Abstract
Relying on a 1997 community study performed by San Diego State University researchers studying the impact of talk radio on information and misinformation levels, this study uses OLS regression to test the hypothesis that misinformation behaves similarly to information in regards to political participation. Our findings confirm a positive relationship between high levels of misinformation and participation in a multivariate analysis. We think this is evidence of a possible misinformation problem and conclude that more research on the subject is warranted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
