Detection of nitro pollutants is an important topic in environmental protection. A total of 3 Cd (II) complexes (1–3) based on 3 soft organic isomers, n-(3,5-dicarboxylato benzyloxy) benzoic acid (n = 2, 3 or 4-H3DBB), and a linear N-donor ligand, 3-bis(imidazole-l-ylmethyl) benzene (3-bibz), have been synthesized hydrothermally. Structural diversity of Complexes 1–3 displays the architectural 2D or 3D change: Complex 1 exhibits a 2D network featuring tri-nuclear metal units, Complex 2 is a 3D framework based on similar tri-nuclear metal units, and Complex 3 shows a 3D network with binuclear units. Fluorescent sensing properties exhibited in all these complexes have been discovered to detect nitrobenzene (NB) selectively and sensitively. In particular, Complex 3 possesses high sensitivity for NB with the lowest detection limit of 1.15 × 10−10 M. The results of the theoretical calculation verified the fluorescence detection mechanism of NB by these Cd-based complexes. Water-lubricated material is the fundamental ingredient of a water-lubricated bearing (WLB), of which the friction and wear properties directly affect the working performance and service life of a WLB. We designed a micron-scale stripe texture and fabricated a negative microtexture mold by femtosecond laser etching. The microtextures were fabricated onto the surface of Thordon and polyurethane water-lubricated materials by a precision thermoforming machine. Tribological tests showed that the microstripe texture on water-lubricated materials had lower friction and wear properties than that on pristine surface materials. The results demonstrated that the presence of the microstripe texture effectively improved the friction and anti-wear properties of the water-lubricated materials. Three different iridium(III) complexes, labelled as Ir1–Ir3, each bearing a unique anchoring moiety (diethyl [2,2′-bipyridine]-4,4′-dicarboxylate, tetraethyl [2,2′-bipyridine]-4,4′-diylbis(phosphonate), or [2,2′-biquinoline]-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid), were synthesized to serve as photosensitizers. Their electrochemical and photophysical characteristics were systematically investigated. ERP measurements were employed to elucidate the impact of the anchoring groups on the photocatalytic hydrogen generation performance of the complexes. The novel iridium(III) complexes were integrated with platinized TiO2 (Pt–TiO2) nanoparticles and tested for their ability to catalyze hydrogen production under visible light. A H2 turnover number (TON) of up to 3670 was obtained upon irradiation for 120 h. The complexes with tetraethyl [2,2′-bipyridine]-4,4′-diylbis(phosphonate) anchoring groups were found to outperform those bearing other moieties, which may be one of the important steps in the development of high-efficiency iridium(III) photosensitizers for hydrogen generation by water splitting. Additionally, toxicological analyses found no significant difference in the toxicity to luminescent bacteria of any of the present iridium(III) complexes compared with that of TiO2, which implies that the complexes investigated in this study do not pose a high risk to the aquatic environment compared to TiO2. Cadmium (Cd) is a highly toxic and cumulative environmental pollutant. Siderophores are heavy metal chelators with high affinity to heavy metals, such as Cd. Ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) has a potential remediation capacity for soils contaminated by heavy metals. Consequently, using ryegrass alongside beneficial soil microorganisms that produce siderophores may be an effective means to remediate soils contaminated with Cd. In this study, the Bacillus strains WL1210 and CD303, which were previously isolated from the rhizospheres of Nitraria tangutorum in Wulan and Peganum harmala L. in Dachaidan, Qinghai, China, respectively, both arid and sandy environments, were evaluated for heavy metal pollution mitigation. Our quantitative analyses have discerned that the two bacterial strains possess commendable attributes of phosphorus (P) solubilization and potassium (K) dissolution, coupled with the capacity to produce phytohormones. To assess the heavy metal stress resilience of these strains, they were subjected to a cadmium concentration gradient, revealing their incremental growth despite cadmium presence, indicative of a pronounced tolerance threshold. The subsequent phylogenetic analysis, bolstered by robust genomic data from conserved housekeeping genes, including 16S rDNA, gyr B gene sequencing, as well as dnaK and recA, delineated a species-level phylogenetic tree, thereby confirming the strains as Bacillus atrophaeus. Additionally, we identified the types of iron-carrier-producing strains as catechol (WL1210) and carboxylic acid ferrophilin (CD303). A genomic analysis uncovered functional genes in strain CD303 associated with plant growth and iron carrier biosynthesis, such as fnr and iscA. Ryegrass seed germination assays, alongside morphological and physiological evaluations under diverse heavy metal stress, underscored the strains' potential to enhance ryegrass growth under high cadmium stress when treated with bacterial suspensions. The bacterial strain is key to fermentation, and the intestinal tract in livestock and poultry is a resource bank of good natural strains. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of soybean meal fermented using Lactobacillus casei, isolated from healthy broiler intestines with excellent organic acid production, on the intestinal health and growth performance of broilers. A total of 120 Arbor Acre male broiler chickens aged 21 days were fed until 42 days of age. These chickens were randomly divided into four groups with five replicates per group. Each replicate contained six broiler chickens. The specific groups were the control group (basal diet), the low-dose fermented soybean meal (FSBM) additive group (FSBML, basal diet + 0.2 kg/t FSBM), the middle-dose FSBM additive group (FSBMM, basal diet + 2 kg/t FSBM), and the high-dose FSBM additive group (FSBMH, basal diet + 5 kg/t FSBM). The results demonstrated a significant increase in the average daily feed intake (ADFI) and average daily gain (ADG) of the FSBMH group (p < 0.05). The FSBMH group displayed a significantly increased villus height (VH) to crypt depth (CD) ratio (VH/CD) for the duodenum (p < 0.05) and rectum (p < 0.05). The examination of the ileal mucosa showed that the FSBMH group (p < 0.05) had significantly higher levels of glutathione (GSH) activity, as well as higher relative mRNA expression of ZO-1, ZO-2, Occludin, IL-4, IL-6, MCP-1, TNF-α, IFN-α, IFN-β, and IFN-γ. However, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were significantly lower in the FSBMH group (p < 0.05). The aim of this study is to produce a biodegradable food packaging material that reduces environmental pollution and protects food safety. The effects of total solids content, substrate ratio, polyphenol content, and magnetic stirring time on bovine bone gelatin/sodium carboxymethylcellulose nanoemulsion (BBG/SCMC–NE) were investigated using particle size, PDI, turbidity, rheological properties, and zeta potential as evaluation indexes. The micro, structural, antioxidant, encapsulation, and release properties were characterized after deriving its optimal preparation process. The results showed that the nanoemulsion was optimally prepared with a total solids content of 2%, a substrate ratio of 9:1, a polyphenol content of 0.2%, and a magnetic stirring time of 60 min. SEM showed that the nanoemulsion showed a dense and uniform reticulated structure. FTIR and XRD results showed that covalent cross-linking of proteins and polysaccharides altered the structure of gelatin molecular chains to a more compact form but did not change its semi-crystalline structure. DSC showed that the 9:1 BBG/SCMC–NE had a higher thermal denaturation temperature and greater thermal stability, and its DPPH scavenging rate could reach 79.25% and encapsulation rate up to 90.88%, with excellent slow-release performance. Simple Summary: Crosstalk regulation is a common regulatory phenomenon in Streptomyces, typically mediated by regulatory factors within gene clusters. Utilizing these regulatory factors to enhance the production of target compounds represents an important approach. This study focuses on two regulatory factors, PteF and PteR, within the filipin gene cluster in Streptomyces avermitilis, investigating their effects on both avermectin production and overall cellular metabolism. The findings provide theoretical groundwork for constructing high-yielding engineered strains of avermectins and provide new insights into the role of PteF in the biosynthesis of avermectins and its impact on cellular metabolic processes. Crosstalk regulation is widespread in Streptomyces species. Elucidating the influence of a specific regulator on target biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) and cell metabolism is crucial for strain improvement through regulatory protein engineering. PteF and PteR are two regulators that control the biosynthesis of filipin, which competes for building blocks with avermectins in Streptomyces avermitilis. However, little is known about the effects of PteF and PteR on avermectin biosynthesis. In this study, we investigated their impact on avermectin biosynthesis and global cell metabolism. The deletion of pteF resulted in a 55.49% avermectin titer improvement, which was 23.08% higher than that observed from pteR deletion, suggesting that PteF plays a more significant role in regulating avermectin biosynthesis, while PteF hardly influences the transcription level of genes in avermectin and other polyketide BGCs. Transcriptome data revealed that PteF exhibited a global regulatory effect. Avermectin production enhancement could be attributed to the repression of the tricarboxylic acid cycle and fatty acid biosynthetic pathway, as well as the enhancement of pathways supplying acyl-CoA precursors. These findings provide new insights into the role of PteF on avermectin biosynthesis and cell metabolism, offering important clues for designing and building efficient metabolic pathways to develop high-yield avermectin-producing strains. Oil spill cleanup in water remains a critical challenge due to the harmful secondary pollution from conventional methods such as burning or chemical degradation. Herein, we present a facile method to fabricate a superhydrophobic and superoleophilic polyurethane (PU) foil for efficient and environmentally friendly oil/water separation. More specifically, micropillar arrays were embedded onto the foil surface through a nanoimprinting process. Microporous structures were generated at the foil cross-section by a supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) saturation method. The dimensions of pillar and pore structures were optimized with the aim of boosting selective wetting (i.e., water repellency and oil attraction) properties. As a result, the developed PU foil shows an oil absorption efficiency nearly 4 times higher than a pristine reference. Moreover, the structured PU foil stably retains the absorbed oil for over a week, demonstrating an absorption capacity of nearly 400%, which is also much superior than the unstructured sample. Our concept of combining both topographical micropillars and cross-sectional micropores onto PU foil provides a novel approach for achieving efficient and environmental friendly oil/water separation. Poor selectivity to tumor cells is a major drawback in the clinical application of the antitumor drug doxorubicin (DOX). Peptide–drug conjugates (PDCs) constructed by modifying antitumor drugs with peptide ligands that have high affinity to certain overexpressed receptors in tumor cells are increasingly assessed for their possibility of tumor-selective drug delivery. However, peptide ligands composed of natural L-configuration amino acids have the defects of easy enzymatic degradation and insufficient biological stability. In this study, two new PDCs (LT7-SS-DOX and DT7-SS-DOX) were designed and synthesized by conjugating a transferrin receptor (TfR) peptide ligand LT7 (HAIYPRH) and its retro-inverso analog DT7 (hrpyiah), respectively, with DOX via a disulfide bond linker. Both conjugates exhibited targeted antiproliferative effects on TfR overexpressed tumor cells and little toxicity to TfR low-expressed normal cells compared with free DOX. Moreover, the DT7-SS-DOX conjugate possessed higher serum stability, more sustained reduction-triggered drug release characteristics, and stronger in vitro antiproliferative activity as compared to LT7-SS-DOX. In conclusion, the coupling of antitumor drugs with the DT7 peptide ligand can be used as a promising strategy for the further development of stable and efficient PDCs with the potential to facilitate TfR-targeted drug delivery. The discrimination and recognition of biological targets, such as proteins, cells, and bacteria, are of utmost importance in various fields of biological research and production. These include areas like biological medicine, clinical diagnosis, and microbiology analysis. In order to efficiently and cost-effectively identify a specific target from a wide range of possibilities, researchers have developed a technique called differential sensing. Unlike traditional "lock-and-key" sensors that rely on specific interactions between receptors and analytes, differential sensing makes use of cross-reactive receptors. These sensors offer less specificity but can cross-react with a wide range of analytes to produce a large amount of data. Many pattern recognition strategies have been developed and have shown promising results in identifying complex analytes. To create advanced sensor arrays for higher analysis efficiency and larger recognizing range, various nanomaterials have been utilized as sensing probes. These nanomaterials possess distinct molecular affinities, optical/electrical properties, and biological compatibility, and are conveniently functionalized. Isocyanate esters are widely recognized for their superior curing capabilities. Leveraging this attribute, the current research formulated a modified cold-mixed asphalt blend using 4,4′-methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI). Tests and analyses of the MDI-modified asphalt with varying inclusion percentages of MDI revealed that a mixture containing 15% rock asphalt and 15% MDI-modified asphalt exhibited a more balanced, comprehensive performance. We also conducted an examination of the role and properties of MDI in asphalt modification using molecular dynamics simulations. The cold-curing properties of MDI-modified asphalt as compared to petroleum asphalt were evaluated based on its density, free volume analysis, cohesive energy density, and glass transition temperature. Implementing the LB-13 gradation—a cold-mixed asphalt gradation with a nominal particle size of 13.2 mm recommended by Chinese specifications—we prepared MDI-modified cold-mixed asphalt and carried out analyses of its mechanical characteristics, high-temperature performance, and water damage resistance. The results demonstrated that MDI-modified asphalt showcases excellent ductility, flexibility, and aging resistance, surpassing the performance of petroleum asphalt. The stability, high-temperature rutting, and water damage resistance of the MDI-modified cold-mixed asphalt exceeded the requirements for hot-mixed asphalt. This research provides theoretical and experimental support for isocyanate ester applications in asphalt engineering, presenting significant value for practical engineering applications. The aminated sodium lignosulfonate (AELS) was prepared through a Mannich reaction and characterized via FT-IR, TG, SEM and XPS in this study. Subsequently, the adsorption capacity of AELS for methyl blue (MB) was evaluated under various conditions such as pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, initial concentration and temperature. The adsorption kinetics, isotherms and thermodynamics of AELS for methyl blue were investigated and analyzed. The results were found to closely adhere to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm model, suggesting a single-molecular-layer adsorption process. Notably, the maximum adsorption capacity of AELS for methyl blue (153.42 mg g−1) was achieved under the specified conditions (T = 298 K, MAELS = 0.01 g, pH = 6, VMB = 25 mL, C0 = 300 mg L−1). The adsorption process was determined to be spontaneous and endothermic. Following five adsorption cycles, the adsorption capacity exhibited a minimal reduction from 118.99 mg g−1 to 114.33 mg g−1, indicating good stability. Aluminum butylmethylphosphinate AiBMP as a flame retardant and phenolphthalein as a synergistic agent were applied in a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE)) in the current study. The thermal properties, flame retardancy, crystallization and mechanical properties of TPEE/AiMBP with or without phenolphthalein were investigated using various characterizations, including the limiting oxygen index (LOI), vertical burning test (UL 94), thermogravimetric analysis TG, differential scanning calorimetry, microcombustion calorimeter (MCC), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and mechanical tests. The results revealed that AiBMP alone is an efficient flame retardant of TPEE. Adding 15 wt.% AiBMP increases the LOI value of TPEE from 20% to 36%. The formula TPEE-15 AiBMP passed the UL 94 V-0 rating with no dripping occurring. The MCC test shows that AiBMP depresses the heat release of TPEE. In comparison with pure TPEE, the heat release rate at peak temperature and the heat release capacity of TPEE-15AiBMP are reduced by 46.1% and 55.5%, respectively. With the phenolphthalein added, the formula TPEE/13AiBMP/2Ph shows a higher char yield at high temperatures (>600 °C), and the char layer is stronger and more condensed than TPEE-15AiBMP.The tensile strength and elongation at break values of TPEE-13AiBMP-2Ph are increased by 29.63% and 4.8% in comparison with TPEE-15AiBMP. The SEM morphology of the fracture surface of the sample shows that phenolphthalein acts as a plasticizer to improve the dispersion of AiBMP within the matrix. The good char charming ability of phenolphthalein itself and improved dispersion of AiBMP make the TPEE composites achieve both satisfying flame retardancy and high mechanical properties. When the thermal maturity of the Longmaxi Formation in the southern Sichuan Basin is too high, the pore structure of shale becomes poor. Therefore, to investigate the effect of organic matter thermal maturity on shale pore structure, a study was conducted. Using the Longmaxi Formation shale in the southern Sichuan Basin as an example, the intrinsic relationship between shale porosity, pore structure parameters, organic matter laser Raman maturity, and organic matter graphitization degree was examined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, particle helium porosity measurement, organic matter micro-laser Raman spectroscopy, and gas adsorption experiments. The results indicate that thermal maturity is the macroscopic manifestation of the graphitization degree of organic matter, and the correlation coefficient between the two is 0.85. A thermal maturity of 3.5% (with a corresponding organic matter graphitization degree of 17%) aligns with the highest values of shale porosity, pore volume, and pore-specific surface area across all pore size conditions. The evolution model of shale pore structure can be divided into two stages. The first stage is characterized by a thermal maturity between 2.0% and 3.5% (with a corresponding degree of graphitization of organic matter between 0% and 17%). During this stage, the number and connectivity of micro-macropores increase with increasing thermal maturity. The second stage is marked by a thermal maturity between 3.5% and 4.3% (with a corresponding degree of graphitization of organic matter between 17% and 47.32%). Basement faults are present, leading to abnormally high thermal maturity, poor preservation conditions, continuous generation of micropores, better connectivity, and a reduced number of pores. Medium macropores with good connectivity suffer from gas loss in the fracture network, leading to the collapse and disappearance of pores. Photocatalysis is one of the effective ways to degrade pollutant antibiotics. Agar is used as the adsorption module to provide abundant pore structure. Carbon dots (CDs) are selected as light energy conversion components. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is used as the main material of the catalyst. Agar/CDs/g-C3N4-functionalized aerogel with a unique 3D pore structure is assembled. The Agar/CDs/g-C3N4 aerogel shows the highest photocurrent density, which is 3.7 times that of agar, 2.4 times that of 3-g-C3N4 and 1.6 times that of Agar/g-C3N4 aerogel. Compared with 3-g-C3N4 and Agar/g-C3N4 aerogel, which can completely remove AMX after 75 min, Agar/CDs/g-C3N4 aerogel can degrade amoxicillin (AMX) completely after 45 min of illumination. The reason is that Agar/CDs/g-C3N4 aerogel has a larger specific surface area, richer functional groups, a wider spectral range, higher photocurrent density and better carrier migration and separation efficiency. Simple Summary: In the United States, ovarian cancer (OCa) is the most lethal of all gynecologic malignancies. Survival rates for OCa with clinically localized disease have been enhanced by presently approved therapies; however, the majority (~90%) of patients with high-grade serous OCa (HGSOC) relapse with incurable metastases. In this investigation, we explored the hypothesis that the elevated basal endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) in OCa could be a significant vulnerability, offering a potential strategy to address OCa heterogeneity. We specifically tested the utility of targeting increased ERS in OCa cells by engaging the novel target lysosomal acid lipase A (LIPA) using the unique compound ERX-41. Our findings indicate that ERX-41 is a new targeted therapy that specifically targets the LIPA protein through a distinct mechanism of action. Furthermore, our results reveal that the binding of ERX-41 to LIPA leads to the induction of ERS and cell death in OCa cells. Ovarian cancer (OCa) is the most lethal form of gynecologic cancer, and the tumor heterogeneities at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels fuel tumor resistance to standard therapies and pose a substantial clinical challenge. Here, we tested the hypothesis that the heightened basal endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) observed in OCa represents an exploitable vulnerability and may overcome tumor heterogeneity. Our recent studies identified LIPA as a novel target to induce ERS in cancer cells using the small molecule ERX-41. However, the role of LIPA and theutility of ERX-41 to treat OCa remain unknown. Expression analysis using the TNMplot web tool, TCGA data sets, and immunohistochemistry analysis using a tumor tissue array showed that LIPA is highly expressed in OCa tissues, compared to normal tissues. ERX-41 treatment significantly reduced the cell viability and colony formation ability and promoted the apoptosis of OCa cells. Mechanistic studies revealed a robust and consistent induction of ERS markers, including CHOP, elF2α, PERK, and ATF4, upon ERX-41 treatment. In xenograft and PDX studies, ERX-41 treatment resulted in a significant reduction in tumor growth. Collectively, our results suggest that ERX-41 is a novel therapeutic agent that targets the LIPA with a unique mechanism of ERS induction, which could be exploited to treat heterogeneity in OCa. Glutathione transferases (GSTs) are a superfamily of dimeric proteins associated with the detoxification of various reactive electrophiles and responsive to a multitude of stressors. We individually substituted Lys64 and Glu78 with Ala using site-directed mutagenesis to understand the role of subunit interactions in the structure and enzymatic properties of a rice GST (OsGSTU17). The wild-type OsGSTU17 lost the conserved hydrogen bond between subunits in tau class GSTs due to conserved Tyr92 replaced with Phe92, but still exhibited high substrate activities, and thermal stability remained in its dimeric structure. The significant decrease in thermal stability and obvious changes in the structure of mutant K64A implied that conserved Lys64 might play an essential role in the structural stability of tau class GSTs. The mutant E78A, supposed to be deprived of hydrogen and salt bonds between subunits, appeared in the soluble form of dimers, even though its tertiary structure altered and stability declined dramatically. These results suggest that the hydrogen and ionic bonds provided by conserved residues are not as important for OsGSTU17 dimerization and enzymatic properties. These results further supplement our understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of GSTs and provide a theoretical basis for improving crop resistance through targeted modification of GSTs. The autonomous shipping industry is increasingly focusing on enhancing the safety and reliability of software-based systems. Conducting a risk assessment is a requirement for demonstrating the safety equivalence of autonomous ships based on such systems to conventional vessels. Traditional risk assessment models, however, primarily focus on hardware failures, often overlooking potential software-related failures and functional inadequacies. This study proposes a framework integrating Software Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), System–Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA), and Bayesian Network (BN) for risk identification of autonomous ship software systems. The results of a case study reveal that the framework sufficiently addresses the multifaceted nature of risks related to software in autonomous ships. Based on the findings of this study, we suggest the need for standardization of software architecture development in the autonomous ship industry and highlight the necessity for an enhanced understanding of AI-specific risks and the development of tailored risk assessment methodologies. Cellulose-based carbon (CBC) is widely known for its porous structure and high specific surface area and is liable to adsorb gas molecules and macromolecular pollutants. However, the application of CBC in gas sensing has been little studied. In this paper, a ZnO/CBC heterojunction was formed by means of simple co-precipitation and high-temperature carbonization. As a new ammonia sensor, the prepared ZnO/CBC sensor can detect ammonia that the previous pure ZnO ammonia sensor cannot at room temperature. It has a great gas sensing response, stability, and selectivity to an ammonia concentration of 200 ppm. Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease characterized by the immune system attacking self hair follicles, mainly in the scalp. There is no complete cure, and the pathogenesis is still not fully understood. Here, sequencing of skin tissues collected from 1-month-old coarse- and fine-wool lambs identified miR-199a-3p as the only small RNA significantly overexpressed in the fine-wool group, suggesting a role in hair follicle development. MiR-199a-3p expression was concentrated in the dermal papillae cells of sheep hair follicles, along with enhanced β-catenin expression and the inhibition of PTPRF protein expression. We also successfully constructed a mouse model of alopecia areata by intracutaneous injection with an miR-199a-3p antagomir. Injection of the miR-199a-3p agomir resulted in hair growth and earlier anagen entry. Conversely, local injection with the miR-199a-3p antagomir resulted in suppressed hair growth at the injection site, upregulation of immune system-related genes, and downregulation of hair follicle development-related genes. In vivo and in vitro analyses demonstrated that miR-199a-3p regulates hair follicle development through the PTPRF/β-catenin axis. In conclusion, a mouse model of alopecia areata was successfully established by downregulation of a small RNA, suggesting the potential value of miR-199a-3p in the study of alopecia diseases. Endometrial cancer (ECa) is the most common female gynecologic cancer. When comparing the two histological subtypes of endometrial cancer, Type II tumors are biologically more aggressive and have a worse prognosis than Type I tumors. Current treatments for Type II tumors are ineffective, and new targeted therapies are urgently needed. LIFR and its ligand, LIF, have been shown to play a critical role in the progression of multiple solid cancers and therapy resistance. The role of LIF/LIFR in the progression of Type II ECa, on the other hand, is unknown. We investigated the role of LIF/LIFR signaling in Type II ECa and tested the efficacy of EC359, a novel small-molecule LIFR inhibitor, against Type II ECa. The analysis of tumor databases has uncovered a correlation between diminished survival rates and increased expression of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), suggesting a potential connection between altered LIF expression and unfavorable overall survival in Type II ECa. The results obtained from cell viability and colony formation assays demonstrated a significant decrease in the growth of Type II ECa LIFR knockdown cells in comparison to vector control cells. Furthermore, in both primary and established Type II ECa cells, pharmacological inhibition of the LIF/LIFR axis with EC359 markedly decreased cell viability, long-term cell survival, and invasion, and promoted apoptosis. Additionally, EC359 treatment reduced the activation of pathways driven by LIF/LIFR, such as AKT, mTOR, and STAT3. Tumor progression was markedly inhibited by EC359 treatment in two different patient-derived xenograft models in vivo and patient-derived organoids ex vivo. With the popularity of mobile devices, lightweight deep learning models have important value in various application scenarios. However, how to effectively fuse the feature information from different dimensions while ensuring the model's lightness and high accuracy is a problem that has not been fully solved. In this paper, we propose a novel feature fusion module, called φunit, which can fuse the features extracted by different dimensional networks according to the order of feature information with a small computational cost, avoiding the problems of information fragmentation caused by simple feature stacking in traditional information fusion. Based on φunit, this paper further builds an extremely lightweight model φNet, which can achieve performance close to the highest accuracy on several public datasets under the condition of very limited parameter scale. The core idea of φunit is to use deconvolution to reduce the discrepancy among the features to be fused, and to lower the possibility of feature information fragmentation after fusion by fusing the features from different dimensions sequentially. φNet is a lightweight network composed of multiple φunits and bottleneck modules, with a parameter scale of only 1.24 M, much smaller than traditional lightweight models. This paper conducts experiments on public datasets, and φNet achieves an accuracy of 71.64% on the food101 dataset, and an accuracy of 75.31% on the random 50-category food101 dataset, both higher than or close to the highest accuracy. Arctic navigation faces numerous challenges, including uncertain ice conditions, rapid weather changes, limited communication capabilities, and lack of search and rescue infrastructure, all of which increase the risks involved. According to an Arctic Council statistical report, a remarkable 2638 maritime accidents were recorded in Arctic waters between 2005 and 2017, showing a fluctuating upward trend. This study collected and analyzed ship accident data in Arctic waters to identify the various accident scenarios and primary risk factors that impact Arctic navigation safety. By utilizing data-driven algorithms, a model for predicting ship navigation accidents in Arctic waters was constructed, providing an in-depth understanding of the risk factors that make accidents more likely. The research findings are of practical significance for enhancing quantitative risk assessment, specifically focusing on the navigational risks in Arctic waters. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) has a high sensitivity and strong specificity, and is widely used in the analysis of gene expression. Selecting appropriate internal reference genes is the key to accurately analyzing the expression changes of target genes by RT-qPCR. To find out the most suitable internal reference genes for studying the gene expression in Broussonetia papyrifera under abiotic stresses (including drought, salt, and ZnSO4 treatments), seven different tissues of B. papyrifera, as well as the roots, stems, and leaves of B. papyrifera under the abiotic stresses were used as test materials, and 15 candidate internal reference genes were screened based on the transcriptome data via RT-qPCR. Then, the expression stability of the candidate genes was comprehensively evaluated through the software geNorm (v3.5), NormFinder (v0.953), BestKeeper (v1.0), and RefFinder. The best internal reference genes and their combinations were screened out according to the analysis results. rRNA and Actin were the best reference genes under drought stress. Under salt stress, DOUB, HSP, NADH, and rRNA were the most stable reference genes. Under heavy metal stress, HSP and NADH were the most suitable reference genes. EIF3 and Actin were the most suitable internal reference genes in the different tissues of B. papyrifera. In addition, HSP, rRNA, NADH, and UBC were the most suitable internal reference genes for the abiotic stresses and the different tissues of B. papyrifera. The expression patterns of DREB and POD were analyzed by using the selected stable and unstable reference genes. This further verified the reliability of the screened internal reference genes. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and serious disease with high morbidity and mortality, and its pathophysiological mechanisms are not fully understood. Increasing evidence suggests an important role of ferroptosis in AKI. Krüppel-like factor 15 (KLF15) is a transcription factor involved in several metabolic diseases, but its role in AKI and ferroptosis remains unclear. In this study, we explored the potential role of KLF15 using a folic acid-induced AKI model. Our study showed that KLF15 expression was reduced in kidney tissues of AKI mice, and KLF15 knockout exacerbated folic acid-induced ferroptosis and kidney injury. In vitro studies revealed that the ferroptosis inducer erastin significantly suppressed KLF15 expression in human tubular epithelial cells. Notably, the overexpression of KLF15 attenuated ferroptosis, as evidenced by a decrease in the lipid peroxidation marker of malondialdehyde and the upregulation of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), while KLF15 knockdown with shRNA exerted the opposite effect. Mechanistically, KLF15 stabilized the protein of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) and subsequently increased the GPX4 level. This paper examines whether the widespread adoption of digital technologies in cities has increased attractiveness. Based on China's smart-city construction (SCC), a pilot program aimed at promoting applications of digital technologies in cities, this paper finds that SCC has led to a higher urban population growth in smart cities in China. Two potential channels are suggested by mechanism analysis: improved ecological environment resulting from digital governance with respect to pollution and green production; essential digital information provided by internet users. Specifically, relying on difference-in-differences analysis, the results reveal that, from 2005 to 2017, SCC in China led to approximately 4.4% higher urban population growth in smart cities relative to non-smart cities. In particular, evidence from migrant survey data suggests that smart cities are more favorable destinations for distant migrants, and migrants with higher educational attainment and income. As a vital guarantee of food security for many countries, international food trade has been threatened by volatile international political ties in recent years. However, the existing literature lacks empirical evidence on the relationship between political ties and food export stability. Therefore, this article examines the impact of political ties on food export stability using United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) voting data and export data on food products from 2010 to 2018. The chosen timeframe ensures the exclusion of potential influences from both the financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, enhancing the robustness of the findings. The test results show that the deterioration of political ties can reduce food export stability: the higher the voting dissimilarity of the trading partners in the UNGA, the less stable food exports. Mechanism analysis suggests that political ties can impede food export stability by increasing tariff and non-tariff barriers. The analysis of heterogeneity indicates that the advancement of urbanization in importing countries intensifies the adverse effects of political ties on food export stability. However, this negative impact is less pronounced when importing countries have more allocation and higher productivity regarding land resources such as cultivated land and forests. This article adds to the literature on the relationship between political ties, trade, land resource optimization, and food security. Anticipated permafrost thaw in upcoming decades may exert significant impacts on forest soil nitrogen (N) dynamics. The rate of soil N mineralization (Nmin) plays a crucial role in determining soil N availability. Nevertheless, our understanding remains limited regarding how biotic and abiotic factors influence the Nmin of forest soil in response to permafrost thaw. In this study, we investigated the implications of permafrost thaw on Nmin within a hemiboreal forest based on a field investigation along the degree of permafrost thaw, having monitored permafrost conditions for eight years. The results indicate that permafrost thaw markedly decreased Nmin values. Furthermore, Nmin demonstrated positive associations with soil substrates (namely, soil organic carbon and soil total nitrogen), microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen, and soil moisture content. The decline in Nmin due to permafrost thaw was primarily attributed to the diminished quality and quantity of soil substrates rather than alterations in plant community composition. Collectively, our results underscore the pivotal role of soil substrate and microbial biomass in guiding forest soil N transformations in the face of climate-induced permafrost thaw. Mining process models of medical behavior from electronic medical records is an effective way to optimize clinical pathways. However, clinical medical behavior is an extremely complex field with high nonlinearity and variability, and thus we need to adopt a more effective method. In this study, we developed a fuzzy process mining method for complex clinical pathways. Firstly, we designed a multi-level expert classification system with fuzzy values to preserve finer details. Secondly, we categorized medical events into long-term and temporary events for more specific data processing. Subsequently, we utilized electronic medical record (EMR) data of acute pancreatitis spanning 9 years, collected from a large general hospital in China, to evaluate the effectiveness of our method. The results demonstrated that our modeling process was simple and understandable, allowing for a more comprehensive representation of medical intricacies. Moreover, our method exhibited high patient coverage (>0.94) and discrimination (>0.838). These findings were corroborated by clinicians, affirming the accuracy and effectiveness of our approach. Despite increasing knowledge of the fitness costs of viability and fecundity involved in the herbicide-resistant weeds, relatively little is known about the linkage between herbicide resistance costs and phytochemical cues in weed species and biotypes. This study demonstrated relative fitness and phytochemical responses in six herbicide-resistant weeds and their susceptible counterparts. There were significant differences in the parameters of viability (growth and photosynthesis), fecundity fitness (flowering and seed biomass) and a ubiquitous phytochemical (–)-loliolide levels between herbicide-resistant weeds and their susceptible counterparts. Fitness costs occurred in herbicide-resistant Digitaria sanguinalis and Leptochloa chinensis but they were not observed in herbicide-resistant Alopecurus japonicas, Eleusine indica, Ammannia arenaria, and Echinochloa crus-galli. Correlation analysis indicated that the morphological characteristics of resistant and susceptible weeds were negatively correlated with (–)-loliolide concentration, but positively correlated with lipid peroxidation malondialdehyde and total phenol contents. Principal component analysis showed that the lower the (–)-loliolide concentration, the stronger the adaptability in E. crus-galli and E. indica. Therefore, not all herbicide-resistant weeds have fitness costs, but the findings showed several examples of resistance leading to improved fitness even in the absence of herbicides. With the accelerated development of nanotechnology in recent years, nanomaterials have become increasingly prevalent in the medical field. The poly (lactic acid–glycolic acid) copolymer (PLGA) is one of the most commonly used biodegradable polymers. It is biocompatible and can be fabricated into various nanostructures, depending on requirements. Ischemic stroke is a common, disabling, and fatal illness that burdens society. There is a need for further improvement in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. PLGA-based nanostructures can facilitate therapeutic compounds' passage through the physicochemical barrier. They further provide both sustained and controlled release of therapeutic compounds when loaded with drugs for the treatment of ischemic stroke. The clinical significance and potential of PLGA-based nanostructures can also be seen in their applications in cell transplantation and imaging diagnostics of ischemic stroke. Processing quality is an important economic wheat trait. The marker-assisted selection (MAS) method plays a vital role in accelerating genetic improvement of processing quality. In the present study, processing quality in a panel of 165 cultivars grown in four environments was evaluated by mixograph. An association mapping analysis using 90 K and 660 K single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) arrays identified 24 loci in chromosomes 1A, 1B (4), 1D, 2A, 2B (2), 3A, 3B, 3D (2), 4A (3), 4B, 5D (2), 6A, 7B (2) and 7D (2), explaining 10.2–42.5% of the phenotypic variances. Totally, 15 loci were stably detected in two or more environments. Nine loci coincided with known genes or QTL, whereas the other fifteen were novel loci. Seven candidate genes encoded 3-ketoacyl-CoA synthase, lipoxygenase, pyridoxal phosphate-dependent decarboxylase, sucrose synthase 3 and a plant lipid transfer protein/Par allergen. Beef skin gelatin can be used as a good substitute for animal fat in meat patties. In this paper, the effect of different parameters on low-fat beef patties with cowhide gelatin substituted for beef fat (0, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) prepared by ultra-high pressure assisted technology was investigated by texture, cooking loss, and sensory scores. The beef patties were also stored at 0–4 °C for 0, 7, 14, 21, and 28 d. The differences and changing rules of fatty acid and amino acid compositions and contents of beef patties with different fat contents were investigated by simulating gastrointestinal digestion in vitro. The optimal process formulation of low-fat beef patties with cowhide gelatin was determined by experimental optimization as follows: ultra-high pressure 360 MPa, ultra-high of pressure time of 21 min, NaCl addition of 1.5%, compound phosphate addition of 0.3%. The addition of cowhide gelatin significantly increased monounsaturated fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, amino acid content, and protein digestibility of beef patties (p < 0.05). Moreover, with the extension of storage time, the content of saturated fatty acids was significantly higher (p < 0.05), the content of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids was significantly lower (p < 0.05), the content of amino acids was significantly lower (p < 0.05), and protein digestibility was significantly lower (p < 0.05) under all substitution ratios. Overall, beef patties with 75% and 100% substitution ratios had better digestibility characteristics. The aim of this study was to microencapsulate probiotic bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus 11073) using whey-protein-isolate (WPI)–octenyl-succinic-anhydride-starch (OSA-starch)-complex coacervates and to investigate the effects on probiotic bacterial viability during spray drying, simulated gastrointestinal digestion, thermal treatment and long-term storage. The optimum mixing ratio and pH for the preparation of WPI-OSA-starch-complex coacervates were determined to be 2:1 and 4.0, respectively. The combination of WPI and OSA starch under these conditions produced microcapsules with smoother surfaces and more compact structures than WPI-OSA starch alone, due to the electrostatic attraction between WPI and OSA starch. As a result, WPI-OSA-starch microcapsules showed significantly (p < 0.05) higher viability (95.94 ± 1.64%) after spray drying and significantly (p < 0.05) better protection during simulated gastrointestinal digestion, heating (65 °C/30 min and 75 °C/10 min) and storage (4/25 °C for 12 weeks) than WPI-OSA-starch microcapsules. With the advent of the information age and rapid population growth, the urban transportation environment is deteriorating. Travel-route planning is a key issue in modern sustainable transportation systems. When conducting route planning, identifying the spatiotemporal disparities between planned routes and the routes chosen by actual drivers, as well as their underlying reasons, is an important method for optimizing route planning. In this study, we explore the spatial–temporal differences between planned routes and actual routes by studying the popular roads which are avoided by drivers (denoted as: PRAD) from car-hailing trajectories. By applying an improved Hidden Markov Model (HMM) map-matching algorithm to the original trajectories, we obtain the Origin-Destination (OD) matrix of vehicle travel and its corresponding actual routes, as well as the planned routes generated by the A* routing algorithm. We utilize the Jaccard index to quantify the similarity between actual and planned routes for the same OD pairs. The causes of PRADs are detected and further analyzed from the perspective of traffic conditions. By analyzing ride-hailing trajectories provided by DiDi, we examine the route behavior of drivers in Wuhan city on weekdays and weekends and discuss the relationship between traffic conditions and PRADs. The results indicate that the average accuracy of GNSS trajectory point-to-road map-matching reaches 88.83%, which is approximately 12% higher than the accuracy achieved by the HMM map-matching method proposed by Hu et al. Furthermore, the analysis of PRAD causes reveals that PRADs occurring on weekdays account for approximately 65% and are significantly associated with traffic congestion and accidents during that time. The K+ transporter KT/HAK/KUP (K+ transporter/high-affinity K+/K+ uptake) family has a critical effect on K+ uptake and translocation in plants under different environmental conditions. However, the functional analysis of KT/HAK/KUP members in sweet potatoes is still limited. The present work reported the physiological activity of a new gene, IbHAK11, in the KT/HAK/KUP family in sweet potatoes. IbHAK11 expression increased significantly in the low K+-tolerant line compared with the low K+-sensitive line following treatment with low K+ concentrations. IbHAK11 upregulation promoted root growth in Arabidopsis under low K+ conditions. Under high saline stress, transgenic lines had superior growth and photosynthetic characteristics compared with the wild-type (WT). As for IbHAK11-overexpressing plants, activation of both the non-enzymatic and enzymatic reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging systems was observed. Therefore, IbHAK11-overexpressing plants had lower malondialdehyde (MDA) and ROS levels (including H2O2 and O2−) compared with WT under salt-induced stress. We also found that under both low K+ and high salinity conditions, overexpression of IbHAK11 enhanced K+ translocation from the root to the shoot and decreased Na+ absorption in Arabidopsis. Consequently, IbHAK11 positively regulated K+ deficiency and high salinity stresses by regulating K+ translocation and Na+ uptake, thus maintaining K+/Na+ homeostasis in plants. Website fingerprinting is valuable for many security solutions as it provides insights into applications that are active on the network. Unfortunately, the existing techniques primarily focus on fingerprinting individual webpages instead of webpage transitions. However, it is a common scenario for users to follow hyperlinks to carry out their actions. In this paper, an adaptive symbolization method based on packet distribution information is proposed to represent network traffic. The Profile Hidden Markov Model (PHMM exploits positional information contained in network traffic sequences and is sensitive to webpage transitional information) is used to construct users' action patterns. We also construct user role models to represent different kinds of users and apply them to our web application identification framework to uncover more information. The experimental results demonstrate that compared to the equal interval and K-means symbolization algorithms, the adaptive symbolization method retains the maximum amount of information and is less time-consuming. For multi-class classification problems, a new kernel-free nonlinear classifier is presented, called the hard quadratic surface least squares regression (HQSLSR). It combines the benefits of the least squares loss function and quadratic kernel-free trick. The optimization problem of HQSLSR is convex and unconstrained, making it easy to solve. Further, to improve the generalization ability of HQSLSR, a softened version (SQSLSR) is proposed by introducing an ε -dragging technique, which can enlarge the between-class distance. The optimization problem of SQSLSR is solved by designing an alteration iteration algorithm. The convergence, interpretability and computational complexity of our methods are addressed in a theoretical analysis. The visualization results on five artificial datasets demonstrate that the obtained regression function in each category has geometric diversity and the advantage of the ε -dragging technique. In this paper, a kernel-free quadratic surface support vector regression with non-negative constraints (NQSSVR) is proposed for the regression problem. The task of the NQSSVR is to find a quadratic function as a regression function. By utilizing the quadratic surface kernel-free technique, the model avoids the difficulty of choosing the kernel function and corresponding parameters, and has interpretability to a certain extent. In fact, data may have a priori information that the value of the response variable will increase as the explanatory variable grows in a non-negative interval. Moreover, in order to ensure that the regression function is monotonically increasing on the non-negative interval, the non-negative constraints with respect to the regression coefficients are introduced to construct the optimization problem of NQSSVR. And the regression function obtained by NQSSVR matches this a priori information, which has been proven in the theoretical analysis. In addition, the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the primal problem and dual problem of NQSSVR, and the relationship between them are addressed. Experimental results on two artificial datasets and seven benchmark datasets validate the feasibility and effectiveness of our approach. Phosphorus is an essential macronutrient for plant growth and development, but phosphate resources are limited and rapidly depleting due to massive global agricultural demand. This study identified two genes in the phosphate transporter 2 (PHT2) family of soybean by bioinformatics. The expression patterns of two genes by qRT-PCR at leaves and all were induced by low-phosphate stress. After low-phosphate stress, GmPHT2;2 expression was significantly higher than GmPHT2;1, and the same trend was observed throughout the reproductive period. The result of heterologous expression of GmPHT2 in Arabidopsis knockout mutants of atpht2;1 shows that chloroplasts and whole-plant phosphorus content were significantly higher in plants complementation of GmPHT2;2 than in plants complementation of GmPHT2;1. This suggests that GmPHT2;2 may play a more important role in plant phosphorus metabolic homeostasis during low-phosphate stress than GmPHT2;1. In the yeast backfill assay, both genes were able to backfill the ability of the defective yeast to utilize phosphorus. GmPHT2 expression was up-regulated by a low-temperature treatment at 4 °C, implying that GmPHT2;1 may play a role in soybean response to low-temperature stress, in addition to being involved in phosphorus transport processes. GmPHT2;1 and GmPHT2;2 exhibit a cyclic pattern of circadian variation in response to light, with the same pattern of gene expression changes under red, blue, and white light conditions. GmPHT2 protein was found in the chloroplast, according to subcellular localization analysis. In contrast to the widely used sequence stratigraphic models for passive continental margins, the stacking patterns of strata within epeiric seas, which are influenced by regional tectonic activity, may display opposing characteristics during the same geological period. These variations serve as a record of basin evolution and also affect the accumulation of hydrocarbons within the strata. Our study investigated the development potential of the deep Longmaxi Shale in the southern Sichuan Basin by examining the sequence stratigraphy and sedimentary fill patterns. Using a combination of core observation, well-logging data analysis, and 3D seismic profile interpretation, we aimed to gain an understanding of the sedimentary fill history of the Longmaxi Shale during the Early Silurian. Our analysis revealed that deglaciation and regional tectonic events affected the sequence stratigraphy, resulting in unconformities that were identifiable using seismic data and wireline logs. Through an analysis of thirty wireline logs and two seismic profiles, we identified two third-order sequences suggested in the Lower Longmaxi Formation. Within the two third-order sequences were five systems tracts, with the first exhibiting a complete cycle of sea-level change and the second cycle being incomplete due to regional tectonic events. The graptolite succession on the upper Yangtze Platform provided a temporal view of the sequence stratigraphy and sedimentation rates of the Longmaxi Shale. The thickness trends of the systems tracts reflected the interplay of short-term eustasy fluctuations, subsidence, and uplift. Our analysis suggests that regional subsidence played a significant role in the deposition of the second transgressive systems tract (TST) in the Weiyuan and Luzhou areas, which represents a promising target for shale gas exploration, in addition to the first TST. However, the Changning area experienced a relative sea-level decrease due to the intense uplift of the Qianzhogn Paleo-uplift and the increased supply of sediment and is interpreted as a highstand systems tract (HST); it is not considered to have shale gas exploration potential. Road network data are an important part of many applications, e.g., intelligent transportation and urban planning. At present, most of the approaches to road network generation are dominated by single data sources including images, point cloud data, trajectories, etc., which may cause the fragmentation of information. This study proposes a novel strategy to obtain the vector data of road networks by combining images and trajectory data with a postprocessing method named RNITP. The designed RNITP includes two parts: an initial generation layer of road network detection and a postprocessing layer of vector map acquirement. At the first layer, there are three steps of road network detection including road information interpretation from images based on a new deep learning model (denoted as SPBAM-LinkNet), road detection from trajectories data by rasterizing, and road information fusion by using OR operation. The last layer is used to generate a vector map based on a postprocessing method that is focused on error identification and removal. Experiments were conducted using two kinds of datasets: CHN6-CUG road datasets and HB road datasets. The results show that the accuracy, F1 score, and MIoU of SPBAM-LinkNet on CHN6-CUG and HB were (0.9695, 0.7369, 0.7760) and (0.9387, 0.7257, 0.7514), respectively, which are better than other typical models (e.g., Unet, DeepLabv3+, D-Linknet, NL-Linknet). Fluorinated compounds are effective mineralization agents for the fabrication of plate-like α-Al2O3. However, in the preparation of plate-like α-Al2O3, it is still an extremely challenging task to reduce the content of fluoride while ensuring a low synthesis temperature. Herein, oxalic acid and NH4F are proposed for the first time as additives in the preparation of plate-like α-Al2O3. The results showed that plate-like α-Al2O3 can be synthesized at a low temperature of 850 °C with the synergistic effect of oxalic acid and 1 wt.% NH4F. Additionally, the synergistic effect of oxalic acid and NH4F not only can reduce the conversion temperature of α-Al2O3 but also can change the phase transition sequence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Developing cost-effective and high-efficiency catalysts for electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is crucial for energy conversions. Herein, a series of bimetallic NiFe metal–organic frameworks (NiFe-BDC) were prepared by a simple solvothermal method for alkaline OER. The synergistic effect between Ni and Fe as well as the large specific surface area lead to a high exposure of Ni active sites during the OER. The optimized NiFe-BDC-0.5 exhibits superior OER performances with a small overpotential of 256 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 and a low Tafel slope of 45.4 mV dec−1, which outperforms commercial RuO2 and most of the reported MOF-based catalysts reported in the literature. Milbemycins are a group of macrolide pesticides with great potential in the agricultural field owing to their high insecticidal activity and environmental compatibility. Milbemycin A3 and A4 with high bioactivities are the main components of milbemycin-derived products, which require a component ratio A4:A3 of 2.3- to 4.0-fold. Streptomyces bingchenggensis BC04 is a promising milbemycin producer, whereas the component ratio of its products (A4:A3 of 9.0-fold) could not meet the requirement for industrial production. To address this issue, we reconstructed the precursor biosynthetic pathways to fine tune the supply of different acyl-coenzyme A precursors required for milbemycin biosynthesis. Based on an analysis of the intracellular acyl-coenzyme A precursors, we reconstructed stepwise heterogeneous biosynthetic pathways of extender units for milbemycin biosynthesis. Then, we coordinated the supply of milbemycin biosynthetic starter units with temporal promoters. Thanks to these manipulations, we obtained an engineered strain with 39.5% milbemycin titer improvement to 3417.88 mg/L and a qualified component ratio A4:A3 of 3.3-fold. This work demonstrated that coordinating the precursor supply is a simple and effective approach to optimize the component ratio of A4:A3 in milbemycin fermentation products. Rice production is intimately related to water and nitrogen management, whereas rice yield inevitably decreases with extreme rainfall. Optimization of water and nitrogen management may mitigate the degree of rice yield reduction. Hence, we conducted a field experiment in a normal and wet year to investigate suitable water and nitrogen management that could reduce the risk of rice yield reduction. The field experiment comprised six water and nitrogen management methods, which included two irrigation methods (CF: continuous flooding; AWD: alternating wet and dry) and three nitrogen fertilizer levels (N0, N90, and N180: 0, 90, and 180 kg N ha−1, respectively). The results showed an average yield reduction of 23.5% in the wet year compared to normal year. The nitrogen rate of N0, N90, and N180 resulted in a 36.9%, 24.8%, and 11.0% of yield reduction in the wet year, which presented a decrease in yield reduction with the increase in nitrogen rate. Panicle contributed over almost 60% and 75% on average to biomass and total nitrogen uptake, but both the total amount and proportion of nitrogen uptake in panicle showed a decrease in the wet year. In addition, the rice yield showed a significant positive correlation with nitrogen uptake both in the normal and wet year. Therefore, in the wet year, the decrease in nitrogen uptake in panicle results in a yield reduction. With the increase in nitrogen rate, the nitrogen internal use efficiency (IEN) was significantly decreased in the normal year, while it increased in the wet year, and the nitrogen recovery use efficiency (REN) and nitrogen harvest index (HIN) were not affected by nitrogen rate. Therefore, these results suggested that increased nitrogen rate in a wet year could improve rice nitrogen uptake to reduce the risk of yield reduction and maintain the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE). Accurate fishing activity detection from the trajectories of fishing vessels can not only achieve high-precision fishery management but also ensure the reasonable and sustainable development of marine fishery resources. This paper proposes a new method to detect fishing vessels' fishing activities based on the defined local dynamic parameters and global statistical characteristics of vessel trajectories. On a local scale, the stop points and points of interest (POIs) in the vessel trajectory are extracted. Voyage extraction can then be conducted on this basis. After that, multiple characteristics based on motion and morphology on a global scale are defined to construct a logistic regression model for fishing behavior detection. To verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the method, vessel trajectory data, and fishing log data collected from Chinese ocean squid fishing vessels in Argentine waters in 2020 are integrated for fishing operation detection. Multiple evaluation metrics show that the proposed method can provide robust and accurate recognition results. Moreover, further analysis of the temporal and spatial distribution and seasonal changes in squid fishing activities in Argentine waters has been performed. A more refined assessment of the fishing activities of individual fishing vessels can also be provided quantitatively. All the results above can benefit the regulation of fishing activities. Accurately extracting impervious surfaces (IS) and continuously monitoring their dynamics are crucial practices for promoting sustainable development in regional ecological environments and resources. In this context, we conducted experiments to extract IS of the Dianchi Lake Basin by utilizing various features extracted from remote sensing images and applying three different machine learning algorithms. Through this process, we obtained the optimal combination of features and a machine learning algorithm. Utilizing this model, our objective is to map the evolution of IS in the Dianchi Lake Basin, from 2000 to 2022, and analyze its dynamic changes. Our results showed the following: (1) The optimal model for IS extraction in the Dianchi Lake Basin was IMG-SPESVM based on the support vector machine, remote sensing images, and spectral features. (2) From 2000 to 2022, the spatial distribution and shape of the IS in the Dianchi Lake Basin changed significantly, but they all developed in the area around Dianchi Lake. (3) From 2000 to 2015, the rate of expansion of IS gradually accelerated, while from 2015 to 2022, it contracted. (4) From 2000 to 2022, the center of mass of IS moved to the northeast, and the standard deviation ellipse shifted greatly in the south–north direction. Our research group successfully designed the F. carica and Taxus cuspidata Sieb. et Zucc mixed forest, and confirmed that their interspecific relationship was stable and F. carica has a promoting effect on neighboring T. cuspidata growth. However, the promoting mechanism has not been elucidated. In this study, F. carica was used as the donor plant and T. cuspidata was used as the recipient plant. T. cuspidata seedlings were irrigated with F. carica root extracts of different concentrations (10.0, 20.0, 40.0 g·L−1), and the plant height, base diameter, photosynthetic parameters, photosynthetic pigments, MDA contents, and antioxidant enzyme activities were measured. Soil physical and chemical properties, enzyme activities, and microbial diversity were measured. The results showed that the abundance of growth-promoting bacteria increased and the number of pathogenic bacteria decreased in the rhizosphere of T. cuspidata soil. It was speculated that the chemicals secreted by F. carica roots interacted with soil microorganisms of T. cuspidata soil after enrichment, changed soil microbial diversity, and indirectly promoted the growth of T. cuspidata. UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS was used to analyze F. carica root water extract and F. carica root exudates, respectively, and it was found that the main components were similar. Therefore, the promoting effect of F. carica on T. cuspidata is mainly caused by the accumulation of potential chemicals in F. carica root exudates in the soil through interaction with soil microorganisms. Furthermore, the allelopathic-promoting mechanism of F. carica on T. cuspidata was discussed from various aspects, to provide a theoretical basis for the protection, breeding, and sustainable management of T. cuspidata resources.
