Advances in Entrepreneurship, Firm Emergence and Growth provides an annual examination of the major current research, theoretical and methodological efforts in the field of entrepreneurship and its related disciplines, including firm emergence and growth research. The Advances series also publishes papers from other fields, such as strategy, organizational behavior or sociology, that use entrepreneurial samples or make a contribution to entrepreneurial theory or research. It is a key source of articles-of-record for major concepts in the discipline of entrepreneurship. Volume 20, Reflections and Extensions on Key Papers of the First Twenty-Five Years of Advances, is the first in a two volume collection that celebrates the series'anniversary and embodies the idea of'past as prologue.'This first volume showcases some of the most important and well-cited papers from the series including works by Dean Shepherd, Zach Zacharakis, and Connie Marie Gaglio. In this special issue of Research in Finance, editors Rita Biswas and Michael Michaelides compile eleven papers, five of which were selected from the II International Conference on Economics and Finance (ICEF-II) in Bengaluru, India. This volume focuses on a gamut of topics ranging from monetary policy to corporate governance in emerging economies. Research in the History of Economic Thought and Methodology Volume 41B features a selection of papers presented at the First History of Economics Diversity Caucus Conference, new research essays from Roger Sandilands and co-authors Daniel Schiffman and Eli Goldstein, as well as an interview of Francis Wilson conducted by Phil Magness and Micha Gartz.

In April 2018 more than 150 researchers from 16 different countries convened at MIT for the second SCALE Latin American Conference on Supply Chain Management and Logistics (SCM&L). Volume 39A of Research in the History of Economic Thought and Methodology features a selection of essays presented at the 2019 Conference of the Latin American Society for the History of Economic Thought (ALAHPE), edited by Felipe Almeida and Carlos Eduardo Suprinyak, as well as a new general-research essay by Daniel Kuehn, an archival discovery by Katia Caldari and Luca Fiorito, and a book review by John Hall.

Volume 46 of Advances in Econometrics presents essays in honor of Subhal Kumbhakar. Advances in Accounting Education: Teaching and Curriculum Innovations publishes both non-empirical and empirical articles dealing with accounting education. All articles emphasize teaching, learning and curriculum development, and discuss vital matters pertaining to the improvement of accounting programs at colleges and universities. Non-empirical papers are academically rigorous, and specifically discuss the institutional context of a course or program, as well as any relevant tradeoffs or policy issues. Empirical reports exhibit sound research design and execution, and develop a thorough motivation and literature review, including references from outside the accounting field, where appropriate. This 27th volume features 11 peer-reviewed papers surrounding three themes: (1) applied professional research and skills building; (2) generative artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics in the accounting curriculum; and (3) innovative practices in cost accounting and other areas. Faculty with an interest in accounting education as well as accounting program administrators should find all three themes to be highly informative and interesting. Some practitioners and regulators in the accounting profession may also find useful policy-related nuggets in Volume 27.

Volume 27 of Advances in Industrial and Labor Relations (AILR) contains five peer-reviewed papers highlighting key aspects of employment relations across a variety of disciplinary perspectives. These papers feature historical and legal analyses of work regulation, intra-organizational analysis of employee development and entry-level hiring decisions, prospects for unionization and other forms of collective association in gig economy companies, and analysis of on-line versus in-person mediation of employment disputes involving allegations of discrimination. As with prior AILR volumes, the papers in Volume 27 display a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods. These range from primary research methods such as case studies, survey, interviews, and historiography to longitudinal and cross-sectional empirical studies and theory building.

Research on Economic Inequality is a well-established publication of quality research. This 30th volume features insightful and original papers from the 9th Society for the Study of Economic Inequality (ECINEQ) meeting. Mobility and Inequality Trends begins by illustrating the trajectory of income inequality in the world over the course of recent decades before the second paper makes a crucial distinction between ‘bad'inequality, which is detrimental to society, and ‘good'inequality, which is beneficial. Advances in Global Leadership collects insights from leading scholars and practitioners and fresh ideas from promising newcomers to the field. As in Volume 13, we begin by focusing on global leadership in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic. Volume 14 is introduced with a tour-de-force analysis by twenty authors on the cross-cultural differences reflected in nineteen national responses to the global crisis. The resulting overarching lessons offer useful guidance to leaders grappling with the pandemic and beyond. Advances in Group Processes publishes theoretical analyses, reviews, and theory based empirical chapters on group phenomena. The series adopts a broad conception of “group processes.” This includes work on groups ranging from the very small to the very large, and on classic and contemporary topics such as status, power, trust, justice, social influence, identity, decision-making, intergroup relations, and social networks. Previous contributors have included scholars from diverse fields including sociology, psychology, political science, economics, business, philosophy, computer science, mathematics, and organizational behavior. Volume 39 brings together papers related to a variety of topics in small groups and organizational research. The volume includes papers that address theoretical and empirical issues related to gendered group processes as well as to the role of networks and exchange in creating fairness perceptions, legitimacy, and reactions to identity non-verification. This next volume in Research in the Sociology of Health Care covers a variety of important social factors and their relationship to health and health care inequities both in the United States and the rest of the world. The authors of this volume explore issues related to infectious diseases and various chronic health problems. One section focuses on Covid 19 and issues of kidney disease, face masks and social values, pandemic experiences in rural parts of the United States, and in urban India. This 26th volume of Research in Ethical Issues in Organizations is a selection of papers from the 27th Annual Conference of the Australian Association of Professional and Applied Ethics with the theme ‘Who's watching? Surveillance, big data and applied ethics in the digital age.'The papers in this volume critically engage with contemporary issues surrounding big data and surveillance, particularly in relation to large institutions, including corporations and government agencies. Special focus is put on the ethical issues concerning the collection and use of big data sets. Experiments. Law. Economics. Those three words taken by themselves encompass vast parts of the human intellectual experience. Even when we link them together as Experimental Law and Economics, we see a large and diverse body of inquiry over the last half century. This 21st volume of Research in Experimental Economics focuses on experimental and empirical investigations into topics about both the economic effects of the law and how economic theories can explain the behavior of individuals within a legal system. The papers in this volume follow two long-standing traditions. Firstly, the tradition of experimental methodology that allows one to test the potential impacts of alternate institutional arrangements. Secondly, a subset of the papers in this volume, in addition to exploring institutional change, follow the tradition in experimental economics of replication and robustness studies. Illuminating three key areas, by summarizing mechanisms to facilitate the assembly of property rights, exploring legal procedure, and replicating classic market experiments using more recent experimental methods to understand how different market rules affect market outcomes, each of these papers contributes to one of the broader areas within experimental law and economics.

This volume brings together researchers from a diverse array of academic disciplines – including sociology, organization theory, strategy and psychology – to address the question of what organizations can do to better recognize novel ideas and support their proponents in implementing those ideas. The contributors draw from different theoretical perspectives and empirical papers use both qualitative and/or quantitative methods in their analysis.
