Domestic violence against women, questions in a new way, the historicity of theory in its social, cultural, and political definitions. A common understanding of the causes of domestic violence can help communities develop more effective responses to the violence; such an understanding helps to avoid conflicting responses that could undermine efforts to protect victims and hold batterers accountable. This research paper tries to highlight the link between domestic violence that occurred to women during the COVID-19 lockdown, tries to expose the main reason for the increase of domestic violence against women these days, and increase in domestic violence will lead to the social and economic crisis. The data for this research was collected from the secondary data source through statistical reports regarding domestic violence against women during COVID-19, the reason behind the increase of violence and the nature of domestic violence against women across the world will be discussed in this paper.
