An instrument-free, user-friendly, and cost-effective PAD colorimetric sensor that can quantitative detection of H 2 O 2 has been realized by using bimetallic nickel–cobalt selenides as highly active peroxidase mimic and smartphone integrated with dark cavity as detector. Paper-based analytical devices (PADs) integrated with smartphones have shown great potential in various fields, but they also face challenges such as single signal reading, complex data processing and significant environmental impacting. In this study, a colorimetric PAD platform has been proposed using bimetallic nickel–cobalt selenides as highly active peroxidase mimic, smartphone with 3D-printing dark-cavity as a portable detector and an artificial neural network (ANN) model as multi-signal processing tool. Notably, the optimized nickel–cobalt selenides (Ni 0.75 Co 0.25 Se with Ni to Co ratio of 3/1) exhibit excellent peoxidase-mimetic activities and are capable of catalyzing the oxidation of four chromogenic reagents in the presence of H 2 O 2. Using a smartphone with image capture function as a friendly signal readout tool, the Ni 0.75 Co 0.25 Se based four channel colorimetric sensing paper is used for multi-signal quantitative analysis of H 2 O 2 by determining the Grey, red (R), green (G) and blue (B) channel values of the captured pictures. An intelligent on-site detection method for H 2 O 2 has been constructed by combining an ANN model and a self-programmed easy-to-use smartphone APP with a dynamic range of 5 μM to 2 M. Higher heating value (HHV) is one of the most important parameters in determining the quality of the fuels. In this study, comparatively large datasets of ultimate and proximate analysis are constructed to be used in HHV estimation of several classes of fuels, including char & fossil fuels, agricultural wastes, manure (chicken, cow, horse, sheep, llama, and pig), sludge (like paper, paper-mil, sewage, and pulp), micro/macro-algae's, wastes (RDF and MSW), treated woods, untreated woods, and others (non-fossil pyrolysis oils) between the HHV range of 4.22–55.55 MJ/kg. The relationships of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atomic ratios for fuel classes are illustrated by using ternary plots, and the effects of elemental composition on HHV was analyzed with the extensive dataset. Then, the ultimate (U) and ultimate & proximate (UP) datasets were utilized separately to estimate the HHV by using artificial neural networks (ANN). Hyperparameter optimization was carried out and the best performing ANNs were determined for each dataset, which yielded R2 values of 0.9719 and 0.9715, respectively. The results indicated that while ANNs trained by both datasets perform remarkably well, utilization of U dataset is sufficient for HHV estimation. Finally, the best performing ANN models for both U and UP datasets are given in a directly utilizable format enabling the accurate estimation of HHV of any fuel for optimization of fuel processing and waste management operations. This paper studies the impact of geomorphic and topographic evolution on environmental planning so as to lay the foundation for future rural environmental planning in Jinan. This paper analyzes the impact of landform evolution on environmental planning and introduces the types of spring rural settlements in hilly landforms and intermountain plains, respectively. On this basis, an artificial neural network is used to reflect the dynamic change law of spring water and is combined with a fuzzy evaluation method to evaluate the impact of underground space development in Jinan on spring water and human activities. Through empirical analysis, it is known that artificial neural networks can accurately detect the dynamic change law of spring water, and on this basis, fuzzy evaluation methods are used to design the impact of spring water-rural settlement landscape planning. The impact of spatial development on spring water is divided into four levels: the stronger impact area, the strong impact area, the general impact area, and the small impact area of underground space development on spring water, which account for about 1.036%, 1.001%, 0.371%, and 97.591% of the total area of the study area, respectively. Recent increases in global food demand have made this research and, therefore, the prediction of agricultural commodity prices, almost imperative. The aim of this paper is to build efficient artificial intelligence methods to effectively forecast commodity prices in light of these global events. Using three separate, well-structured models, the commodity prices of eleven major agricultural commodities that have recently caused crises around the world have been predicted. In achieving its objective, this paper proposes a novel forecasting model for agricultural commodity prices using the extreme learning machine technique optimized with the genetic algorithm. In predicting the eleven commodities, the proposed model, the extreme learning machine with the genetic algorithm, outperforms the model formed by the combination of long short-term memory with the genetic algorithm and the autoregressive integrated moving average model. Despite the fluctuations and changes in agricultural commodity prices in 2022, the extreme learning machine with the genetic algorithm model described in this study successfully predicts both qualitative and quantitative behavior in such a large number of commodities and over such a long period of time for the first time. It is expected that these predictions will provide benefits for the effective management, direction and, if necessary, restructuring of agricultural policies by providing food requirements that adapt to the dynamic structure of the countries. This paper presents an artificial neural network (ANN) based method for overhead lines magnetic flux density estimation. The considered method enables magnetic flux density estimation for arbitrary configurations and load conditions for single-circuit, multi-circuit, and also overhead lines that share a common corridor. The presented method is based on the ANN model that has been developed using the training dataset that is produced by a specifically designed algorithm. This paper aims to demonstrate a systematic and comprehensive ANN-based method for simple and effective overhead lines magnetic flux density estimation. The presented method is extensively validated by utilizing experimental field measurements as well as the most commonly used calculation method (Biot - Savart law based method). In order to facilitate extensive validation of the considered method, numerous magnetic flux density measurements are conducted in the vicinity of different overhead line configurations. The validation results demonstrate that the used method provides satisfactory results. Thus, it could be reliably used for new overhead lines' design optimization, as well as for legally prescribed magnetic flux density level evaluation for existing overhead lines. As semiconductor performance improves through advanced package designs, it becomes important to consider both thermal and mechanical properties. Better understanding their relationship enhances system design and optimization. This study has introduced a numerical method that takes into account both thermal and mechanical fluxes to construct thermal and mechanical property maps for practical application in semiconductor engineering. Furthermore, this paper investigated the relationship between the two properties using the constructed property maps in commercially available semiconductor packages. Owing to the complexity of packaging design patterns, a coupled isoparametric mapping and machine learning (ML) method was introduced to investigate their effects. The model then determines and investigates the anisotropic equivalent thermal and mechanical properties of the commercialized semiconductor packages with complex pattern designs, according to the package materials, volume fractions of each material, and design patterns. This approach pursues more sophistication and practicality compared to simplified composite structure property evaluation models. Additionally, all processes in the algorithm are automated based on ML methods, making them practically applicable in the semiconductor industry. The study shows that there is a strong correlation between the thermal and mechanical characteristics in the complex package patterns. This relationship was able to form a fairly clear category based on the shape of the dielectric band because the dielectric band had significantly different effects on the thermal and mechanical fluxes. The study discussed the physical implications of the similarities and differences between the two behaviors and validated the results of the equivalent properties through finite element (FE) analysis. Finally, the study cross-validates the relationship by showing that information from one flux behavior can be used to predict the other based on the ML method. Artificial Intelligence is quickly emerging as a technological solution for the agriculture industry to surmount its classical challenges. Artificial Intelligence is facilitating farmers to refine their products and alleviate unfavourable impacts due to the environment. The central concern of this paper is predictive analytics to develop a machine learning model to identify and predict crop yield based on multiple environmental factors. In this paper, a hybrid learner 'RaNN' is proposed that combines the feature sampling and majority voting technique of Random Forest in-combination with the multilayer Feedforward Neural Network to predict the crop yield. Research has also ascertained the essential features responsible for accurate yield prediction. The proposed model works for rice yield prediction, one of the chief grains of India. The region chosen for the work is Punjab, which is among the largest producer states of India for rice. The dataset consists of 15 attributes comprising the weather and agriculture data collected from the Indian Meteorological Department Pune, and Punjab Environment Information System (ENVIS) Center, Government of India. The study has also made a comparative assessment of 'RaNN' with machine learning methods like Multiple Linear Regression, Random Forest, Decision Tree, Boosting Regression, Support Vector Machine Regression, Ensemble Learner, and Artificial Neural Network. Our model RaNN has listed a better prediction accuracy with minimal error among the other techniques providing a 98% correlation between the actual and the predicted yield. Electricity consumption in buildings is one of the major causes of energy usage and knowledge of this can help building owners and users increase energy efficiency and conservation efforts. For Pacific Island countries, building electricity demand data is not readily accessible or available for constructing models to predict electricity demand. This paper starts to fill this gap by studying the case of schools in Fiji. The aim of the paper is to assess the factors affecting electricity demand for grid-connected Fijian schools and use this assessment to build mathematical models (multiple linear regression (MLR) and artificial neural network (ANN)) to predict electricity consumption. The average grid-connected electricity demand in kWh/year was 1411 for early childhood education schools, 5403 for primary schools, and 23,895 for secondary schools. For predicting electricity demand (ED) for all grid-connected schools, the stepwise MLR model shows that taking logarithm transformations on both the dependent variable and independent variables (number of students, lights, and air conditioning systems) yields statistically significant independent variables with an R2 value of 73.3% and RMSE of 0.2248. To improve the predicting performance, ANN models were constructed on both the natural form of variables and transformed variables. The optimum ANN model had an R2 value of 95.3% and an RMSE of 59.4 kWh/year. The findings of this study can assist schools in putting measures in place to reduce their electricity demand, associated costs, and carbon footprint, as well as help government ministries make better-informed policies. Super-computing or HPC clusters are built to provide services to execute computationally complex applications. Generally, these HPC applications involve large scale IO (input/output) processing over the networked parallel file system disks. They are commonly developed on top of the C/C++ based MPI standard library. The HPC clusters MPI–IO performance significantly depends on the particular parameter value configurations, not generally considered when writing the algorithms or programs. Therefore, this leads to poor IO and overall program performance degradation. The IO is mostly left to individual practitioners to be optimised at code level. This usually leads to unexpected consequences due to IO bandwidth degradation which becomes inevitable as the file data scales in size to petabytes. To overcome the poor IO performance, this research paper presents an approach for auto-tuning of the configuration parameters by forecasting the MPI–IO bandwidth via artificial neural networks (ANNs), a machine learning (ML) technique. These parameters are related to MPI–IO library and lustre (parallel) file system. In addition to this, we have identified a number of common configurations out of numerous possibilities, selected in the auto-tuning process of READ/WRITE operations. These configurations caused an overall READ bandwidth improvement of 65.7% with almost 83% test cases improved. In addition, the overall WRITE bandwidth improved by 83% with number of test cases improved by almost 93%. Mechanical analysis and optimal design for functionally graded materials (FGMs) structures are significant. The present paper analyzes the parameter uncertainties problem for the thermomechanical response of the FGMs spherical shells with volume fraction power distribution. Here, the interval random uncertainty model is recommended to describe the uncertainties of each component of material parameters in FGMs, and a data-driven artificial neural network (ANN) fast calculation for FGMs spherical shells thermomechanical problems with uncertainties analysis is established and trained. The thermomechanical coupling response analysis and volume fraction optimization analysis of the FGMs spherical shell with material uncertainties are realized for zirconia-titanium FGMs, with the maximum normalized Von Mises stress as the structural safety index and the ANN as the fast calculation method. In addition, the Von Mises stress of the FGMs spherical shell and a ZrO 2 -Ti alloy double-layer spherical shell under different loads is compared. The results show that material parameter uncertainties, especially those in Young's modulus, thermal expansion coefficient, and uniaxial yield limit significantly affect structural safety. The structural safety index λ calculated based on the volume fraction optimization design of FGMs spherical shell is significantly lower than that of the ZrO 2 -Ti alloy double-layer. The ANN method greatly improves the computational efficiency for uncertain problems and maintains high accuracy, compared with the statistical analysis after many calculations by randomly selecting material parameters. As the world's transport infrastructure ages, the importance of bridge condition monitoring is becoming increasingly acknowledged. Large-scale deployment of existing inspection and monitoring techniques is infeasible due to cost and logistical challenges. The concept of using sensors located within vehicles for low cost 'drive-by' monitoring has become the focus of much attention in recent years. This paper presents a new data-driven approach for drive-by bridge monitoring. Machine learning techniques are leveraged to allow the influence of vehicle speed to be considered and the Operating Deflection Shape Ratio (ODSR) is presented as an alternative damage-sensitive feature to the commonly used frequency spectrum. Extensive laboratory experiments demonstrate that the method is capable of detecting midspan cracking and seized bearings. A statistical classification approach is adopted to classify damage indicators as either 'damaged' or 'healthy'. Classification accuracy is seen to vary between 65-96% and is similar whether using the frequency spectrum or ODSR. Based on the results of the laboratory testing, it is expected that this approach could be implemented on a large scale to act as an early warning tool for infrastructure owners to identify bridges presenting signs of distress or deterioration. The development of fragility curves is an important step in seismic risk assessment within the scope of performance‐based earthquake engineering. The goal of this work is to use machine learning methods (regression‐based tools) to forecast the large‐span precast parking structural responses and fragility curves. This study proposes five predicting models based on machine learning to evaluate the seismic performance of the large‐span precast parking structures, including: neural networks, genetic algorithm‐based neural networks, support vector machine, decision tree and random forest. A database that includes 453 numerical synthetic results was used to train and test the machine learning models. The seismic performance of large‐span precast parking structures were predicted using the constructed machine learning models. Finally, the sensitivity analysis of input parameters was conducted. From this paper we can conclude that: (1) the genetic optimization‐based neural networks' predicting model has the most accurate predictive ability for seismic fragility estimation and (2) the structural responses and the fragility curves of parking structures are related to the differences of the stiffness of the connectors and the number of floors, of which the stiffness of the connectors should be given special attention. The reliable design of multiphase micro‐structured apparatus requires a precise knowledge of the internal flow regime. Previous research indicated that classifiers based on artificial neural networks (ANN) are relatively simple to develop and provide a reasonable accuracy when trained with data for specific inlet designs. This paper introduces advanced ANN classifiers capable of predicting all relevant flow regimes regardless of the inlet design with a recall of 94 % and above for Taylor, churn, dispersed, rivulet, and parallel flows, between 89 % and 94 % for annular and bubbly flows, and 83 % for Taylor‐annular flow. The automotive S-rail plays a crucial role in frontal car crashes, aiming to absorb impact energy and reduce passenger injury. This paper innovatively presents an optimization approach to determine the optimal configuration of an S-rail featuring a tapered, multicell front section. The structural design of the S-rail is conceptualized within the design space of a heavy quadricycle vehicle and subsequently subjected to numerical investigation through LS-DYNA using nonlinear explicit dynamics analyses. The objective is to maximize energy absorption while minimizing the S-rail's initial peak force (IPF) and mass. An artificial neural network (ANN) is employed to construct surrogate models for the optimization process. The non dominated sorting genetic algorithm, integrated with the ANN, yields an optimal S-rail design. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method, using the mean weighting method on the Pareto frontier optimal solution set, is appropriately applied to select the optimal solution. The optimized S-rail shows improved specific energy absorption compared to the baseline model while maintaining a low IPF. In conclusion, this study highlights the superior predictability of an ANN over conventional quadratic response surface methodology. The results confirm the effectiveness of the ANN-based optimization approach and the selection of a compromise solution using the TOPSIS technique. Patient-specific 3D models of the human mandible are finding increasing utility in medical fields such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, dentistry, and forensic sciences. The efficient creation of personalized 3D bone models poses a key challenge in these applications. Existing solutions often rely on 3D statistical models of human bone, offering advantages in rapid bone geometry adaptation and flexibility by capturing a range of anatomical variations, but also a disadvantage in terms of reduced precision in representing specific shapes. Considering this, the proposed parametric model allows for precise manipulation using morphometric parameters acquired from medical images. This paper highlights the significance of employing the parametric model in the creation of a personalized bone model, exemplified through a case study targeting mandibular prognathism reconstruction. A personalized model is described as 3D point cloud determined through the utilization of series of parametric functions, determined by the application of geometrical morphometrics, morphology properties, and artificial neural networks in the input dataset of human mandible samples. With 95.05% of the personalized model's surface area displaying deviations within −1.00–1.00 mm relative to the input polygonal model, and a maximum deviation of 2.52 mm, this research accentuates the benefits of the parametric approach, particularly in the preoperative planning of mandibular deformity surgeries. Purpose: Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) is one of the growing technologies in additive manufacturing, that can be used in a number of applications. In this method, process parameters can be customized and their simultaneous variation has conflicting impacts on various properties of printed parts such as dimensional accuracy (DA) and surface finish. These properties could be improved by optimizing the values of these parameters. Design/methodology/approach: In this paper, four process parameters, namely, print speed, build orientation, raster width, and layer height which are referred to as "input variables" were investigated. The conflicting influence of their simultaneous variations on the DA of printed parts was investigated and predicated. To achieve this goal, a hybrid Genetic Algorithm – Artificial Neural Network (GA-ANN) model, was developed in C#.net, and three geometries, namely, U-shape, cube and cylinder were selected. To investigate the DA of printed parts, samples were printed with a central through hole. Design of Experiments (DoE), specifically the Rotational Central Composite Design method was adopted to establish the number of parts to be printed (30 for each selected geometry) and also the value of each input process parameter. The dimensions of printed parts were accurately measured by a shadowgraph and were used as an input data set for the training phase of the developed ANN to predict the behavior of process parameters. Then the predicted values were used as input to the Desirability Function tool which resulted in a mathematical model that optimizes the input process variables for selected geometries. The mean square error of 0.0528 was achieved, which is indicative of the accuracy of the developed model. Findings: The results showed that print speed is the most dominant input variable compared to others, and by increasing its value, considerable variations resulted in DA. The inaccuracy increased, especially with parts of circular cross section. In addition, if there is no need to print parts in vertical position, the build orientation should be set at 0° to achieve the highest DA. Finally, optimized values of raster width and layer height improved the DA especially when the print speed was set at a high value. Originality/value: By using ANN, it is possible to investigate the impact of simultaneous variations of FFF machines' input process parameters on the DA of printed parts. By their optimization, parts of highly accurate dimensions could be printed. These findings will be of significant value to those industries that need to produce parts of high DA on FFF machines. This paper presents a new accurate method to compute the mechanical response of pavement structures using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model coupled with Multi-Layer Elastic Analysis (MLEA). The ANN model is used to improve the numerical integration of the response function used in the MLEA method. It requires four inputs: total pavement thickness, the diameter of the contact area, radial distance, and depth of the response point; and it was trained on one million hypothetical pavement structures. The developed method has been validated by a comparative analysis against boundary conditions, finite element analysis, and available MLEA solutions using various hypothetical pavement structures. The results demonstrate that the developed solution gives excellent response in the vicinity of the pavement surface together with a significant improvement in computational efficiency. Purpose: This study aims to elucidate the machining properties of low-cost expanded clay-reinforced syntactic foams by using different neural network models for the first time in the literature. The main goal of this endeavor is to create a casting machining-neural network modeling flow-line for real-time foam manufacturing in the industry. Design/methodology/approach: Samples were manufactured via an industry-based die-casting technology. For the slot milling tests performed with different cutting speeds, depth of cut and lubrication conditions, a 3-axis computer numerical control (CNC) machine was used and the force data were collected through a digital dynamometer. These signals were used as input parameters in neural network modelings. Findings: Among the algorithms, the scaled-conjugated-gradient (SCG) methodology was the weakest average results, whereas the Levenberg–Marquard (LM) approach was highly successful in foreseeing the cutting forces. As for the input variables, an increase in the depth of cut entailed the cutting forces, and this circumstance was more obvious at the higher cutting speeds. Research limitations/implications: The effect of milling parameters on the cutting forces of low-cost clay-filled metallic syntactics was examined, and the correct detection of these impacts is considerably prominent in this paper. On the other side, tool life and wear analyses can be studied in future investigations. Practical implications: It was indicated that the milling forces of the clay-added AA7075 syntactic foams, depending on the cutting parameters, can be anticipated through artificial neural network modeling. Social implications: It is hoped that analyzing the influence of the cutting parameters using neural network models on the slot milling forces of metallic syntactic foams (MSFs) will be notably useful for research and development (R&D) researchers and design engineers. This paper proposes an encoder measurement error compensation method using an adaptive linear neuron, a type of artificial neural network, for use in the vector control of two-phase stepping motors. Stepping motors can have an asymmetric structure due to an eccentricity that occurs in the manufacturing and assembly process. When performing vector control with a flux angle measured by an incremental encoder attached to stepping motors with eccentricity, the following two kinds of encoder measurement errors occur. First, an offset position error occurs during the forced excitation process for the initial rotor position alignment. Second, sinusoidal position and speed errors with a frequency equal to the mechanical speed occur. In this paper, an improved modular multilevel converter (MMC) current controller is proposed for grid current harmonic mitigation in solid-state transformers (SSTs), regardless of the non-linear or unbalanced load positions at the SST stages. The proposed MMC current controller is achieved using three control strategies based on the harmonic order and the harmonic sequence: a low-order harmonic compensator, a negative-sequence harmonic compensator for unbalanced control, and a high-order harmonic compensator based on an artificial neural network (ANN) controller, trained offline using a fuzzy logic (FL) controller. The use of such non-linear controllers for both training and control ensures an active filtering feature for the MMC controller. This makes the proposed solution a good alternative to solutions based on extra filters or an increased switching frequency, which inevitably increases the system costs and losses. This paper presents a new approach for the online estimation of stator and rotor resistance of induction motors for speed sensorless vector-controlled drives, using feed-forward artificial neural networks with advanced adaptive learning rates. For the rotor resistance estimation, a neural network model based on rotor speed and stator currents is developed. The rotor flux linkages acquired from the voltage model are compared with the neural network model. The feed-forward neural network employs an adaptive learning rate as the function of the obtained error during training for quick convergence with minimal estimation error. A two-layered neural network model based on the stator voltage and current equations is developed for the stator resistance estimation. The d-q axes stator currents obtained from the developed model are compared with the acquired d-q axes stator currents. For the fast convergence with minimal estimation error, an adaptive learning rate as the function of error is adopted during training. Furthermore, the neural network estimates the induction motor's speed. The simulation and experimental results justify that the developed algorithms track variation in the resistances quickly and precisely along with the speed as compared with the conventional constant learning rate algorithm, leading to reliable operation of the drive. With the rapidly evolving geo-political landscape and unceasing advancements in technology, sustainable energy security is a very important topic. Research indicates that electrochemical energy systems are quite promising to solve many of energy conversion, storage, and conservation challenges while offering high efficiencies and low pollution. The paper provides an overview of electrochemical energy devices and the various optimization techniques used to evaluate them. The optimization techniques include linear regression, factorial design, the Taguchi method, artificial neural networks, filters, and a combination of such methods to improve these systems. To support the growing interest in research, the bulk of this study focuses on a review of the most promising and highly researched electrochemical energy devices, such as fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors. The paper also provides modest commentary on hydrogen production technologies, electrochemical reactors, and membrane separation technologies, amongst other technologies. Building on a previous paper by the authors of this paper on artificial intelligence in hybrid renewable energy systems with fuel cells, this work provides a comparative review of optimization techniques for supercapacitors by highlighting key findings based on model accuracy. A summary of the advantages and disadvantages of the different major optimization techniques is presented. The paper concludes that a combination of optimization techniques is used to overcome the drawbacks of individual techniques, with adaptive filters being the most widely studied. The reliability of thimble tubes plays a critical role for maintaining the safety of a nuclear power plant. The defect depth needs to be quantified and predicted to support the operational decision-making. This paper presents a method to quantify the defects on thimble tube wall based on the analyzation of eddy current testing (ECT) data. Then, a method using artificial neural network (ANN) to predict the detect depth is studied. The tubes are divided into 2 shapes and four regions according to their positions and the data of each region and each shape is expanded by mean interpolation. A prediction model based on ANN is constructed for each shape in each region. The experimental results show that the model can predict the signal of the next year according to the signal of the previous three years with mean absolute percentage error less than 16%. Solar power generation forecasting plays a vital role in optimizing grid management and stability, particularly in renewable energy-integrated power systems. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on solar power generation forecasting, evaluating traditional and advanced machine learning methods, including ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing, Support Vector Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Physics-based Models. Moreover, we propose an innovative Enhanced Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model, which incorporates Weather Modulation and Leveraging Prior Forecasts to enhance prediction accuracy. The proposed model is evaluated using real-world solar power generation data, and the results demonstrate its superior performance compared to traditional methods and other machine learning approaches. The Enhanced ANN model achieves an impressive Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.116 and a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 36.26%. Interline dynamic voltage restorer is used in the proposed system for mitigating voltage sag, swell, harmonics, and interruptions. The conventional topology of dynamic voltage restorer possessing voltage source inverter is modified into a switched coupled inductor inverter which has the clear edge in power transfer over the former one. The versatility of the controller is enhanced in this work by deploying an artificial neural network combined discrete wavelet transform. Springback is one of the factors that causes decreased product quality in tube bending; 2D and 3D stretch bending can be used to manufacture a complex geometry of a tube with springback reduction. For a nonlinear springback problem in tube bending, an artificial neural network (ANN) is an attractive data-driven approach to achieving springback prediction and control. The main objective of this paper is to control springback and improve geometrical quality with an ANN in 2D and 3D stretch bending of a rectangular tube. In general, an ANN is trained with collected data sets from a large number of experiments, causing expensive costs and time-consuming work. In the present work, the training data sets for the proposed ANN are obtained from both experiments and an analytical springback model. As the analytical model can adopt different bending angles, material properties, and geometries, supplementary data by the analytical model significantly reduced the number of experiments needed for ANN training. Contrary to the typical springback predictions, the proposed ANN synthesizes the machine settings based on the desired dimensions as the inputs. It is shown that springback can be controlled by specifying the bend angles provided by the ANN prediction. The proposed ANN method was validated in 2D and 3D stretch bending of a rectangular tube, and its prediction and control performance are favorably compared to an ANN trained with only experimental data sets. This paper presents a novel approach to estimating short-term production of wind farms, which are made up of numerous turbine generators. It harnesses the power of big data through a blend of data-driven and model-based methods. Specifically, it combines an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for immediate future predictions of wind turbine power output with a stochastic model for dependability, using Hybrid Reliability Block Diagrams. A thorough state-of-the-art review has been conducted in order to demonstrate the applicability of an ANN for non-linear stochastic problems of energy or power forecast estimation. The study leverages an innovative cluster analysis to group wind turbines and reduce the computational effort of the ANN, with a dependability model that improves the accuracy of the data-driven output estimation. Therefore, the main novelty is the employment of a hybrid model that combines an ANN with a dependability stochastic model that accounts for the realistic operational scenarios of wind turbines, including their susceptibility to random shutdowns This approach marks a significant advancement in the field, introducing a methodology which can aid the design and the power production forecast. All-optical plasmonic switches (AOPSs) utilizing surface plasmon polaritons are well-suited for integration into photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and play a crucial role in advancing all-optical signal processing. The current AOPS design methods still rely on trial-and-error or empirical approaches. In contrast, recent deep learning (DL) advances have proven highly effective as computational tools, offering an alternative means to accelerate nanophotonics simulations. This paper proposes an innovative approach utilizing DL for spectrum prediction and inverse design of AOPS. The switches employ circular nonlinear plasmonic ring resonators (NPRRs) composed of interconnected metal–insulator–metal waveguides with a ring resonator. The NPRR switching performance is shown using the nonlinear Kerr effect. The forward model presented in this study demonstrates superior computational efficiency when compared to the finite-difference time-domain method. The model analyzes various structural parameters to predict transmission spectra with a distinctive dip. Inverse modeling enables the prediction of design parameters for desired transmission spectra. This model provides a rapid estimation of design parameters, offering a clear advantage over time-intensive conventional optimization approaches. The loss of prediction for both the forward and inverse models, when compared to simulations, is exceedingly low and on the order of 10−4. Variable selection is one of the most important contents of machine learning research and a large number of variable selection methods have been proposed at present. From deep learning perspective, we propose a new variable selection method based on multi-layer artificial neural networks in this paper. The method propagates errors gained form a trained network model through the network from output layer to input layer and the values gained by input layer give information about the relative contribution. The variables with big contribution value are selected, which we call neural inverse propagation (NIP). Specifically, after training a neural network, the gained errors between the actual network outputs and the desired outputs go through the network from top to down and arrive at the input layer. The absolute values gained by input units provide information about the relative importance (contribution) of input units, which is that the larger the value is, the more important the corresponding input variable is. We remove k variables corresponding to the first k minimum absolute value gained by input units to the predictive variables, to perform variable selection. The efficiency of the proposed method is illustrated through its application to classification and regression tasks on a number of synthetic datasets and a real-world image classification dataset. The efficiency of the parabolic dish concentrator system is primarily affected by the geometrical parameters of the receiver. To understand these effects, optical and thermal analysis of a cylindrical-hemispherical cavity receiver is carried out in this paper. The optical efficiency of the receiver is evaluated for varying receiver height (h ) from 0.135 to 0.165 m and coil tube diameter ( d t ) from 0.009 to 0.012 m using the Monte Carlo Ray Tracing Method, and it is found that the optical efficiency is achieved to be 92.87% for the receiver having tube diameter of 0.012 m with height of 0.145 m. Thermal analysis of the receiver is also carried out to estimate the heat loss in both natural and forced convection modes using numerical modeling. The heat losses are analyzed for varying factors like receiver orientation (γ = 0º to 90º), wind velocity (V = 0 to 6 m s−1) and receiver temperature (T = 600 and 700 K) with head-on wind and back-on wind directions. The results illustrate that the heat loss from the receiver is high at γ = 60º for head-on wind direction; and for back-on wind direction, this is high at γ = 90º. On the other hand, the minimum heat loss is observed at γ = 30º for both directions of wind. Artificial Neural Network is also applied to estimate the convective heat loss from the receiver. The advancement of industrial technology is the main driving force for improving the total factor productivity of the industrial industry. In response to the above-mentioned problems, this paper analyzed the relationship between industrial technology and industrial output in the new normal environment by using the BP neural network (BPNN) algorithm. The connection between the two has been found, which provided a clear direction for the functional adjustment of economic law. Experimental studies have shown that there is a positive relationship between industrial technological progress and industrial output. When other conditions are the same, and when the non-new normal is selected, industrial output increases by about 0.36% for every 1% increase in industrial technological progress. When choosing to be in the new normal, industrial technological progress has a higher impact on industrial output. Recently, efficient techniques to remove indium ions from e-waste have been described due to their critical application. This paper illustrates the recovery of indium ions from an aqueous solution using a liquid membrane. CyphosIL 104 described the excellent potential for the extraction of indium ions. Evaluation of the five process parameters, such as indium concentration (10–100 mg/L), carrier concentration (0.05–0.2 mol/L), feed phase acidity (0.01–3 mol/L), chloride ion concentration (0.5–4 mol/L) and the stripping agent concentration (0.1–5 mol/L) were conducted. The interactive impacts of the various parameters on the extraction efficiency were investigated. The response surface methodology (RSM) and artificial neural network (ANN) were employed to model and compare the FS-SLM process results. RSM model with a quadratic equation (R2 = 0.9589) was the most suitable model for describing the efficiency. ANN model with six neurons showed a prediction of extraction efficiency with R2 = 0.9860. The best-optimized data were: 73.92 mg/L, 0.157 mol/L, 1.386 mol/L, 2.99 mol/L, and 3.06 mol/L for indium concentration, carrier concentration, feed phase acidity, chloride ion concentration, and stripping agent concentration. The results achieved by RSM and ANN led to an experimentally determined extraction efficiency of 93.91%, and 94.85%, respectively. It was close to the experimental data in the optimization condition (95.77%). Organizations managing high-performance computing systems face a multitude of challenges, including overarching concerns such as overall energy consumption, microprocessor clock frequency limitations, and the escalating costs associated with chip production. Evidently, processor speeds have plateaued over the last decade, persisting within the range of 2 GHz to 5 GHz. Scholars assert that brain-inspired computing holds substantial promise for mitigating these challenges. The spiking neural network (SNN) particularly stands out for its commendable power efficiency when juxtaposed with conventional design paradigms. Nevertheless, our scrutiny has brought to light several pivotal challenges impeding the seamless implementation of large-scale neural networks (NNs) on silicon. These challenges encompass the absence of automated tools, the need for multifaceted domain expertise, and the inadequacy of existing algorithms to efficiently partition and place extensive SNN computations onto hardware infrastructure. In this paper, we posit the development of an automated tool flow capable of transmuting any NN into an SNN. This undertaking involves the creation of a novel graph-partitioning algorithm designed to strategically place SNNs on a network-on-chip (NoC), thereby paving the way for future energy-efficient and high-performance computing paradigms. The presented methodology showcases its effectiveness by successfully transforming ANN architectures into SNNs with a marginal average error penalty of merely 2.65%. The proposed graph-partitioning algorithm enables a 14.22% decrease in inter-synaptic communication and an 87.58% reduction in intra-synaptic communication, on average, underscoring the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in optimizing NN communication pathways. Compared to a baseline graph-partitioning algorithm, the proposed approach exhibits an average decrease of 79.74% in latency and a 14.67% reduction in energy consumption. In this paper, a methodical strategy is put forth for the development of models for chemical processes by using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN). To show the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, three industrial chemical processes were considered. The intended work is to introduce the guideline for designing any ANN model by identifying the optimum number of neurons and hidden layers and coming up with the most suitable architecture for the neural network. The effect of viable parameters on predicting the specified parameter was evaluated using an ANN model. A systematic procedure adopted, ANN networks were designed to predict the boiler efficiency, frost thermal conductivity, and gas holdup under different operating conditions. At last, a comparative study on the experimental output and ANN approximated output for the three chemical processes was done. For developing the ANN model for boiler and frost conductivity, it was found that employing two layers provided a superior fit. The R² values for these fits were found to be 0.98877 and 0.9891, respectively. On the other hand, when configuring the column flotation model, a single layer with nine nodes was identified as the optimal ANN structure, yielding an excellent R² fit value of 0.99337. One of the most challenging problems in cloud datacenters is the degradation of performance and energy efficiency due to the overutilization of hosts and their exposition to excessive workload. Virtual machine (VM) consolidation and migration from one host to another are strategies that have been proven to successfully bring about performance improvements and energy efficiency. These schemes help in energy optimization by moving VMs experiencing difficulty functioning on an overloaded host to another host. Similarly, by migrating VMs from an underloaded host and consolidating them, unnecessary resources have a chance to be shut down. This makes clear why the accurate detection of overloaded and underloaded hosts is of fundamental importance when energy consumption, quality of services, and service level agreements are targeted. In this paper, an energy-aware QoS-based consolidation algorithm is proposed to dynamically manage VMs in cloud datacenters. The proposed algorithm applies reinforcement learning and artificial neural networks. The first method is used to select a suitable VM for migration, while the latter helps to predict the future state of hosts and detect overloaded and underloaded hosts. We simulated the proposed algorithm using the CloudSim framework and compared it to the baselines and state-of-the-art algorithms. Numerous data centers have adopted heterogeneous computing server to accelerate the processing speed with various applications. However, as the growth of efficiency, the issue of high power consumption is increasingly becoming crucial. Traditional researchers focus on the developing strategies for power efficiency that neglects the importance of power prediction that substantially impacts on energy planning on data center. Different to the previous work, this paper utilizes the advantage of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to design and implement an improved algorithm of power consumption prediction on heterogeneous computing server with various types of jobs. First, the impact of multi-type of jobs has been taken into account, i.e., CPU-intensive, memory-intensive, I/O-intensive and GPU-intensive. We collect the data trace from these jobs by a set of benchmarks. Then, based on the collected data trace, power prediction algorithm has been established, so that developing an improved ANN-based power consumption prediction algorithm with CNN-BiLSTM neural network and attention mechanism. Specifically, one dimensional CNN is utilized to perform local feature extraction and dimension reduction on the input, the BiLSTM network is adopted to extract high-level features from the above results. The miscellaneous features extracted are filtered out by using attention mechanism. Last, the experiment has been conducted, and the peculiarity for four types of jobs has been discussed. Hydrogen purification from steam methane reforming (SMR) by pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology is a common method to obtain high-purity hydrogen. The breakthrough time can well reflect the adsorption dynamics and help PSA cycle design. In order to avoid time-consuming and labor-intensive breakthrough curve experiments, it is very necessary to develop a fast and accurate surrogate model. In this study, a genetic algorithm (GA) and artificial neural network (ANN) are combined to predict and optimize breakthrough times of adsorbates in activated carbon/zeolite layered beds. Using the Latin hypercube sampling strategy, training data sets of GA-optimized ANN (GA-ANN) obtains from the physical model of adsorption, heat and mass transfer model. The genetic algorithm (GA) optimizes the weights and biases of ANN for better performance. The ANN topology has 4 input variables (superficial velocity, activated carbon height, adsorption pressure and feed temperature) and 3 output variables (breakthrough times of CH 4 , CO and CO 2). The number of neurons in the hidden layer for the GA-ANN model was optimized as 7 to predict and optimize the maximum breakthrough time of SMR with a four-component (H 2 /CH 4 /CO/CO 2) system. The sensitivity analysis displays that relative importance to the breakthrough time is in the order of superficial velocity (40.88%) > adsorption pressure (24.55%) > activated carbon height (21.04%) > feed temperature (13.53%). To obtain high-purity hydrogen, the GA-ANN model combined with multi-objective GA optimization is used to maximize the breakthrough times of CH 4 and CO. The manufacturing processes and design of metal and alloy products can be performed over a wide range of strain rates and temperatures. To design and optimize these processes using computational mechanics tools, the selection and calibration of the constitutive models is critical. In the case of hazardous and explosive impact loads, it is not always possible to test material properties. For this purpose, this paper assesses the efficiency and the accuracy of different architectures of ANNs for the identification of the Johnson–Cook material model parameters. The implemented computational tool of an ANN-based parameter identification strategy provides adequate results in a range of strain rates required for general manufacturing and product design applications. Four ANN architectures are studied to find the most suitable configuration for a reduced amount of experimental data, particularly for cases where high-impact testing is constrained. The different ANN structures are evaluated based on the model's predictive capability, revealing that the perceptron-based network of 66 inputs and one hidden layer of 30 neurons provides the highest prediction accuracy of the effective flow stress–strain behavior of Ti64 alloy and three virtual materials. Structures made of heterogeneous materials, such as composites, often require a multiscale approach when their behavior is simulated using the finite element method. By solving the boundary value problem of the macroscale model, for previously homogenized material properties, the resulting stress maps can be obtained. However, such stress results do not describe the actual behavior of the material and are often significantly different from the actual stresses in the heterogeneous microstructure. Finding high-accuracy stress results for such materials leads to time-consuming analyses in both scales. This paper focuses on the application of machine learning to multiscale analysis of structures made of composite materials, to substantially decrease the time of computations of such localization problems. The presented methodology was validated by a numerical example where a structure made of resin epoxy with randomly distributed short glass fibers was analyzed using a computational multiscale approach. BACKGROUND: Milling operations of laminae in spinal surgery generate high temperatures, which can lead to thermal injury and osteonecrosis and affect the biomechanical effects of implants, ultimately leading to surgical failure. OBJECTIVE: In this paper, a backpropagation artificial neural network (Bp-ANN) temperature prediction model was developed based on full factorial experimental data of laminae milling to optimize the milling motion parameters and to improve the safety of robot-assisted spine surgery. METHODS: A full factorial experiment design were used to analyze the parameters affecting the milling temperature of laminae. The experimental matrixes were established by collecting the corresponding cutter temperature T c and bone surface temperature T b for the milling depth, feed speed and different bone densities. The Bp-ANN lamina milling temperature prediction model was constructed from experiment data. RESULTS: Increasing milling depth increases bone surface and cutter temperature. Increasing feed speed had little effect on cutter temperature, but decreased bone surface temperature. Increasing bone density of laminae increased cutter temperature. The Bp-ANN temperature prediction model had best training results in the 10th epoch, and there is no overfitting (training set R = 0.99661, validation set R = 0.85003, testing set R = 0.90421, all temperature data set R = 0.93807). The goodness of fit R of Bp-ANN was close to 1, indicating that the predicted temperature was in good agreement with the experiment measurements. Pavement engineering has always relied on asphalt concrete as the primary material. As a result, increasing the quality of asphalt concrete for greater performance and longer durability has remained a focus of research. The present paper aims to assess the potential of soft computing-based models, such as Artificial neural networks, Support vector machines, Gaussian process, M5P tree, Random forest, and Random tree-based models, used for the prediction of Marshall Stability of carbon–fiber asphalt mix. Five different statistical indices are used to evaluate the performance of each model with different input variables, such as Bitumen content (BC), Carbon fiber (CF), Bitumen grade (VG), Fiber length (FL), and Fiber diameter (FD), Specific gravity coarse aggregate (SG(CA)), Water absorption coarse aggregate (WA(CA)) and Specific Gravity of bitumen (SG(B)), to get the Marshall Stability (MS) as an output. Five statistical indices were used to assess the effectiveness of the applied models i.e., Coefficient of correlation (CC), Mean absolute error (MAE), Root mean square error (RMSE), Relative absolute error (RAE) and Root relative squared error (RRSE). According to performance evaluation results, it has been found that the ANN-based model has outperformed all the applied models for predicting the Marshall Stability of asphalt concrete using carbon fiber with CC value as 0.9287 and 0.9126, R2 value as 0.8624 and 0.8328, MAE value as 1.7527 and 1.8702, RMSE value as 2.3305 and 2.4438, RAE value as 32.51 and 39.64% and RRSE values as 37.30 and 43.59% for both the training and testing stages respectively. Taylor's diagram suggests that the ANN model outperforms the other applied models. Sensitivity analysis shows that the bitumen content (BC) is the more sensitive parameter in the carbon–fiber asphalt mix. Furthermore, carbon fiber is comparable to the sensitivity of the bitumen content which shows the significance of the carbon fiber in the asphalt mix in predicting the Marshall Stability. Data security concerns safeguarding the data from unauthorized users. Numerous research works have been conducted using Reversible Data Hiding (RDH) technique, but not been found to be fooproof. In this paper, a novel reversible data hiding method, based on an Artificial Neural Network, called Histogram Transpose and Naor Pseduorandom Arnold (HT-NPA) data security system for handling health care reports and securely transferring patient information, is proposed to evaluate the embedding capacity, improve the visual quality of the recovered image and ensure security via duplex scramble. This entire process is performed by means of an Artificial Neural Network (i.e. multilayer perceptron). The experimental results reveal that the HT-NPA performs better with 29%, 16%, 19%, and 9% improvement in embedding rate, PSNR, SSIM, entropy, and NPCR, and 26% reduction of bit error rate, respectively for retrieved medical images compared to existing works. Atmospheric drag stands out as the predominant non-gravitational force acting on satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), with altitudes below 2000 km. This drag exhibits a strong dependence on the thermospheric mass density (TMD), a parameter of vital significance in the realms of orbit determination, prediction, collision avoidance, and re-entry forecasting. A multitude of empirical TMD models have been developed, incorporating contemporary data sources, including TMD measurements obtained through onboard accelerometers on LEO satellites. This paper delves into three different TMD modelling techniques, specifically, Fourier series, spherical harmonics, and artificial neural networks (ANNs), during periods of geomagnetic quiescence. The TMD data utilised for modelling and evaluation are derived from three distinct LEO satellites: GOCE (at an altitude of approximately 250 km), CHAMP (around 400 km), and GRACE (around 500 km), spanning the years 2002 to 2013. The consistent utilisation of these TMD data sets allows for a clear performance assessment of the different modelling approaches. Subsequent research will shift its focus to TMD modelling during geomagnetic disturbances, while the present work can serve as a foundation for disentangling TMD variations stemming from geomagnetic activity. Furthermore, this study undertakes precise TMD modelling during geomagnetic quiescence using data obtained from the GRACE (at an altitude of approximately 500 km), CHAMP (around 400 km), and GOCE (roughly 250 km) satellites, covering the period from 2002 to 2013. It employs three distinct methods, namely Fourier analysis, spherical harmonics (SH) analysis, and the artificial neural network (ANN) technique, which are subsequently compared to identify the most suitable methodology for TMD modelling. Additionally, various combinations of time and coordinate representations are scrutinised within the context of TMD modelling. Our results show that the precision of low-order Fourier-based models can be enhanced by up to 10 % through the utilisation of geocentric solar magnetic coordinates. Both the Fourier- and SH-based models exhibit limitations in approximating the vertical gradient of TMD. Multiphase flow has many applications, such as oil and gas industries. Flow meter devices must be calibrated with field or laboratory data. One of the best methods to calibrate the devices and determine flow parameters is artificial neural networks. In addition, due to development of multiphase flow sensors and computer systems, artificial neural networks are employed to determine the flow regime and phase volume fractions along the pipeline. Up until now, different methods of measurement such as flow pressure signal, radioactive, ultrasonic, impedance, and their combination with neural networks have been presented. In this paper, a review of these works is performed. The type of neural network, measurement method, neural network inputs and development of each method are investigated. Studies show that the use of the gamma-ray method is the most prevalent among the papers presented. Also, examining the flow regime detection and flow rate measurement over time has moved to the use of flow parameters, including pressure, temperature, velocity, viscosity, etc. This simple method (using flow parameters) has the potential to gradually replace more advanced techniques like ultrasonic and electrical, along with expensive techniques like gamma ray. The results of this review indicate that employing intricate neural networks with many layers and neurons slightly increases the accuracy of the results. The paper introduces a deep learning (DL) model as an alternative approach to predict the supercontinuum generation in waveguides. The traditional technique of using the numerical method for this task is computationally laborious and time-consuming. The Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model described in the paper is trained from scratch and demonstrates high precision in predicting the spectral bandwidth of supercontinuum phenomena. It achieves a mean squared error of 0.0032, which indicates its ability to accurately map the optical characteristics of the waveguide. Furthermore, the deep learning model significantly reduces the computational time required compared to simulative processes conducted in COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB software, approximately taking only 50% of the time. By leveraging deep learning techniques, the model offers a promising alternative to the numerical method for predicting supercontinuum generation in planar waveguides. Breast cancer is one of the serious diseases that threaten the life of many women worldwide. The seriousness of this disease is that it is often discovered in late stages after a period of its occurrence. This causes a wide spread of the disease and difficulty in its treatment. Another important characteristic of this disease is that it can return again after a period of its treatment. Therefore, predicting the occurrence or recurrence of such disease early is the best solution to have a high cure rate. The main objective of this paper is to improve the prediction performance of the breast cancer recurrence. Many methods have been proposed to predict breast cancer recurrence. However, these methods did not achieve the desired results on one of the most famous datasets in the field of breast cancer recurrence's prediction (i.e., Wisconsin Prognosis Breast Cancer (WPBC) dataset). The highest accuracy achieved using the previous methods is 89.89%. Therefore, this paper provides a framework for improving the prediction of breast cancer recurrence. The proposed framework has the ability to overcome many of the challenges in the existing dataset such as: (a) the problem of imbalance between classes using a data over-sampling technique; and (b) the large number of data dimensions using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and a wrapper dimensionality reduction technique based on Genetic Algorithm (GA). It also uses the neural network algorithm to fuse the results of two individual classifiers (i.e., Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM)). Our proposed framework evaluation showed a significant improvement in the predication performance. This paper introduces an innovative decision support system for improving ship energy efficiency. It combines an engine optimization model and an artificial neural network (ANN). Real-time data regarding the ship and engine performance is obtained along a specific ship navigation, and an engine optimization model is built using Ricardo Wave software. This model is validated with high accuracy. Ship-specific parameters are derived, and fuel consumption is estimated using ANN models with different structures. The study identifies the most suitable ANN model with 1 hidden layer and 5 neurons based on error metric evaluation where the 0.99697 R2, 0.00035 RMSE, and 0.06470 MAPE scores are calculated. This approach offers a cost-effective solution for shipping companies to monitor critical engine parameters in real-time without investing in sensors or data collection systems. Thus, it contributes to dealing with the problem of the scarcity of analyzable data in the maritime literature, which is one of the significant issues in the papers related to energy efficiency, machine learning, and deep learning. This paper provides a comprehensive critical review, primarily focusing on the two most prevalent machine learning algorithms: artificial neural networks and random forests. • This paper suggests a grating Moiré fringe-based error correction approach that uses an artificial neural network (ANN) and the quartile method (QM). • The approach uses QM for data cleaning operations to eliminate outliers and creates the ANN model with a structure of fully connected layer-normalization layer-fully connected layer for regression training in order to achieve lightweight and stability. • The proposed QM-ANN error correction model's mean absolute error (MAE) can reach 3.3 nm once the QM data has been cleaned and the ANN model has been trained. Many interference factors of the complex and changeable working environment of the grating sensor are the main factors affecting the accuracy; a grating Moiré fringe error correction model based on the quartile method (QM) and artificial neural network (ANN) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the grating sensor's signals in the working process are collected, and three kinds of interference signals (temperature, humidity and vibration) from the grating sensor working environment are collected simultaneously. Secondly, the QM is used to detect outliers from the collected data and delete data outliers directly. Subsequently, the processed data are input into the ANN model for training. The model is lightweight and stable, because it adopts the cascaded structure of full connection layer-normalization layer-full connection layer, which does not need deploy the complex convolution layer module etc. Finally, the corrected data are output after being processed by the QM-ANN error correction model. The experimental results show that the mean absolute error (MAE) of the proposed QM-ANN error correction model is better than QM-convolutional neural network (CNN), QM-long short-term memory (LSTM) and ANN, CNN, LSTM models without QM.
