The teacher academic performance evaluation is a way of increasing the quality of teaching at the university and an important source to carry out this process is the student's criteria. The aim of this paper was to analyze the evaluation of the academic competencyof a teacher, using the student's perceptions, through a Research Methodology course that was thought as a part of the mastership in Spanish language and literature teaching taking place at Artemisa University, Cuba. To do so, a survey based on the academic competency indicators was used. The software “Coharentia" made possible to process the results of the survey.
