The article discusses the newspaper "Borba" (The Struggle) launched in Toronto, Ontario, for South Slavic immigrant workers in Canada on November 1, 1931 by the Slavic Bureau created by the Communist Party of Canada (CPC). Focus is given to Croatian-born Marko P. Hećimović, a miner from Anyox, British Columbia, and his reminiscences about being involved with the newspaper, before and after its launch, which were published in the Toronto newspaper "Slobodna misao" (Free Thought) in 1939.
