In the context of bank digitalization construction, this paper explores the impact and mechanism of bank digital transformation on corporate green innovation based on the data of listed enterprises from 2010 to 2021. It is found that bank digital transformation enhances the overall and strategic nature of corporate green innovation but has no significant impact on corporate substantive green innovation. The mechanism analysis shows that bank digital transformation can promote corporate green innovation by inhibiting corporate financialization and alleviating corporate financing constraints. Government environmental regulation and media attention have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between banks' digital transformation, and enterprises' green innovation, i.e., an increase in the level of government environmental regulation and an increase in media attention will strengthen the promotion effect of banks' digital transformation on enterprises' green innovation. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the promotion effect of banks' digital transformation on corporate green innovation is more significant for state- owned enterprises, heavily polluted enterprises, large-scale enterprises, and enterprises in the eastern region. Therefore, the digital transformation of banks can "empower" the green innovation of enterprises, help the green development of enterprises, and lead the high-quality development of the economy. China is facing a serious land resource mismatch problem, which will profoundly affect the acceleration of economic growth and technological innovation. Reform of the industrial land allocation system can solve the mismatch of land resources, and that also has an important impact on the promotion of economic and technological development. This paper selects the data of Chinese A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2020 as the research sample, constructs a double machine learning model, and empirically investigates the impact of a new industrial land use policy on firms' green innovation behavior. The study shows that: (1) the new industrial land use policy significantly promotes firms' substantive and strategic green technological innovation, and the effect on substantive green technological innovation is greater than that on strategic green technological innovation. (2) The enhancement of R&D investment sustainability and the "talent pool" effect are important mechanisms through which the new industrial land use policy influences firms' substantive and strategic green technological innovation. Meanwhile, the new industrial land use policy is conducive to firms' green coinnovation. (3) There is heterogeneity in the effect of the new industrial land use policy, which can significantly promote green technological innovation of firms in the eastern region, while it does not play a significant role in the green innovation behavior of firms in the central and western regions. The massive CO2 emission has caused frequent occurrence of climate problems, and a typical response to climate change has reached international consensus. Digital finance and green finance, as a subversion of the traditional financial model, have become significant drivers of global carbon emissions reduction efforts. Based on the panel data, this paper profoundly compares the effects of carbon emissions reduction, mechanisms, and heterogeneous results of two forms of finance. Research finds that technology-centered digital finance focuses on suppressing carbon emissions through technological innovation, and the higher the level of regional economic is, the stronger the role of digital finance in suppressing carbon emissions through technological innovation. The concept-centered green finance focuses on carbon emissions reduction through industrial ecologization, and government-led environmental regulation plays a positive regulatory role. Although the paths of affecting carbon emissions are different, there is a natural fit between the two in terms of the essential goal of carbon emissions reduction. Based on the consideration of the differences in geographic location and financial development level, the carbon emission reduction effects of two forms of finance show apparent heterogeneity. Based on the spatial characteristics of digital finance and carbon emissions, this paper further finds that the digital finance's carbon emission reduction effects have apparent spatial spillovers. Firstly, based on the data of 40 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2010 to 2019, the paper uses the Unexpected Super-SBM model to estimate the green innovation efficiency of each city. On this basis, the paper establishes a Geographically Weighted Regression model to explore the spatial-temporal heterogeneity of the effects of influencing factors on green innovation efficiency. The findings indicate that: The direction and strength of each influencing element on the green innovation efficiency of the Yangtze River Delta cities are varied at the urban spatial scale. The degree of opening up significantly boosts the green innovation efficiency, but the impact intensity shows spatial differences. The green innovation efficiency is promoted by government technology support, but its intensity tends to weaken. In addition, financial support has a negative impact on most cities. Over time, the impact of economic development level on urban green innovation efficiency has changed from inhibition to promotion, and the impact intensity tends to weaken. While economic development brings serious environmental problems, technological advances can effectively reduce pollution, which helps to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Although the impact of green technology innovation on atmospheric pollutants and carbon emissions has been extensively studied, the effect of such innovation on pollutant reduction varies due to the diverse regional distribution characteristics of different pollutants. Thus, this paper contributes to the literature by examining the influence of green technology innovation on water pollution from a regional perspective, with a particular emphasis on the pronounced clustering of wastewater pollution in China's coastal areas. Both Fixed-Effect model and spatial analysis are adopted. Our findings reveal a significant U-shaped relationship between technology innovation and water pollution, as measured by both industrial wastewater and the ratio of unprocessed sewage. Interestingly, this pollution reduction effect also exhibits a U-shaped spatial spillover. Given the rapid development of the digital economy, it can further amplify the spatial spillover effect of green innovation, especially in eastern regions. In the context of rapid advancement in automation and increasing global warming, understanding the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on carbon emissions (CES) is a cutting-edge research topic. However, there is limited focus in existing research on the nonlinear carbon reduction effect (CRE) of AI. This paper first theoretically elaborates the dual impact mechanisms of AI on CES and illuminates the nonlinear carbon reduction mechanisms of AI. Then, this study employs panel data encompassing 30 Chinese provinces between 1997 and 2019 to empirically test the net effect of AI on CES and the nonlinear carbon reduction effect of AI through econometric models. The results are as follows: first, although AI can both reduce and increase CES, AI primarily helps decrease CES. This conclusion holds true even after considering robustness, endogeneity, and spatial heterogeneity. Secondly, relative to the central and western regions, AI has significant achievement in reducing carbon intensity and per capita CES in the eastern region. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of reducing the total CES in the eastern region. Thirdly, improving the AI development level (AIDL) can magnify the marginal CRE of AI and lead to a nonlinear CRE of AI. Lastly, even if the AIDL remains constant, improving the level of marketization, human capital, digital infrastructure, economic development, openness, and government intervention can also amplify the marginal CRE of AI and lead to a nonlinear CRE of AI. To fully harness the potential of AI for green development, concerted efforts should be directed towards enhancing the innovation and application of AI technologies with carbon reduction potential. China is accelerating green and low-carbon transformation and promoting high-quality economic development. To effectively contribute to the improvement of global environmental quality and enhance enterprises' awareness of environmental responsibility in the process of outbound investment, China strongly advocates that enterprises should comply with the environmental protection laws and regulations of host countries and try to strengthen local environmental protection as investing abroad. However, inadequate attention has been paid to the factors influencing green preferences in corporate outbound investment. Therefore, using a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2008 to 2019, this paper aims to empirically analyze whether the quality of environmental information disclosure (QEID) affects enterprises' green preference of outbound investment (OIGP), and the influence mechanism of QEID on the enterprises' OIGP by analyzing the mediating effects of green technology innovation and media attention. It is found that QEID significantly promotes corporate OIGP. In terms of influence mechanism, QEID promotes firms' OIGP by restraining media attention, while the mediating role of green technology innovation in the effect of QEID on firms' OIGP is manifested as the masking effect. China's green financial pilot policies (GFPPs) are an important start to build a green financial system in China. It is also an important part of achieving the "dual-carbon" goal. This paper calculates China's total factor energy efficiency (TFEE), analyzes the impact of GFPPs on TFEE, and explores the conduction mechanism. The results show that the relationship between GFPPs and TFEE in the pilot areas is statistically significant. The GFPP mainly improves the TFEE through the green innovation effect and the optimization of the energy structure. The GFPP has a significant effect on TFEE enhancement in eastern coastal cities, non-old traditional industrial cities, and non-resource-based cities with high initial energy. China should continue to deepen the pilot work of green finance, formulate differentiated green finance policies, and ensure green technology innovation. Amidst global sustainability challenges, green finance emerges as a crucial instrument for advancing sustainable development, garnering increasing attention for its pivotal role in fostering high-quality economic development (HQED), particularly within the dynamic economic landscape of China. This study delves into the nexus between green finance and HQED across 30 Chinese provinces from 2012 to 2021. Employing the entropy method, indices for green finance and HQED index system are calculated, and their interaction is analyzed through a panel data model, incorporating tests for moderating effects of FinTech and green technological innovation, as well as assessing the heterogeneity across diverse regions. The findings highlight green finance's significant role in enhancing HQED, with notable regional disparities. Specifically, the eastern region shows the strongest impact, followed by the central region, while the western and northeastern regions exhibit weaker influences. The study also identifies FinTech and green technological innovation as pivotal moderators, amplifying green finance's positive effect on HQED. These insights underscore green finance's importance in driving sustainable economic growth and highlight the necessity for region-specific strategies to optimize its impact. With the continuous promotion of digitalization and the global trend toward a low-carbon economy, the issue of whether enterprises can enhance their carbon performance with the assistance of digital technology has aroused widespread attention from both academia and industry. In order to explore whether digital technology can improve the carbon performance of manufacturing enterprises, this study, based on resource orchestration theory and signaling theory, utilizes data from China's A-share manufacturing enterprises from 2012 to 2021 to empirically investigate the relationship between digital technology and the carbon performance of manufacturing firms. It also explores the mediating conduction path and boundary influencing factors between them. Its findings demonstrate that: digital technology is capable of improving carbon performance; green innovation (including green technology and green collaboration) has partially mediating effects; there is a catalytic role for environmental information disclosure in utilizing digital technology to enhance carbon performance. Building on this, we find that the impacts of digital technology, green innovation, and environmental information disclosure on carbon performance vary due to differences in the nature of industries and the strategic aggressiveness of enterprises. Specifically, the role of digital technology on carbon performance seems somewhat more pronounced among firms in the high-tech industry and those employing defensive and analytical strategies. Additionally, the effects generated by green innovation and environmental information are more pronounced in the hightech industry and among enterprises that adopt analytical strategies. Environmental information disclosure (EID) is integral to government environmental policies and corporate social responsibilities. The current research presents a theoretical model that analyses the connection between EID, green finance, and green technological innovation (GTI). The required data was collected through a structured questionnaire, and final data analysis was performed using 230 valid responses. Structural equation modeling (SEM) combined with artificial neural networks (ANN) is used in the present framework to analyze constructs' linear and non-linear relationships. The empirical analysis found that government EID significantly improved the value of green securities (GS) and green credit (GC), aided considerably by enterprises' openness about environmental practices. Green securities and GC are also used, which has a good impact on the development of GTI. Green financing is critical when linking environmental disclosure with green technologies in businesses. The results reveal the mediating role of GC and GS in the relationship between the two aspects of EIDs (EEID and GEID) and GTI, providing a new perspective on how EID influences GTI through financial mechanisms. Green innovation possesses dual externalities of "innovation" and "environmental protection", and enhancing energy efficiency serves as a crucial means to promote high-quality economic development. Building upon the energy rebound effect, we use the balanced panel data of cities at prefecture level and above in China from 2008 to 2018 to explore the impact of urban green innovation on total factor energy efficiency (TFEE). The findings of this study indicate that, firstly, the impact of green innovation on TFEE exhibits a positive U-shaped pattern, characterized by initial suppression followed by subsequent promotion. This conclusion remains robust after undergoing a series of rigorous robustness tests. Second, high-quality green innovation is found to reach the turning point more quickly, implying that substantial green innovation can cross the turning point in smaller quantities. Thirdly, on the whole, in comparison to non-resource-based cities, resource-based cities are capable of reaching the turning point at an earlier stage. Finally, the new energy demonstration cities have not yet reached the turning point, while the non-new energy demonstration cities have crossed the turning point. Sluggish status of green technology development has stimulated research into new incentives and pathways. Beyond the traditional regulatory-push and demand-pull approaches, we reposition the strength of the technology push. Based on the innovation diffusion theory, a multidimensional path model of knowledge spillover in universities is constructed, and the impact of heterogeneous knowledge spillover channels on green innovation activities of local firms is discussed. We find that R&D collaboration has a significant effect on local firms' quality but not the quantity of green innovation. Contrarily, patent citations and technology transfer have unequal positive effects on the quantity of green innovation of local firms, while there is no evidence that they can also improve the quality of green innovation. Despite regional disparities, strict environmental regulations are pushing companies to cite university patents in some regions. The university knowledge stock has largely contributed to both quantitative and qualitative advances in subsequent green innovation in local firms. Our conclusions provide a precise and objective evaluation of the impact mechanism of multiple knowledge spillover channels in universities on firms' green innovation, as well as a reference for the selection of the form of industry-university-research collaboration. Green finance initiatives are encouraged in the world to attain green economic milestones. Therefore, it is the centered area of research for the plethora of researchers across the globe. Instead of this significant transition to green finance, the study analyzed the Chinese data to explore the relationship between Green Finance, Green Technology innovation, and Environmental Performance from 2003 to 2022 in the Chinese context. We preferred the CS-ARDL and panel Quantile regression models for exploring our hypothesis and to examine the relationship of these variables. Our results validated that both green finance and green technology innovation have positive effects in both the long-term and short-term on the environmental performance in numerous Chinese cities. The statistical results showed that Green Finance and Green technology innovation reduce the amount of CO2 emission. Hence our results confirmed that both Green Finance and green technology innovations are significantly contributing to the environmental quality of China as the selected cities considered for the study investigation are considerably more driven towards green initiatives. This research also discussed the potential for implementing policy interventions in the future to leverage the adoption of green technology and make a significant impact on the world's environmental quality as China is the biggest emitter of CO2 emissions. Facing increasingly pressing environmental issues, driving green transformation through innovation has become a necessary path for the future development of companies. Empirical analysis based on the sample of listed companies in the transportation sector in China from 2011 to 2021 reveals that digital transformation in transportation companies can promote green innovation. Furthermore, the impact of digital transformation on green innovation is sustained, with the lagged effect of digital transformation having a greater influence on green innovation than the current effect. The study also discovers the presence of a mediating effect of financing constraints between digital transformation and green innovation. Further research, using the promulgation of the Digital Transportation Development Plan Outline in 2017 as a quasi-natural experiment, employs the difference-in-differences method to verify the impact of the policy on green innovation in transportation companies before and after its implementation. Green technology innovation is an effective way through which to achieve carbon neutrality and sustainable development. Based on provincial panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2005 to 2018, this work examines the tripartite relationship among green technology innovation, resource misallocation, and carbon emission performance by constructing panel regression models and a dynamic threshold panel model. The research results show that green technology innovation significantly improves carbon emission performance. Further analysis shows that both capital and labour misallocation have a negative impact on carbon emission performance and hinder the contribution of green technology innovation to the improvement of carbon emission performance. The regression results show that there is a threshold effect of green technology innovation on carbon emission performance: as the degree of resource misallocation increases, the positive impact of green technology innovation on carbon emission performance gradually decreases. This study provides an important reference for policy-makers in implementing policies to improve carbon emission performance. Since the 21st century, the world has increasingly focused on the issue of sustainable development, and the green transformation issues have become a new hot topic worldwide. Green and low-carbon transformation has become an international consensus. Urban agglomerations are important connections between urban development and regional coordination, as well as important spatial carriers for economic activities. They are not only the main source of carbon emissions, but also the main battlefield for energy conservation and emission reduction. As an important field for carbon reduction, the green transformation of cities is crucial for achieving the "dual carbon" goals. This article focuses on 48 cities in the three most mature and influential urban agglomerations in China from 2011 to 2019, namely, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration. The three-stage DEA model and Malmquist index model are used to measure the green transformation efficiency of the three urban agglomerations from both dynamic and static perspectives, and a Tobit regression model is constructed to explore the influencing factors of green transformation efficiency in urban agglomerations. Research has found that: 1) From a static perspective, the overall efficiency of green transformation in the three major urban agglomerations is at a high level, but from a temporal perspective, it shows a downward trend. The Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration is known for its green development, with the highest average efficiency of green transformation, followed by the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has the lowest level of green transformation; 2) From a dynamic perspective, technological progress is the main driving factor for improving the efficiency of green transformation in the three major urban agglomerations. Therefore, the government should pay special attention to the progressiveness of technology when formulating relevant policies to promote urban green transformation; 3) From the perspective of spatiotemporal differences, there are significant differences in the spatiotemporal characteristics of green transformation among the three major urban agglomerations, and there are significant differences in green transformation strategies among different urban agglomerations. Eliminating environmental factors and random interference is necessary for accurately measuring the efficiency of green transformation in urban agglomerations; 4) From the perspective of influencing factors, factors such as industrial structure upgrading, green innovation level, and environmental regulation intensity jointly affect the efficiency of green transformation in urban agglomerations. A relatively systematic theoretical framework for green transformation in urban agglomerations is formed, and an evaluation index system for green transformation efficiency in urban agglomerations is constructed and optimized. The composition mechanism of the five dimensional evaluation system for transformation efficiency is analyzed, and the bottleneck and breakthrough direction of the three major urban agglomerations in China in the development process are grasped. This study focuses on the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on green technology innovation (GTI) of firms and the moderating influence of the chief executive officer (CEO) narcissism through the lens of stakeholder theory and upper echelons theory. This research deconstructs CSR into internal CSR and external CSR in order to reveal the effects of different types of CSR on GTI. Based on a sample of 1,745 firm-year observations from 349 Chinese-listed firms across sectors between 2014 and 2018, we find that the fulfillment of internal CSR has a significant positive impact on GTI. This relationship is strengthened when the CEOs are narcissistic. The external CSR has a significant negative impact on GTI and this relationship is strengthened by CEO narcissism. The major contribution of our study is that it provides a theoretical contribution to the existing literature by deconstructing CSR into internal and external CSRs and enriches the studies in the context of CSR from a point of view of the particular personality trait of a CEO. Promoting sustainable development in manufacturing is a paramount goal, with a focus on advancing green innovation. This study constructs a system for evaluating green innovation efficiency and employs the Super-EBM model, incorporating unexpected output, to assess the efficiency of green innovation in 13 cities across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 2011 to 2020. The study further conducts dynamic analysis using the Malmquist-Luenberger index. Results reveal that, statically, the overall green innovation efficiency in the manufacturing industry of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is inefficient. There exists a considerable gap in green innovation efficiency among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, with Beijing and Tianjin demonstrating superior performance compared to Hebei. Substantial variations exist in the green innovation efficiency of manufacturing across different cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Only Beijing, Qinhuangdao, and Baoding achieve DEA-effective green innovation efficiency in the manufacturing industry, while the other cities do not. Dynamically, the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is on the rise. There is a varying degree of improvement in green innovation efficiency in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, with Hebei showing the highest improvement, Tianjin ranking second, and Beijing having the least improvement. With the exception of Langfang and Hengshui, the green innovation efficiency in the manufacturing industry is improving in most cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with Hebei witnessing the most significant improvement. This study aims to integrate "environmental pollution" into the evaluation index system for green innovation efficiency. It assesses green innovation efficiency in the manufacturing industry of the Beijing- Tianjin-Hebei region, considering both static and dynamic perspectives. Sustainable production is considered as an important approach to solve the dilemma of food insecurity. Green technologies have made contributions to improving food production and reducing environmental pollution. Studying the effects of green technologies on sustainable food production has great significance. The paper started with the influence mechanism of green technology application on the green total factor productivity of grain (GTFPG). With the GTFPG, green technology efficiency change of grain (GECG) and green technical progress change of grain (GTCG) measured, threshold models were constructed to explore the nonlinear impacts of various green technologies on GTFPG and the influence paths. Results indicated that the differences of GTFPG among provinces in China were decreased mainly due to the changes of GTCG, while the regional differences of GECG remained small. The impacts of green technologies had threshold effects that depended on the ecological effects of green technologies in different application stages, and were significantly different in the major and non-major grain producing areas. Meanwhile, significant differences existed in the influence paths of green technologies. In the major grain producing areas, green technologies were more likely to improve GTFPG through the GTCG path; while in the non-major grain producing areas, the GECG path and the GTCG path were both important to improve GTFPG. The differences of green technologies’ threshold effects and influence paths in the major and non-major grain producing areas were caused by regional technology preference, resource endowment and technology compatibility. This study emphasizes that the development of green technologies should fully consider the resource endowment and economic development of different regions, as well as the applicability and adoption rate of green technologies.

Digital development is changing with each passing day, and the traditional manufacturing industry is gradually shifting from extensive development to intensive development, the most prominent manifestation of which is the digital transformation and development of enterprises. This paper first discusses the internal mechanism of digital transformation promoting the green development of manufacturing enterprises from three aspects: product greening, technology greening and investment greening. Then, based on the panel data of China’s listed manufacturing enterprises from 2011 to 2019, the fixed effect model, two-stage least squares method, mediating effect model and moderating effect model were used to test the relationship between them. The results show that digital transformation can promote the green development of manufacturing enterprises, and this conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests. The empirical results of the mediating effect model show that digital transformation promotes the green development of manufacturing enterprises through three mediating paths: increasing green product output, technological innovation level and green investment level. Moreover, the promoting effect of digital transformation on the green development of enterprises will be moderated by the heterogeneous effect of environmental uncertainty. Therefore, accelerating the digital development of enterprises and promoting the construction of digital China is conducive to the green development of enterprises, and finally realizing the common development of digitalization and greening.

Heavy metal accumulation and pathogenic bacteria cause adverse effects on aquaculture. The active surface of selenium (Se) nanoparticles can mitigate these effects. The present study used Se-resistant Bacillus subtilis AS12 to fabricate biological Se nanoparticles (Bio-SeNPs). The double-edged Bio-SeNPs were tested for their ability to reduce the harmful effects of heavy metals and bacterial load in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and their respective influences on fish growth, behavior, and health. The Bio-SeNPs have a spherical shape with an average size of 77 nm and high flavonoids and phenolic content (0.7 and 1.9 g g−1 quercetin and gallic acid equivalents, respectively), resulting in considerable antioxidant and antibacterial activity. The Bio-SeNPs (3–5 μg ml−1) in the current study resolved two serious issues facing the aquaculture industry, firstly, the population of pathogenic bacteria, especially Aeromonas hydrophilia, which was reduced by 28–45% in fish organs. Secondly, heavy metals (Cd and Hg) at two levels (1 and 2 μg ml−1) were reduced by 50–87% and 57–73% in response to Bio-SeNPs (3–5 μg ml−1). Thus, liver function parameters were reduced, and inner immunity was enhanced. The application of Bio-SeNPs (3–5 μg ml−1) improved fish gut health, growth, and behavior, resulting in fish higher weight gain by 36–52% and a 40% specific growth rate, compared to controls. Furthermore, feeding and arousal times increased by 20–22% and 28–53%, respectively, while aggression time decreased by 78% compared to the control by the same treatment. In conclusion, Bio-SeNPs can mitigate the accumulation of heavy metals and reduce the bacterial load in a concentration-dependent manner, either in the fish media or fish organs. Grain for Green Project (GGP) is one of China's important ecological restoration projects. The key rationale of this Program is to decrease soil erosion and develop ecological conditions. The agricultural sector is putting efforts to promote green innovation and production among farmers to achieve the targets of ecological restoration projects. However, farmers' green values could play a constructive role in building green innovative intention and green technology adoption behaviors. Based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), the present study investigates the association between farmers' green values and green technology adoption behavior. For empirical investigation, the current study assumes that farmers' green values positively correlate with green innovative intention and green technology adoption behavior, respectively. Further, this study proposes that green innovative intention positively impacts green technology adoption behavior. The present study also aims to determine the mediating role of green innovative intention in the relationship between farmer green values and green technology adoption behavior. This study also attempts to check the moderating role of health consciousness in the relationship between farmer green values and green innovative intention and the relationship between farmer green values and green technology adoption behavior, respectively. For empirical analyses, the present study gathered data from303 farmers in China through a structured questionnaire method using a convenient sampling technique. The present study applied partial least square structural equation modeling for empirically examining hypotheses using Smart PLS software. The findings confirmed that farmers' green values have a positive association with green innovative intention and green technology adoption behavior, respectively. The results further verified that green innovative intention positively correlates with green technology adoption behavior. The finding also authenticated that green innovative intention positively mediates the relationship between farmers' green values and green technology adoption behavior. The moderating role of health consciousness in the relationship between farmers' green values and green innovative intention is also confirmed by the results of this study. However, the findings revealed that health consciousness does not moderate the relationship between farmers' green values and green technology adoption behavior. This study's findings serve the literature by providing empirical insight on the importance of farmers' green values for green innovative intention and green technology adoption behavior. Pollutant removal from industrial effluents is a big challenge for industries. These pollutants pose a great risk to the environment. Nanotechnology can reduce the expenditure made by industries to mitigate these pollutants through the production of eco-friendly nanomaterials. Nanomaterials are gaining attention due to their enhanced physical, chemical, and mechanical properties. Using microorganisms in the production of nanoparticles provides an even greater boost to green biotechnology as an emerging field of nanotechnology for sustainable production and cost reduction. In this mini review, efforts are made to discuss the various aspects of industrial effluent bioremediation through microbial nanotechnology integration. The use of enzymes with nanotechnology has produced higher activity and reusability of enzymes. Most studies on sustainable mobility focus on technological, socio-structural, or psychosocial influences while neglecting individual motivations and practices. In this study, we examine mobility motivations and practices as part of a complex interplay between psychosocial and socio-structural dimensions within the mobility infrastructure of Metrorail in the Western Cape. Drawing on Albert Bandura's theory of personal agency and the model of triadic reciprocal causation, we interviewed 38 commuters (mean age 33 years, SD 11, 50% women/men) and analyzed the data using hermeneutic content analysis and multidimensional scaling. Based on our analyses, we identified three pathways that describe the mobility practices of Metrorail users, each with its own purpose and function. We explore these pathways and their consequences for sustainable mobility in relation to daily commuter agency, motivations, and past experiences. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
