In digital baseband processing, the forward error correction (FEC) unit belongs to the most demanding components in terms of computational complexity and power consumption. Hence, efficient implementation of FEC decoders is crucial for next-generation mobile broadband standards and an ongoing research topic. Quantization has a significant impact on the decoder area, power consumption and throughput. Thus, lower bit widths are preferred for efficient implementations but degrade the error correction capability. To address this issue, a non-uniform quantization based on the Information Bottleneck (IB) method is proposed that enables a low bit width while maintaining the essential information. Many investigations on the use of the IB method for Low-density parity-check code) LDPC decoders exist and have shown its advantages from an implementation perspective. However, for polar code decoder implementations, there exists only one publication that is not based on the state-of-the-art Fast Simplified Successive-Cancellation (Fast-SSC) decoding algorithm, and only synthesis implementation results without energy estimation are shown. In contrast, our paper presents several optimized Fast-SSC polar code decoder implementations using IB-based quantization with placement and routing results using advanced 12 nm FinFET technology. Gains of up to 16% in area and 13% in energy efficiency are achieved with IB-based quantization at a Frame Error Rate (FER) of 10 − 7 and a polar code of N = 1024 , R = 0.5 compared to state-of-the-art decoders. In this paper, we consider a downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system over Nakagami-m channels. The single-antenna base station serves two single-antenna NOMA users based on statistical channel state information (CSI). We derive the closed-form expression of the exact outage probability under a given decoding order, and we also deduce the asymptotic outage probability and diversity order in a high-SNR regime. Then, we analyze all the possible power allocation ranges and theoretically prove the optimal power allocation range under the corresponding decoding order. The demarcation points of the optimal power allocation ranges are affected by target data rates and total power, without an effect from the CSI. In particular, the values of the demarcation points are proportional to the total power. Furthermore, we formulate a joint decoding order and power allocation optimization problem to maximize the sum throughput, which is solved by efficiently searching in our obtained optimal power allocation ranges. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations are conducted to confirm the accuracy of our derived exact outage probability. Numerical results show the accuracy of our deduced demarcation points of the optimal power allocation ranges. And the optimal decoding order is not constant at different total transmit power levels. The rapid serial visual presentation-based brain–computer interface (RSVP-BCI) system achieves the recognition of target images by extracting event-related potential (ERP) features from electroencephalogram (EEG) signals and then building target classification models. Currently, how to reduce the training and calibration time for classification models across different subjects is a crucial issue in the practical application of RSVP. To address this issue, a zero-calibration (ZC) method termed Attention-ProNet, which involves meta-learning with a prototype network integrating multiple attention mechanisms, was proposed in this study. In particular, multiscale attention mechanisms were used for efficient EEG feature extraction. Furthermore, a hybrid attention mechanism was introduced to enhance model generalization, and attempts were made to incorporate suitable data augmentation and channel selection methods to develop an innovative and high-performance ZC RSVP-BCI decoding model algorithm. The experimental results demonstrated that our method achieved a balance accuracy (BA) of 86.33% in the decoding task for new subjects. Moreover, appropriate channel selection and data augmentation methods further enhanced the performance of the network by affording an additional 2.3% increase in BA. The model generated by the meta-learning prototype network Attention-ProNet, which incorporates multiple attention mechanisms, allows for the efficient and accurate decoding of new subjects without the need for recalibration or retraining. Background: Degenerative spinal pathologies are highly prevalent among the elderly population. Timely diagnosis of osteoporotic fractures and other degenerative deformities enables proactive measures to mitigate the risk of severe back pain and disability. Methods: We explore the use of shape auto-encoders for vertebrae, advancing the state of the art through robust automatic segmentation models trained without fracture labels and recent geometric deep learning techniques. Our shape auto-encoders are pre-trained on a large set of vertebrae surface patches. This pre-training step addresses the label scarcity problem faced when learning the shape information of vertebrae for fracture detection from image intensities directly. We further propose a novel shape decoder architecture: the point-based shape decoder. Results: Employing segmentation masks that were generated using the TotalSegmentator, our proposed method achieves an AUC of 0.901 on the VerSe19 testset. This outperforms image-based and surface-based end-to-end trained models. Our results demonstrate that pre-training the models in an unsupervised manner enhances geometric methods like PointNet and DGCNN. Conclusion: Our findings emphasize the advantages of explicitly learning shape features for diagnosing osteoporotic vertebrae fractures. Many families of binary nonlinear codes (e.g., Kerdock, Goethals, Delsarte–Goethals, Preparata) can be very simply constructed from linear codes over the Z 4 ring (ring of integers modulo 4), by applying the Gray map to the quaternary symbols. Generalized Kerdock codes represent an extension of classical Kerdock codes to the Z 2 S ring. In this paper, we develop two novel soft-input decoders, designed to exploit the unique structure of these codes. We introduce a novel soft-input ML decoding algorithm and a soft-input soft-output MAP decoding algorithm of generalized Kerdock codes, with a complexity of O (N S log 2 N) , where N is the length of the Z 2 S code, that is, the number of Z 2 S symbols in a codeword. Given an observed low frame rate video, video frame interpolation (VFI) aims to generate a high frame rate video, which has smooth video frames with higher frames per second (FPS). Most existing VFI methods often focus on generating one frame at a specific timestep, e.g., 0.5, between every two frames, thus lacking the flexibility to increase the video's FPS by an arbitrary scale, e.g., 3. To better address this issue, in this paper, we propose an arbitrary timestep video frame interpolation (ATVFI) network with time-dependent decoding. Generally, the proposed ATVFI is an encoder–decoder architecture, where the interpolation timestep is an extra input added to the decoder network; this enables ATVFI to interpolate frames at arbitrary timesteps between input frames and to increase the video's FPS at any given scale. Moreover, we propose a data augmentation method, i.e., multi-width window sampling, where video frames can be split into training samples with multiple window widths, to better leverage training frames for arbitrary timestep interpolation. Extensive experiments were conducted to demonstrate the superiority of our model over existing baseline models on several testing datasets. Encoding a dictionary into another representation means that all the words can be stored in the dictionary in a more efficient way. In this way, we can complete common operations in dictionaries, such as (1) searching for a word in the dictionary, (2) adding some words to the dictionary, and (3) removing some words from the dictionary, in a shorter time. Binary decision diagrams (BDDs) are one of the most famous representations of such encoding and are widely popular due to their excellent properties. Recently, some people have proposed encoding dictionaries into BDDs and some variants of BDDs and showed that it is feasible. Hence, we further investigate the topic of encoding dictionaries into decision diagrams. Tagged sentential decision diagrams (TSDDs), as one of these variants based on structured decomposition, exploit both the standard and zero-suppressed trimming rules. In this paper, we first introduce how to use Boolean functions to represent dictionary files and then design an algorithm that encodes dictionaries into TSDDs with the help of tries and a decoding algorithm that restores TSDDs to dictionaries. We utilize the help of tries in the encoding algorithm, which greatly accelerates the encoding process. Aiming at effectively improving photovoltaic (PV) park operation and the stability of the electricity grid, the current paper addresses the design and development of a novel system achieving the short-term irradiance forecasting for the PV park area, which is the key factor for controlling the variations in the PV power production. First, it introduces the Xception long short-term memory (XceptionLSTM) cell tailored for recurrent neural networks (RNN). Second, it presents the novel irradiance forecasting model that consists of a sequence-to-sequence image regression NNs in the form of a spatio-temporal encoder–decoder including Xception layers in the spatial encoder, the novel XceptionLSTM in the temporal encoder and decoder and a multilayer perceptron in the spatial decoder. The proposed model achieves a forecast skill of 16.57% for a horizon of 5 min when compared to the persistence model. Moreover, the proposed model is designed for execution on edge computing devices and the real-time application of the inference on the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8 GB and the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W validates the results. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are one of the core technologies for building unmanned autonomous integrated automated electric meter verification workshops in metrology centers. However, complex obstacles on the verification lines, frequent AGV charging, and multi-AGV collaboration make the scheduling problem more complicated. Aiming at the characteristics and constraints of AGV transportation scheduling for metrology verification, a multi-AGV scheduling model was established to minimize the maximum completion time and charging cost, integrating collision-avoidance constraints. An improved snake optimization algorithm was proposed that first assigns and sorts tasks based on AGV-order-address three-level mapping encoding and decoding, then searches optimal paths using an improved A* algorithm solves multi-AGV path conflicts, and finally finds the minimum-charging-cost schedule through large neighborhood search. We conducted simulations using real data, and the calculated results reduced the objective function value by 16.4% compared to the traditional first-in-first-out (FIFO) method. It also reduced the number of charges by 60.3%. In addition, the proposed algorithm is compared with a variety of cutting-edge algorithms and the results show that the objective function value is reduced by 8.7–11.2%, which verifies the superiority of the proposed algorithm and the feasibility of the model. Polar codes, as the coding scheme for the control channel in fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G), have attracted widespread attention since their proposal. As a mainstream decoding algorithm for polar codes, the successive cancellation list (SCL) decoder usually improves the error correction performance by increasing the list size, but this method suffers from the problems of high decoding complexity. To address this problem, this paper proposes a layered-search bit-flipping (LS-SCLF) decoding algorithm based on SCL decoding. Firstly, a new flip-bit metric is proposed, which derives a formula to approximate the probability of an error occurring in an information bit. This formula introduces a perturbation parameter to improve the calculation accuracy. Secondly, a compromise scheme for determining the perturbation parameter is proposed. The scheme uses Monte Carlo simulation to determine an optimized parameter for the precise positioning of the first erroneous decoded bit under different decoding conditions. Finally, a layered search strategy is adopted to sequentially search the erroneous decoded bits from the low order to high order, which can correct up to multiple bits at the same time. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves improved error correction performance with a slight increase in decoding complexity compared to the generalized SCL-Flip (GSCLF) decoding algorithm. JPEG is the international standard for still image encoding and is the most widely used compression algorithm because of its simple encoding process and low computational complexity. Recently, many methods have been developed to improve the quality of JPEG images by using deep learning. However, these methods require the use of high-performance devices since they need to perform neural network computation for decoding images. In this paper, we propose a method to generate high-quality images using deep learning without changing the decoding algorithm. The key idea is to reduce and smooth colors and gradient regions in the original images before JPEG compression. The reduction and smoothing can suppress red block noise and pseudo-contour in the compressed images. Furthermore, high-performance devices are unnecessary for decoding. The proposed method consists of two components: a color transformation network using deep learning and a pseudo-contour suppression model using signal processing. In the field of intelligent vehicle technology, there is a high dependence on images captured under challenging conditions to develop robust perception algorithms. However, acquiring these images can be both time-consuming and dangerous. To address this issue, unpaired image-to-image translation models offer a solution by synthesizing samples of the desired domain, thus eliminating the reliance on ground truth supervision. However, the current methods predominantly focus on single projections rather than multiple solutions, not to mention controlling the direction of generation, which creates a scope for enhancement. In this study, we propose a generative adversarial network (GAN)–based model, which incorporates both a style encoder and a content encoder, specifically designed to extract relevant information from an image. Further, we employ a decoder to reconstruct an image using these encoded features, while ensuring that the generated output remains within a permissible range by applying a self-regression module to constrain the style latent space. By modifying the hyperparameters, we can generate controllable outputs with specific style codes. We evaluate the performance of our model by generating snow scenes on the Cityscapes and the EuroCity Persons datasets. EEG decoding based on motor imagery is an important part of brain–computer interface technology and is an important indicator that determines the overall performance of the brain–computer interface. Due to the complexity of motor imagery EEG feature analysis, traditional classification models rely heavily on the signal preprocessing and feature design stages. End-to-end neural networks in deep learning have been applied to the classification task processing of motor imagery EEG and have shown good results. This study uses a combination of a convolutional neural network (CNN) and a long short-term memory (LSTM) network to obtain spatial information and temporal correlation from EEG signals. The use of cross-layer connectivity reduces the network gradient dispersion problem and enhances the overall network model stability. The effectiveness of this network model is demonstrated on the BCI Competition IV dataset 2a by integrating CNN, BiLSTM and ResNet (called CLRNet in this study) to decode motor imagery EEG. The network model combining CNN and BiLSTM achieved 87.0% accuracy in classifying motor imagery patterns in four classes. The network stability is enhanced by adding ResNet for cross-layer connectivity, which further improved the accuracy by 2.0% to achieve 89.0% classification accuracy. The experimental results show that CLRNet has good performance in decoding the motor imagery EEG dataset. Directly applying brain signals to operate a mobile manned platform, such as a vehicle, may help people with neuromuscular disorders regain their driving ability. In this paper, we developed a novel electroencephalogram (EEG) signal-based driver–vehicle interface (DVI) for the continuous and asynchronous control of brain-controlled vehicles. The proposed DVI consists of the user interface, the command decoding algorithm, and the control model. The user interface is designed to present the control commands and induce the corresponding brain patterns. The command decoding algorithm is developed to decode the control command. The control model is built to convert the decoded commands to control signals. Offline experimental results show that the developed DVI can generate a motion control command with an accuracy of 83.59% and a detection time of about 2 s, while it has a recognition accuracy of 90.06% in idle states. A real-time brain-controlled simulated vehicle based on the DVI was developed and tested on a U-turn road. Experimental results show the feasibility of the DVI for continuously and asynchronously controlling a vehicle. This work not only advances the research on brain-controlled vehicles but also provides valuable insights into driver–vehicle interfaces, multimodal interaction, and intelligent vehicles. The indoor environment is typically a complex time-varying environment. At present, the problem of indoor modeling is still a hot research topic for scholars at home and abroad. This paper primarily studies indoor time-varying space. On the basis of the Beidou grid framework and time coding model, in the first scenario, a local space subdivision framework based on Beidou is proposed. The necessity of local space subdivision framework is analyzed. In the second scenario, based on the time coding model needle, a local temporal subdivision model, more suitable for a short time domain, is proposed. Then, for the spatial modeling of an indoor time-varying environment, an indoor time-varying mesh frame based on global subdivision, local space subdivision, and local time subdivision is proposed. Using this framework, the indoor environment is represented by the space–time grid, and the basic storage data structure is designed. Finally, the experiment of local subdivision coding in the indoor space–time grid, indoor space–time grid modeling, and an organization experiment is carried out using real data and simulation data. The experimental results verify the feasibility and correctness of the encoding and decoding algorithm of local subdivision encoding in space–time encoding and the calculation algorithm of the space–time relationship. In this article, a graph-theoretic method (taking advantage of constraints among sets associated with the corresponding parity-check matrices) is applied for the construction of a double low-density parity-check (D-LDPC) code (also known as LDPC code pair) in a joint source-channel coding (JSCC) system. Specifically, we pre-set the girth of the parity-check matrix for the LDPC code pair when jointly designing the two LDPC codes, which are constructed by following the set constraints. The constructed parity-check matrices for channel codes comprise an identity submatrix and an additional submatrix, whose column weights can be pre-set to be any positive integer numbers. Simulation results illustrate that the constructed D-LDPC codes exhibit significant performance improvement and enhanced flexible frame length (i.e., adaptability under various channel conditions) compared with the benchmark code pair. Although extensive optimization of encoding and decoding schemes for joint source-channel coding (JSCC) systems has been conducted, efficient optimization schemes are still required for designing and optimizing the linking matrix between variable nodes of the source code and check nodes of the channel code. A scheme has been proposed for design and optimization of linking matrix with multi-edges by analyzing the performance of the JSCC system using the joint protograph extrinsic information transfer algorithm to calculate decoding thresholds. The proposed scheme incorporates structural constraints and is effective in designing and optimizing the multi-edges in linking matrix for the JSCC system. Experimental results have demonstrated that the designed and optimized linking matrix significantly improves the performance of the JSCC system. Industrial Internet of Things (IIoTs) has drawn significant attention in the industry. Among its rich applications, the field's video surveillance deserves particular interest due to its advantage in better understanding network control. However, existing decoding methods are limited by the video coding order, which cannot be decoded in parallel, resulting in low decoding efficiency and the inability to process the massive amount of video data in real time. In this work, a parallel decoding framework based on the speculative technique is proposed. In particular, the video is first speculatively decomposed into data blocks, and then a verification method is designed to ensure the correctness of the decomposition. After verification, the data blocks having passed the validation can be decoded concurrently in the parallel computing platform. Finally, the concurrent decoding results are concatenated in line with the original encoding order to form the output. Experiments show that compared with traditional serial decoding ones, the proposed method can improve the performance by 9 times on average in the parallel computing environment with NVIDIA Tegra 4 chips, thus significantly enhancing the real-time video data's decoding efficiency with guaranteed accuracy. Furthermore, proposed and traditional serial methods obtain almost the same peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and mean square error (MSE) metrics at different bit rates and resolutions, showing that the introduction of the speculative technique does not degrade the decoding accuracy. Zero-shot neural decoding aims to decode image categories, which were not previously trained, from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) activity evoked when a person views images. However, having insufficient training data due to the difficulty in collecting fMRI data causes poor generalization capability. Thus, models suffer from the projection domain shift problem when novel target categories are decoded. In this paper, we propose a zero-shot neural decoding approach with semi-supervised multi-view embedding. We introduce the semi-supervised approach that utilizes additional images related to the target categories without fMRI activity patterns. Furthermore, we project fMRI activity patterns into a multi-view embedding space, i.e., visual and semantic feature spaces of viewed images to effectively exploit the complementary information. We define several source and target groups whose image categories are very different and verify the zero-shot neural decoding performance. In this paper, we consider a slot-controlled coded compressed sensing protocol for unsourced massive random access (URA) that concatenates a shared patterned Reed–Muller (PRM) inner codebook to an outer error-correction code. Due to the limitations of the geometry-based decoding algorithm in single-sequence settings and due to the message interference that may result in decreased decoding performance under multi-sequence circumstances, a list PRM projection algorithm and an iterative list PRM projection algorithm are proposed to supplant the signal detector associated with the inner PRM sequences in this paper. In detail, we first propose an enhanced path-saving algorithm, called list PRM projection detection, for use in single-user scenarios that maintains multiple candidates during the first few layers so as to remedy the risk of spreading errors. On this basis, we further propose an iterative list PRM projection algorithm for use in multi-user scenarios. The vectors for PRM codes and channel coefficients are jointly detected in an iterative manner, which offers significant improvements regarding the convergence rate for signal recovery. Furthermore, the performances of the proposed algorithms are analyzed mathematically, and we verify that the theoretical simulations are consistent with the numerical simulations. Finally, we concatenate the inner PRM codes that employ iterative list detection in two practical error-correction outer codes. According to the simulation results, we conclude that the packetized URA with the proposed iterative list projection detection works better than benchmarks in terms of the number of active users it can support in each slot and the amount of energy needed per bit to meet an expected error probability. Steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP)-based brain–computer interface (BCI) systems have been extensively researched over the past two decades, and multiple sets of standard datasets have been published and widely used. However, there are differences in sample distribution and collection equipment across different datasets, and there is a lack of a unified evaluation method. Most new SSVEP decoding algorithms are tested based on self-collected data or offline performance verification using one or two previous datasets, which can lead to performance differences when used in actual application scenarios. To address these issues, this paper proposed a SSVEP dataset evaluation method and analyzed six datasets with frequency and phase modulation paradigms to form an SSVEP algorithm evaluation dataset system. Finally, based on the above datasets, performance tests were carried out on the four existing SSVEP decoding algorithms. The findings reveal that the performance of the same algorithm varies significantly when tested on diverse datasets. Substantial performance variations were observed among subjects, ranging from the best-performing to the worst-performing. The above results demonstrate that the SSVEP dataset evaluation method can integrate six datasets to form a SSVEP algorithm performance testing dataset system. This system can test and verify the SSVEP decoding algorithm from different perspectives such as different subjects, different environments, and different equipment, which is helpful for the research of new SSVEP decoding algorithms and has significant reference value for other BCI application fields. To improve the decoding performance of asynchronous sparse code multiple access (SCMA) systems over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels, this paper proposes a novel windowed joint detection and decoding algorithm for a rate-compatible (RC), LDPC code-based, incremental redundancy (IR) hybrid automatic repeat quest (HARQ) scheme. Since incremental decoding can exchange information iteratively with the detections made at previous consecutive time units, we propose a windowed joint detection and decoding algorithm. The extrinsic information exchanging process is performed between the decoders and the previous w detectors at different consecutive time units. Simulation results show that the sliding-window IR-HARQ scheme for the SCMA system outperforms the original IR-HARQ scheme with a joint detection and decoding algorithm. This paper studies the hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with blocking constraints (BHFSP). To better understand the BHFSP, we will construct its mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model and use the Gurobi solver to demonstrate its correctness. Since the BHFSP exists parallel machines in some processing stages, different decoding strategies can obtain different makespan values for a given job sequence and multiple decoding strategies can assist the algorithm to find the optimal value. In view of this, we propose a hybrid decoding strategy that combines both forward decoding and backward decoding to select the minimal objective function value. In addition, a hybrid decoding-assisted variant iterated greedy (VIG) algorithm to solve the above MILP model. The main novelties of VIG are a new reconstruction mechanism based on the hybrid decoding strategy and a swap-based local reinforcement strategy, which can enrich the diversity of solutions and explore local neighborhoods more deeply. This evaluation is conducted against the VIG and six state-of-the-art algorithms from the literature. The 100 tests showed that the average makespan and the relative percentage increase (RPI) values of VIG are 1.00% and 89.6% better than the six comparison algorithms on average, respectively. We propose a novel slot-pattern-control based coded compressed sensing for unsourced random access with an outer A-channel code capable of correcting t errors. Specifically, an RM extension code called patterned Reed–Muller (PRM) code is proposed. We demonstrate the high spectral efficiency due to its enormous sequence space and prove the geometry property in the complex domain that enhances the reliability and efficiency of detection. Accordingly, a projective decoder based on its geometry theorem is also proposed. Next, the "patterned" property of the PRM code, which partitions the binary vector space into several subspaces, is further extended as the primary principle for designing a slot control criterion that reduces the number of simultaneous transmissions in each slot. The factors affecting the chance of sequence collisions are identified. Finally, the proposed scheme is implemented in two practical outer A-channel codes: (i) the t-tree code and (ii) the Reed–Solomon code with Guruswami–Sudan list decoding, and the optimal setups are determined to minimize SNR by optimizing the inner and outer codes jointly. In comparison with the existing counterpart, our simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme compares favorably with benchmark schemes regarding the energy-per-bit requirement to meet a target error probability as well as the number of accommodated active users in the system. The use of Riemannian geometry decoding algorithms in classifying electroencephalography-based motor-imagery brain–computer interfaces (BCIs) trials is relatively new and promises to outperform the current state-of-the-art methods by overcoming the noise and nonstationarity of electroencephalography signals. However, the related literature shows high classification accuracy on only relatively small BCI datasets. The aim of this paper is to provide a study of the performance of a novel implementation of the Riemannian geometry decoding algorithm using large BCI datasets. In this study, we apply several Riemannian geometry decoding algorithms on a large offline dataset using four adaptation strategies: baseline, rebias, supervised, and unsupervised. Each of these adaptation strategies is applied in motor execution and motor imagery for both scenarios 64 electrodes and 29 electrodes. The dataset is composed of four-class bilateral and unilateral motor imagery and motor execution of 109 subjects. We run several classification experiments and the results show that the best classification accuracy is obtained for the scenario where the baseline minimum distance to Riemannian mean has been used. The mean accuracy values up to 81.5% for motor execution, and up to 76.4% for motor imagery. In recent years, the demand for vehicular edge computing (VEC) has grown rapidly due to the increasing need for low-latency and high-throughput applications such as autonomous driving and smart transportation systems. Nevertheless, offering VEC services in rural locations remains a difficulty owing to a lack of network facilities. We tackle this issue by taking advantage of high-altitude platforms (HAPs) and rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) techniques to propose an HAP-assisted RSMA-enabled VEC system, which can enhance connectivity and provide computational capacity in rural locations. We also introduce a deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG)-based framework that optimizes the allocation of resources and task offloading by jointly considering the offloading rate, splitting rate, transmission power, and decoding order parameters. Exploring the effective signal features of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals is an important issue in the research of brain–computer interface (BCI), and the results can reveal the motor intentions that trigger electrical changes in the brain, which has broad research prospects for feature extraction from EEG data. In contrast to previous EEG decoding methods that are based solely on a convolutional neural network, the traditional convolutional classification algorithm is optimized by combining a transformer mechanism with a constructed end-to-end EEG signal decoding algorithm based on swarm intelligence theory and virtual adversarial training. The use of a self-attention mechanism is studied to expand the receptive field of EEG signals to global dependence and train the neural network by optimizing the global parameters in the model. The proposed model is evaluated on a real-world public dataset and achieves the highest average accuracy of 63.56% in cross-subject experiments, which is significantly higher than that found for recently published algorithms. Additionally, good performance is achieved in decoding motor intentions. The identification of drug–drug and chemical–protein interactions is essential for understanding unpredictable changes in the pharmacological effects of drugs and mechanisms of diseases and developing therapeutic drugs. In this study, we extract drug-related interactions from the DDI (Drug–Drug Interaction) Extraction-2013 Shared Task dataset and the BioCreative ChemProt (Chemical–Protein) dataset using various transfer transformers. We propose BERTGAT that uses a graph attention network (GAT) to take into account the local structure of sentences and embedding features of nodes under the self-attention scheme and investigate whether incorporating syntactic structure can help relation extraction. In addition, we suggest T5slim_dec, which adapts the autoregressive generation task of the T5 (text-to-text transfer transformer) to the relation classification problem by removing the self-attention layer in the decoder block. Furthermore, we evaluated the potential of biomedical relation extraction of GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) using GPT-3 variant models. As a result, T5slim_dec, which is a model with a tailored decoder designed for classification problems within the T5 architecture, demonstrated very promising performances for both tasks. We achieved an accuracy of 91.15% in the DDI dataset and an accuracy of 94.29% for the CPR (Chemical–Protein Relation) class group in ChemProt dataset. However, BERTGAT did not show a significant performance improvement in the aspect of relation extraction. In recent years, deep learning has achieved good results in the semantic segmentation of medical images. A typical architecture for segmentation networks is an encoder–decoder structure. However, the design of the segmentation networks is fragmented and lacks a mathematical explanation. Consequently, segmentation networks are inefficient and less generalizable across different organs. To solve these problems, we reconstructed the segmentation network based on mathematical methods. We introduced the dynamical systems view into semantic segmentation and proposed a novel segmentation network based on Runge–Kutta methods, referred to hereafter as the Runge–Kutta segmentation network (RKSeg). RKSegs were evaluated on ten organ image datasets from the Medical Segmentation Decathlon. The experimental results show that RKSegs far outperform other segmentation networks. RKSegs use few parameters and short inference time, yet they can achieve competitive or even better segmentation results compared to other models. The graph autoencoder (GAE) is a powerful graph representation learning tool in an unsupervised learning manner for graph data. However, most existing GAE-based methods typically focus on preserving the graph topological structure by reconstructing the adjacency matrix while ignoring the preservation of the attribute information of nodes. Thus, the node attributes cannot be fully learned and the ability of the GAE to learn higher-quality representations is weakened. To address the issue, this paper proposes a novel GAE model that preserves node attribute similarity. The structural graph and the attribute neighbor graph, which is constructed based on the attribute similarity between nodes, are integrated as the encoder input using an effective fusion strategy. In the encoder, the attributes of the nodes can be aggregated both in their structural neighborhood and by their attribute similarity in their attribute neighborhood. This allows performing the fusion of the structural and node attribute information in the node representation by sharing the same encoder. In the decoder module, the adjacency matrix and the attribute similarity matrix of the nodes are reconstructed using dual decoders. The cross-entropy loss of the reconstructed adjacency matrix and the mean-squared error loss of the reconstructed node attribute similarity matrix are used to update the model parameters and ensure that the node representation preserves the original structural and node attribute similarity information. At present, the non-intrusive load decomposition method for low-frequency sampling data is as yet insufficient within the context of generalization performance, failing to meet the decomposition accuracy requirements when applied to novel scenarios. To address this issue, a non-intrusive load decomposition method based on instance-batch normalization network is proposed. This method uses an encoder-decoder structure with attention mechanism, in which skip connections are introduced at the corresponding layers of the encoder and decoder. In this way, the decoder can reconstruct a more accurate power sequence of the target. The proposed model was tested on two public datasets, REDD and UKDALE, and the performance was compared with mainstream algorithms. The results show that the F1 score was higher by an average of 18.4 when compared with mainstream algorithms. There are six possible solutions for the surface normal vectors obtained from polarization information during 3D reconstruction. To resolve the ambiguity of surface normal vectors, scholars have introduced additional information, such as shading information. However, this makes the 3D reconstruction task too burdensome. Therefore, in order to make the 3D reconstruction more generally applicable, this paper proposes a complete framework to reconstruct the surface of an object using only polarized images. To solve the ambiguity problem of surface normal vectors, a jump-compensated U-shaped generative adversarial network (RU-Gan) based on jump compensation is designed for fusing six surface normal vectors. Among them, jump compensation is proposed in the encoder and decoder parts, and the content loss function is reconstructed, among other approaches. For the problem that the reflective region of the original image will cause the estimated normal vector to deviate from the true normal vector, a specular reflection model is proposed to optimize the dataset, thus reducing the reflective region. Experiments show that the estimated normal vector obtained in this paper improves the accuracy by about 20° compared with the previous conventional work, and improves the accuracy by about 1.5° compared with the recent neural network model, which means the neural network model proposed in this paper is more suitable for the normal vector estimation task. Furthermore, the object surface reconstruction framework proposed in this paper has the characteristics of simple implementation conditions and high accuracy of reconstructed texture. We propose a distributed quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) coded spatial modulation (D-QC-LDPCC-SM) scheme with source, relay and destination nodes. At the source and relay, two distinct QC-LDPC codes are used. The relay chooses partial source information bits for further encoding, and a distributed code corresponding to each selection is generated at the destination. To construct the best code, the optimal information bit selection algorithm by exhaustive search in the relay is proposed. However, the exhaustive-based search algorithm has large complexity for QC-LDPC codes with long block length. Then, we develop another low-complexity information bit selection algorithm by partial search. Moreover, the iterative decoding algorithm based on the three-layer Tanner graph is proposed at the destination to carry out joint decoding for the received signal. The recently developed polar-coded cooperative SM (PCC-SM) scheme does not adopt a better encoding method at the relay, which motivates us to compare it with the proposed D-QC-LDPCC-SM scheme. Simulations exhibit that the proposed exhaustive-based and partial-based search algorithms outperform the random selection approach by 1 and 1.2 dB, respectively. Academic knowledge graphs are essential resources and can be beneficial in widespread real-world applications. Most of the existing academic knowledge graphs are far from completion; thus, knowledge graph completion—the task of extending a knowledge graph with missing entities and relations—attracts many researchers. Most existing methods utilize low-dimensional embeddings to represent entities and relations and follow the discrimination paradigm for link prediction. However, discrimination approaches may suffer from the scaling issue during inference with large-scale academic knowledge graphs. In this paper, we propose a novel approach of a generative transformer with knowledge-guided decoding for academic knowledge graph completion. Specifically, we introduce generative academic knowledge graph pre-training with a transformer. Then, we propose knowledge-guided decoding, which leverages relevant knowledge in the training corpus as guidance for help. We conducted experiments on benchmark datasets for knowledge graph completion. To guarantee the integrity of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) for safety-critical users, a satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) makes use of the integrity monitoring architecture, of which the signal quality monitor (SQM) is an important component to address the potential risks caused by satellite-induced signal anomalies. Due to the introduction of dual-frequency multi-constellation (DFMC) techniques in 2025, the ranging uncertainty will be reduced by the elimination of first-order ionospheric delay, but the biases measured in each individual signal will be inflated by the ionosphere-free combinations. Moreover, multiple modulations of DFMC signals might introduce applicability uncertainty of a traditional SQM method that has been protecting GPS L1C/A signal only. Thus, higher requirements are put forward for future SQM methods in detection sensitivity and modulation independence. This paper first proposes a design methodology for the SQM algorithm for BDS B1C/B2a signals, which could be easily extended to the DF combinations of other GNSS core constellations. Then, by comparing the performances of SQM baseline algorithms based on traditional multi-correlator and emerging chip domain observables (CDOs), respectively, the superiority of CDO-based SQM is declared. Detailed design iterations are further discussed, including the algorithm practicalization with optimizing code-phase bin length and lowering sampling frequency, as well as the metric simplification, to promote the overall performance while preserving a lower implementation complexity. A key component of the joint source-channel coding (JSCC) scheme based on double low-density parity-check (D-LDPC) codes is the introduction of a linking matrix between the source LDPC code and channel LDPC code, by which the decoding information including the source redundancy and channel state information can be transferred iteratively. However, the linking matrix is a fixed one-to-one mapping, i.e., an identity matrix in a conventional D-LDPC code system, which may not take full advantage of the decoding information. Therefore, this paper introduces a general linking matrix, i.e., a non-identity linking matrix, connecting the check nodes (CNs) of the source LDPC code and the variable nodes (VNs) of the channel LDPC code. Further, the encoding and decoding algorithms of the proposed D-LDPC coding system are generalized. A joint extrinsic information transfer (JEXIT) algorithm is derived for calculating the decoding threshold of the proposed system with a general linking matrix. In addition, several general linking matrices are optimized with the aid of the JEXIT algorithm. In this paper, a joint group shuffled scheduling decoding (JGSSD) algorithm for a joint source-channel coding (JSCC) scheme based on double low-density parity-check (D-LDPC) codes is presented. The proposed algorithm considers the D-LDPC coding structure as a whole and applies shuffled scheduling to each group; the grouping relies on the types or the length of the variable nodes (VNs). By comparison, the conventional shuffled scheduling decoding algorithm can be regarded as a special case of this proposed algorithm. A novel joint extrinsic information transfer (JEXIT) algorithm for the D-LDPC codes system with the JGSSD algorithm is proposed, by which the source and channel decoding are calculated with different grouping strategies to analyze the effects of the grouping strategy. Recently, a mesh model-based merging (M 3 ) method and four basic graph models were proposed to construct the double protograph low-density parity-check (P-LDPC) code pair of the joint source channel coding (JSCC). Designing the protograph (mother code) of the P-LDPC code with both a good waterfall region and lower error floor is a challenge, and few works have existed until now. In this paper, the single P-LDPC code is improved to further verify the availability of the M 3 method, and its structure is different from the channel code in the JSCC. This construction technique yields a family of new channel codes with lower power consumption and higher reliability. Lattice enumeration is a linear-space algorithm for solving the shortest lattice vector problem (SVP). Extreme pruning is a practical technique for accelerating lattice enumeration, which has a mature theoretical analysis and practical implementation. However, these works have yet to be applied to discrete pruning. In this paper, we improve the discrete pruned enumeration (DP enumeration) and provide a solution to the problem proposed by Léo Ducas and Damien Stehlé regarding the cost estimation of discrete pruning. We first rectify the randomness assumption to more precisely describe the lattice point distribution of DP enumeration. Then, we propose a series of improvements, including a new polynomial-time binary search algorithm for cell enumeration radius, a refined cell-decoding algorithm and a rerandomization and reprocessing strategy, all aiming to lift the efficiency and build a more precise cost-estimation model for DP enumeration. Based on these theoretical and practical improvements, we build a precise cost-estimation model for DP enumeration by simulation, which has good accuracy in experiments. This DP simulator enables us to propose an optimization method of calculating the optimal parameters of DP enumeration to minimize the running time. The experimental results and asymptotic analysis both show that the discrete pruning method could outperform extreme pruning, which means that our optimized DP enumeration might become the most efficient polynomial-space SVP solver to date. Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers that threaten women's lives, and its early screening is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of cervical diseases. Pathologically, the accurate segmentation of cervical cells plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of cervical cancer. However, the frequent presence of adherent or overlapping cervical cells in Pap smear images makes separating them individually a difficult task. Currently, there are few studies on the segmentation of adherent cervical cells, and the existing methods commonly suffer from low segmentation accuracy and complex design processes. To address the above problems, we propose a novel star-convex polygon-based convolutional neural network with an encoder-decoder structure, called SPCNet. The model accomplishes the segmentation of adherent cells relying on three steps: automatic feature extraction, star-convex polygon detection, and non-maximal suppression (NMS). Concretely, a new residual-based attentional embedding (RAE) block is suggested for image feature extraction. It fuses the deep features from the attention-based convolutional layers with the shallow features from the original image through the residual connection, enhancing the network's ability to extract the abundant image features. And then, a polygon-based adaptive NMS (PA-NMS) algorithm is adopted to screen the generated polygon proposals and further achieve the accurate detection of adherent cells, thus allowing the network to completely segment the cell instances in Pap smear images. Finally, the effectiveness of our method is evaluated on three independent datasets. The Transformer-based approach represents the state-of-the-art in image captioning. However, existing studies have shown Transformer has a problem that irrelevant tokens with overlapping neighbors incorrectly attend to each other with relatively large attention scores. We believe that this limitation is due to the incompleteness of the Self-Attention Network (SAN) and Feed-Forward Network (FFN). To solve this problem, we present the Full-Memory Transformer method for image captioning. The method improves the performance of both image encoding and language decoding. In the image encoding step, we propose the Full-LN symmetric structure, which enables stable training and better model generalization performance by symmetrically embedding Layer Normalization on both sides of the SAN and FFN. In the language decoding step, we propose the Memory Attention Network (MAN), which extends the traditional attention mechanism to determine the correlation between attention results and input sequences, guiding the model to focus on the words that need to be attended to. Recently, Acritical Intelligent (AI) methodologies such as Long and Short-term Memory (LSTM) have been widely considered promising tools for engine performance calibration, especially for engine emission performance prediction and optimization, and Transformer is also gradually applied to sequence prediction. To carry out high-precision engine control and calibration, predicting long time step emission sequences is required. However, LSTM has the problem of gradient disappearance on too long input and output sequences, and Transformer cannot reflect the dynamic features of historic emission information which derives from cycle-by-cycle engine combustion events, which leads to low accuracy and weak algorithm adaptability due to the inherent limitations of the encoder-decoder structure. In this paper, considering the highly nonlinear relation between the multi-dimensional engine operating parameters the engine emission data outputs, an Embedding-Graph-Neural-Network (EGNN) model was developed combined with self-attention mechanism for the adaptive graph generation part of the GNN to capture the relationship between the sequences, improve the ability of predicting long time step sequences, and reduce the number of parameters to simplify network structure. Then, a sensor embedding method was adopted to make the model adapt to the data characteristics of different sensors, so as to reduce the impact of experimental hardware on prediction accuracy. The experimental results show that under the condition of long-time step forecasting, the prediction error of our model decreased by 31.04% on average compared with five other baseline models, which demonstrates the EGNN model can potentially be used in future engine calibration procedures. Designing an efficient decoder is an effective way to improve the performance of polar codes with limited code length. List flip decoders have received attention due to their good performance trade-off between list decoders and flip decoders. In particular, the newly proposed dynamic successive cancellation list flip (D-SCLF) decoder employs a new flip metric to effectively correct high-order errors and thus enhances the performance potential of present list flip decoders. However, this flip metric introduces extra exponential and logarithmic operations, and the number of these operations rises exponentially with the increase in the order of error correction and the number of information bits, which then limits its application value. Therefore, we designed an adaptive list flip (ALF) decoder with a new heuristic simplified flip metric, which replaces these extra nonlinear operations in the original flip metric with linear operations. Simulation results show that the simplified flip metric does not reduce the performance of the D-SCLF decoder. Moreover, based on the in-depth theoretical analyses of the combination of the adaptive list and the list flip decoders, the ALF decoder adopts the adaptive list to further reduce the average complexity. Brain decoding is to predict the external stimulus information from the collected brain response activities, and visual information is one of the most important sources of external stimulus information. Decoding functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) based on visual stimulation is helpful in understanding the working mechanism of the brain visual function regions. Traditional brain decoding algorithms cannot accurately extract stimuli features from fMRI. To address these shortcomings, this paper proposed a brain decoding algorithm based on a graph convolution network (GCN). Firstly, 11 regions of interest (ROI) were selected according to the human brain visual function regions, which can avoid the noise interference of the non-visual regions of the human brain; then, a deep three-dimensional convolution neural network was specially designed to extract the features of these 11 regions; next, the GCN was used to extract the functional correlation features between the different human brain visual regions. Furthermore, to avoid the problem of gradient disappearance when there were too many layers of graph convolutional neural network, the residual connections were adopted in our algorithm, which helped to integrate different levels of features in order to improve the accuracy of the proposed GCN. The proposed algorithm was tested on the public dataset, and the recognition accuracy reached 98.67%. Compared with the other state-of-the-art algorithms, the proposed algorithm performed the best. The variational quantum algorithm (VQA) is a hybrid classical–quantum algorithm. It can actually run in an intermediate-scale quantum device where the number of available qubits is too limited to perform quantum error correction, so it is one of the most promising quantum algorithms in the noisy intermediate-scale quantum era. In this paper, two ideas for solving the learning with errors problem (LWE) using VQA are proposed. First, after reducing the LWE problem into the bounded distance decoding problem, the quantum approximation optimization algorithm (QAOA) is introduced to improve classical methods. Second, after the LWE problem is reduced into the unique shortest vector problem, the variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) is used to solve it, and the number of qubits required is calculated in detail. Polar codes are one of the most effective methods of error correction coding. Currently, these codes are used in 5G communication systems and are the main candidate for 6G. Symmetry plays an important role in coding and decoding algorithms for polar codes. Modulation and multiple access methods are the basis for a physical layer along with error correction codes. Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) methods are a promising technology for future telecommunication systems. They allow the increase of both spectral efficiency and the quantity of subscribers of a communication system. In this paper, we consider a communication system with polar codes, traditional orthogonal multiple access (OMA), and NOMA. The channel with multipath propagation, which can be defined by the Rayleigh channel model, is especially difficult to transmit. We propose a method for adapting signals with polar codes to a channel state based on the analysis of channel matrix and permutation of logical subchannels. The shape encoding of geospatial objects is a key problem in the fields of cartography and geoscience. Although traditional geometric-based methods have made great progress, deep learning techniques offer a development opportunity for this classical problem. In this study, a shape encoding framework based on a deep encoder–decoder architecture was proposed, and three different methods for encoding planar geospatial shapes, namely GraphNet, SeqNet, and PixelNet methods, were constructed based on raster-based, graph-based, and sequence-based modeling for shape. The three methods were compared with the existing deep learning-based shape encoding method and two traditional geometric methods. Quantitative evaluation and visual inspection led to the following conclusions: (1) The deep encoder–decoder methods can effectively compute shape features and obtain meaningful shape coding to support the shape measure and retrieval task. (2) Compared with the traditional Fourier transform and turning function methods, the deep encoder–decoder methods showed certain advantages. (3) Compared with the SeqNet and PixelNet methods, GraphNet performed better due to the use of a graph to model the topological relations between nodes and efficient graph convolution and pooling operations to process the node features. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) provide novel hands-free interaction strategies. However, the performance of BCIs is affected by the user's mental energy to some extent. We defined the low-mental-energy (LME) condition as a combined condition of decreased mental energy and lack of sleep. We used a long period of work (>=18 h) to induce the LME condition, and then P300- and SSVEP-based BCI tasks were conducted in LME or normal conditions. Ten subjects were recruited in this study. Each subject participated in the LME- and normal-condition experiments within one week. For the P300-based BCI, we used two decoding algorithms: stepwise linear discriminant (SWLDA) and least square regression (LSR). For the SSVEP-based BCI, we used two decoding algorithms: canonical correlation analysis (CCA) and filter bank canonical correlation analysis (FBCCA). Accuracy and information transfer rate (ITR) were used as performance metrics. The experimental results showed that for the P300-based BCI, the average accuracy was reduced by approximately 35% (with a SWLDA classifier) and approximately 40% (with a LSR classifier); the average ITR was reduced by approximately 6 bits/min (with a SWLDA classifier) and approximately 7 bits/min (with an LSR classifier). For the SSVEP-based BCI, the average accuracy was reduced by approximately 40% (with a CCA classifier) and approximately 40% (with a FBCCA classifier); the average ITR was reduced by approximately 20 bits/min (with a CCA classifier) and approximately 19 bits/min (with a FBCCA classifier). Additionally, the amplitude and signal-to-noise ratio of the evoked electroencephalogram signals were lower in the LME condition, while the degree of fatigue and the task load of each subject were higher. Further experiments suggested that increasing stimulus size, flash duration, and flash number could improve BCI performance in LME conditions to some extent. Our experiments showed that the LME condition reduced BCI performance, the effects of LME on BCI did not rely on specific BCI types and specific decoding algorithms, and optimizing BCI parameters (e.g., stimulus size) can reduce these effects. With the development of smart logistics, current small distribution centers have begun to use intelligent equipment to indirectly read bar code information on courier sheets to carry out express sorting. However, limited by the cost, most of them choose relatively low-end sorting equipment in a warehouse environment that is complex. This single information identification method leads to a decline in the identification rate of sorting, affecting efficiency of the entire express sorting. Aimed at the above problems, an express recognition method based on deeper learning and multi-information fusion is proposed. The method is mainly aimed at bar code information and three segments of code information on the courier sheet, which is divided into two parts: target information detection and recognition. For the detection of target information, we used a method of deeper learning to detect the target, and to improve speed and precision we designed a target detection network based on the existing YOLOv4 network, Experiments show that the detection accuracy and speed of the redesigned target detection network were much improved. Next for recognition of two kinds of target information we first intercepted the image after positioning and used a ZBAR algorithm to decode the barcode image after interception. The we used Tesseract-OCR technology to identify the intercepted three segments code picture information, and finally output the information in the form of strings. This deeper learning-based multi-information identification method can help logistics centers to accurately obtain express sorting information from the database. The experimental results show that the time to detect a picture was 0.31 s, and the recognition accuracy was 98.5%, which has better robustness and accuracy than single barcode information positioning and recognition alone. We propose a conceptually simple, general framework and end-to-end approach to point cloud completion, entitled PCA-Net. This approach differs from the existing methods in that it does not require a "simple" network, such as multilayer perceptrons (MLPs), to generate a coarse point cloud and then a "complex" network, such as auto-encoders or transformers, to enhance local details. It can directly learn the mapping between missing and complete points, ensuring that the structure of the input missing point cloud remains unchanged while accurately predicting the complete points. This approach follows the minimalist design of U-Net. In the encoder, we encode the point clouds into point cloud blocks by iterative farthest point sampling (IFPS) and k-nearest neighbors and then extract the depth interaction features between the missing point cloud blocks by the attention mechanism. In the decoder, we introduce a new trilinear interpolation method to recover point cloud details, with the help of the coordinate space and feature space of low-resolution point clouds, and missing point cloud information. This paper also proposes a method to generate multi-view missing point cloud data using a 3D point cloud hidden point removal algorithm, so that each 3D point cloud model generates a missing point cloud through eight uniformly distributed camera poses. Experiments validate the effectiveness and superiority of PCA-Net in several challenging point cloud completion tasks, and PCA-Net also shows great versatility and robustness in real-world missing point cloud completion.
