AbstractObjectiveMethodsResultsConclusionTo observe and analyze the efficacy of recombinant tissue-plasminogen activator (rt-PA) thrombolysis combined with Solitaire AB stent mechanical thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke.Clinical efficacy, neurological function, oxidative stress response, adverse reactions, and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Lower NIHSS scores were observed among patients who received treatment within 2 h after stroke onset when compared with those in a timeframe of 2–6 h, suggesting better neurological function recovery of the patients with early intervention and thus emphasizing the importance of early treatment for patients with stroke onset. Clinical efficacy in the combination group was significantly higher than in the control group (p < 0.05). After treatment, Paraoxonase-1 (PON-1) levels were higher, while lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) and Serum Amyloid A (SAA) levels were lower in the combination group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was significantly lower in the combination group (p < 0.05). At discharge, we observed significantly more patients with good recovery in the combination group when compared to the control group (p < 0.05), suggesting better quality of life of the patients, while this statistical significance was no longer observable at 90 days after discharge (p > 0.05).For acute ischemic stroke patients, rt-PA thrombolysis combined with Solitaire AB stent mechanical thrombectomy treatment is effective. It promotes neurological function recovery, improves vascular stenosis, reduces inflammation and adverse reactions, and enhances quality of life, showing promising clinical applications. Oxide dispersion strengthened tungsten (ODS-W) alloy was prepared by chemical method, conventional sintering and hot-rolling method, which breaks through the research bottleneck of preparing tungsten alloys with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. More specifically, it can exhibit ultrahigh strength and superior toughness when tested at 200°C. In addition, the nil ductility temperature (NDT) can also dramatically decrease to 100–150°C. The bimodal structure formed by the uneven distribution of yttria and the lamellar structure formed by hot rolling in this ODS-W alloy provide a feasible way to develop other engineering materials with ultra-high strength and ductility. W-Y2O3 alloy with bimodal and lamellar structures prepared by wet chemical method and hot rolling process exhibits excellent combination of ultra-high strength and toughness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Epoxy asphalt composites (EACs) are deemed to be the prior choice for the next generation of long-life pavement material because of their excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability. However, the much higher initial paving costs of EACs than those of traditional thermoplastic polymer-modified asphalts limit their popularisation. To pursue higher-performances-lower-costs EACs, inspired by the 'multimodal networks' theory, anhydrides-cured tri-modal rubber-like epoxy asphalt composites (REACs) were conceived and prepared by incorporating reactive styrene butadiene styrene grafted by maleic anhydride (SBS-g-MA), i.e. reactive very long chains (rVLCs), to our previous bi-modal REACs (whose curing agents are composed of two different molecular weights, i.e. short chains and long chains). Their tensile properties and thermo-rheological properties were characterised by means of tensile tester and dynamic shear rheometer (DSR). Results demonstrated that the content of rVLCs has a significant influence on the mechanical properties of the tri-modal EACs. As a result, there is a moderate rVLCs content (1.5 wt.%) based on which the formed tri-modal REACs can achieve higher performance and potentially lower cost for the next generation pavement. In this work, twin wire arc additive manufacturing (T-WAAM) combined with in-situ alloying method was developed to fabricate multi-element alloys, and biomedical Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy with a good combination of strength and ductility was successfully fabricated for the first time. The modification of microstructure and the improvement of mechanical properties of the deposited Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy caused by Nb addition were investigated. Although demonstrated here for Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy, the combined method of T-WAAM and in-situ alloying is in principle applicable to fabricate other multi-element alloys by composition design, which is conductive to expanding the application fields of WAAM. Kinetics of multiply ferrite/bainite phase transformation of HSLA steels is investigated by experiments and cellular automaton (CA) simulation. Peak-differentiation method to elucidate the sequential ferrite and bainite phase transformation individually, which is verified by the CA simulation. Such CA modelling executed using classic JMAK theory, but also gives an insight of microstructure evolution of the multi-phase transformation routine on different cooling rate. From that, it enables classic JMAK modelling to capture the detached phase transformation with different growth models and interface-migration mechanisms. Also, we find that the final phase constitution is sensitive to the cooling rate. With increasing the cooling rate, bainite sheaves nucleated at prior austenite boundaries and ferrite/austenite interfaces are significantly facilitated, which seriously inhibits the growth of prior ferrites. The scenario can be interpreted by the CA simulation and the influence of the cooling rate on sequential multi-phase transformation can be also obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
