existing algorithms exhibit weak nonlinear feature extraction capabilities and noticeable limitations. Second, they overlook the intrinsic noise and redundant interference present in microscopic images. To address these issues, this paper investigates the automatic recognition of metallographic tissues by leveraging residual structures in deep neural networks. An enhanced residual network model based on transfer learning is proposed, which utilizes the pre-trained weights from the ImageNet dataset to facilitate learning with small sample data. This network offers higher classification accuracy and higher F1 scores. In addition, a deep residual shrinkage network model based on an attention mechanism is proposed. This model incorporates an attention sub-network into the original residual module and employs a soft threshold function to eliminate redundant features, including noise. The proposed algorithms are evaluated against various convolutional neural networks using 20 types of metallographic test sets. The experimental results showed that both methods have high accuracy rates of 95% and 94.44%, respectively, and F1 scores of 0.9464 and 0.9419. While maintaining the complexity of the model, there has been a significant improvement in accuracy, and the models exhibit strong generalization capabilities. Accurate identification of vehicles and estimating density in traffic surveillance systems is a challenging task, particularly in scenarios with closely spaced lanes. Single Shot MultiBox Detector (SSD) is introduced in vehicle detection and classification due to its speed and accuracy. It utilizes a transfer learning technique that enables them to utilize features from pretrained Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). Although the utilization of multi-scale feature maps in SSD has achieved efficient results in vehicle detection, it struggles to identify key features of vehicles due to its one-stage detection approach. Furthermore, the use of VGG16 as the backbone network in these approaches leads to the loss of fine-grained details, posing challenges in accurately localizing and classifying small vehicles. Also, there is no interaction between high- and low-level features, which restricts the networks ability to effectively integrate and utilize both features for accurate vehicle detection. To overcome these limitations, an improved SSD approach is introduced in this paper, leveraging interactive multi-scale attention characteristics to accurately detect and classify vehicles. This approach utilizes ResNet50 as the network backbone to overcome the limitations of traditional SSDs in detecting small vehicles. Also, an attention block is incorporated into it to focus on key details and assign higher attention to relevant pixels within the feature map. Also, the network employs a parallel detection framework and shares multi-scale layers (both high and low), enabling efficient detection of vehicles with various sizes. Then, traffic density is estimated based on the weights assigned to the categorized vehicles obtained from the improved SSD and the recorded area. Finally, traffic is classified as high, low, or moderate by comparing the estimated density to a threshold value. By adding attention characteristics of different scales to the original detection branch and replacing the VGG16 with ResNet50 of the SSD technique using our method, the feature representation capability and detection accuracy are both significantly improved. In recent years, single image super-resolution (SISR) methods using convolutional neural networks (CNN) have achieved satisfactory performance. Nevertheless, the large model scale and the slow inference speed of these methods greatly limit the application scenarios. In this paper, we propose a two-stage three-dimensional attention network (ATTNet) for lightweight image super-resolution. First, we put forward the spatial feature encoder–decoder (SFE-D) with a spatial attention mechanism. Next, the channel transposed attention module (CTAM) with a channel self-attention mechanism is designed. Both the modules are used for fine feature extraction in the low-resolution stage. Finally, the content-based pixel recombination module (CPRM) is proposed to reconstruct the detailed content with a joint attention mechanism in the high-resolution stage. According to our experimental results, significant performance in terms of the quantitative metrics and the subjective visual quality can be achieved on average compared with the state-of-the-art lightweight SISR algorithms. The demands of high-quality videos captured by camera become bigger due to the rapid development of pattern recognition and artificial intelligence. Video denoising is the key technology to obtain clear videos. However, the research on video denoising is far from enough now. In this paper, we propose a video denoising method based on convolutional neural network architecture to reduce the noise from the sensor system. We improve the loss function of noise estimation by imposing adaptive penalty on under-estimation error of noise level which makes our method perform robustly. Furthermore, we make use of multi-level features to guide the spatial denoising, where multilayer semantic information of the image is regarded as the perceptual loss. Instead of relying on Optical Flow solving the characterization of inter-frame information, we utilize U-Net-like structure to handle motion implicitly. It is less computationally expensive and avoids distortions caused by inaccurate flow and object occlusion. In order to locate temporal features and suppress useless information, the attention mechanism is introduced to the skip connections of the U-Net-like structure. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outputs more convincing results in both peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index measure (SSIM) indexes when processing Gaussian noise, synthetic real noise, and real noise compared with selected approaches. To solve the problem of the lack of representativeness of the training set and the poor prediction accuracy due to the limited number of training samples when the machine learning method is used for the classification and prediction of pharmacokinetic indicators, this paper proposes a 1DCNN-Attention concentration prediction model optimized by the sparrow search algorithm (SSA). First, the SMOTE method is used to expand the small sample experimental data to make the data diverse and representative. Then a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1DCNN) model is established, and the attention mechanism is introduced to calculate the weight of each variable for dividing the importance of each pharmacokinetic indicator by the output drug concentration. The SSA algorithm was used to optimize the parameters in the model to improve the prediction accuracy after data expansion. Taking the pharmacokinetic model of phenobarbital (PHB) combined with Cynanchum otophyllum saponins to treat epilepsy as an example, the concentration changes of PHB were predicted and the effectiveness of the method was verified. Aiming to solve the problem of tracking drift during movement, which was caused by the lack of discriminability of the feature information and the failure of a fixed template to adapt to the change of object appearance, the paper proposes an object tracking algorithm combining attention mechanism and correlation filter theory based on the framework of full convolutional Siamese neural networks. Firstly, the apparent information is processed by using the attention mechanism thought, where the object and search area features are optimized according to the spatial attention and channel attention module. At the same time, the cross-attention module is introduced to process the template branch and search area branch, respectively, which makes full use of the diversified context information of the search area. Then, the background perception correlation filter model with scale adaptation and learning rate adjustment is adopted into the model construction, using as a layer in the network model to realize the object template update. Finally, the optimal object location is determined according to the confidence map with similarity calculation. Experimental results show that the designed method in the paper can promote the object tracking performance under various challenging environments effectively; the success rate increases by 16.2%, and the accuracy rate increases by 16%. It is of great significance for individuals, enterprises, and government departments to analyze and excavate the sentiment in the comments. Many deep learning models are used for text sentiment analysis, and the BiTCN model has good efficacy on sentiment analysis. However, in the actual semantic expression, the contribution of each word to the sentiment tendency is different, BiTCN treats it fairly and does not pay more attention to the key sentiment words. For this problem, a sentiment analysis model based on the BiTCN-Attention is proposed in this paper. The Self-Attention mechanism and Multi-Head Self-Attention mechanism are added to BiTCN respectively to form BiTCN-SA and BiTCN-MHSA, which improve the weight of sentiment words and the accuracy of feature extraction, to increase the effect of sentiment analysis. The experimental results show that the model accuracies of BiTCN-SA and BiTCN-MHSA in the JingDong commodity review data set are 3.96% and 2.41% higher than that of BiTCN, respectively. Human action recognition has attracted extensive research efforts in recent years, in which traffic police gesture recognition is important for self-driving vehicles. One of the crucial challenges in this task is how to find a representation method based on spatial-temporal features. However, existing methods performed poorly in spatial and temporal information fusion, and how to extract features of traffic police gestures has not been well researched. This paper proposes an attention mechanism based on the improved spatial-temporal convolutional neural network (AMSTCNN) for traffic police gesture recognition. This method focuses on the action part of traffic police and uses the correlation between spatial and temporal features to recognize traffic police gestures, so as to ensure that traffic police gesture information is not lost. Specifically, AMSTCNN integrates spatial and temporal information, uses weight matching to pay more attention to the region where human action occurs, and extracts region proposals of the image. Finally, we use Softmax to classify actions after spatial-temporal feature fusion. AMSTCNN can strongly make use of the spatial-temporal information of videos and select effective features to reduce computation. The small defects in overhead catenary system (OCS) can result in long time delays, economic loss and even passenger injury. However, OCS images exhibit great variations with complex background and oblique views which pose a great challenge for small defects detection in high-speed rail system. In this paper, we propose the spatial-prior-guided attention for small object detection in OCS with two main advantages: (1) The spatial-prior is proposed to retain the spatial information between small defects and the electric components in OCS. (2) Based on spatial-prior, the spatial-prior-guided attention model (SAM) is designed to highlight useful information in the features and suppress redundant features response. SAM can model the spatial relations progressively and can be integrated with state-of-the-art feed-forward network architecture with end-to-end training fashion. We conduct extensive experiments on both Split pin datasets and PASCAL–VOC datasets and achieve 97.2% and 79.5% mAP values, respectively. Overhead catenary system (OCS) images exhibit great variations with clutter backgrounds, complex scenes and oblique views which pose great difficulty for automatic pillar number plate (NP) detection and recognition (NPDAR). Although these tasks have an important and practical significance for railway transportation, little researches have been done on these fields. In this paper, we propose a complete automatic NPDAR system with two main advantages: (1) For detection task, we propose Skip Connection Attention Module (SCAM) for adaptive feature refinement. Based on SCAM, the Attention_Guided Feature Fusion (AFF) module is designed for building high-level feature maps at different scales. (2) A novel convolution module, width/height convolution module (W/H-CM) was designed for NP recognition to capture global feature information efficiently. The W/H-CM extracts contextual information from two other perspectives compared to common convolution operation and iteratively generates supplementary information, making the representation of features more comprehensive. Both of them can incorporate with state-of-art feed forward network architecture in an end-to-end training fashion.
