Simple Summary: Patients with breast cancer frequently complaint from insomnia difficulties that can affect quality of life and cancer progression. Such difficulties may result from rest-activity (i.e., 24 h alternation of sleep and wake) rhythm alterations consistently reported in this pathology. Currently proposed approaches to counter insomnia difficulties in patients with breast cancer have positive effects only on sleep complaints and well-being. Moreover, such approaches may be difficult to implement shortly after chemotherapy. Innovatively, vestibular stimulation would be particularly suited to tackling insomnia symptoms in patients with breast cancer. Indeed, recent reports have shown that vestibular stimulation could improve rest-activity rhythm and sleep in healthy volunteers. This perspective paper aims to support the evidence of using vestibular stimulation to improve rest-activity rhythms and reduce insomnia symptoms in patients with BC, with beneficial effects on quality of life and, potentially, survival. Insomnia symptoms are common among patients with breast cancer (BC; 20–70%) and are predictors of cancer progression and quality of life. Studies have highlighted sleep structure modifications, including increased awakenings and reduced sleep efficiency and total sleep time. Such modifications may result from circadian rhythm alterations consistently reported in this pathology and known as carcinogenic factors, including lower melatonin levels, a flattened diurnal cortisol pattern, and lower rest-activity rhythm amplitude and robustness. Cognitive behavioral therapy and physical activity are the most commonly used non-pharmacological interventions to counter insomnia difficulties in patients with BC. However, their effects on sleep structure remain unclear. Moreover, such approaches may be difficult to implement shortly after chemotherapy. Innovatively, vestibular stimulation would be particularly suited to tackling insomnia symptoms. Indeed, recent reports have shown that vestibular stimulation could resynchronize circadian rhythms and improve deep sleep in healthy volunteers. Simple Summary: Canine lymphoma is a common cancer of one of the white blood cells that is commonly treated with chemotherapy. Many papers have been published about this disease and treatment, but few comprehensive reviews of the outcomes reported after chemotherapy, and the prognostic factors that influence the outcomes, have been published. Knowledge of the potential outcomes for this disease is important for veterinarians as they guide dog owners in the decision making about treatment options. This review evaluated the papers published on this topic and found that there is a wide variation in outcomes reported, as well as the factors that influence the outlook. Additionally, while individual papers have shown a much better survival, over the last 40 years, the overall improvement in outcome has been modest at best. The use of uniform reporting in the studies is needed, and novel approaches are likely needed to significantly improve the outlook for dogs with this disease. While canine lymphoma is a relatively common and important disease seen by veterinarians, there are limited comprehensive reviews of the literature regarding the remission and survival times following chemotherapy, and the associated prognostic factors. This comprehensive thematic review covers the available veterinary literature covering treatment outcomes and identified prognostic factors. A lack of standardised approaches to evaluate and report the outcomes was identified, including factors that would alter the duration of responses by weeks, or occasionally months. After publication of the suggested reporting criteria, this has improved but is still not uniformly applied. The prognostic factors included for evaluation varied from as few as three to seventeen, with over 50 studies using only univariate analysis. Individual papers reported much longer outcomes than others, but assessing the outcomes overall, there has been minimal change over the last 40 years. Introduction: Patients with cancer may have many complications involving their psychosomatic systems, such as sleep disturbance, depression, and anxiety. Thus, many research studies were conducted to reduce these complications. Zolpidem, as a short-term non-benzodiazepine treatment of insomnia, and melatonin as a chronobiological functionregulatory hormone, are commonly used for improving sleep quality. This randomized clinical trial aims to compare the effects of zolpidem and melatonin on sleep quality, depression, and anxiety in patients with colorectal cancer. Methods: In this single-blinded trial, 90 patients with colorectal cancer undergoing chemotherapy who had obtained a score of 5 or higher on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were randomly divided into two groups (n=45). One group was treated with 10 mg zolpidem at bedtime, and the other group received 6 mg melatonin at bedtime for 30 days. PSQI on weeks 0, 4, 8, Groningen sleep quality scale, Hamilton rating scale for depression, and Hamilton anxiety rating scale questionnaires were performed to assess patients on weeks 0, 4, and 8. The outcome was then analyzed, and P=0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Both zolpidem and melatonin had significant impacts on sleep quality in week 4 (P<0.05). After stopping the treatments, the conditions were noticeably reversed on week 8 (P<0.05). Zolpidem and melatonin were relatively similar in affecting sleep duration, latency, efficiency, and disturbance. None of the two study medications had any considerable influence on anxiety and depression. Conclusion: Melatonin and zolpidem are promising agents for treating sleep complications and, to some extent, depression, and anxiety in cancer patients, according to the present study. Background The Patient Cloud ePRO app was adopted by the National Cancer Institute National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) to facilitate capturing electronic patient-reported (ePRO) outcome data, but use has been low. The study objectives were to test whether a patient-targeted ePRO educational resource (ePRO-E) would increase ePRO intent (number of users) and improve data quality (high quality: ≥80% of the required surveys submitted) within an ongoing NCTN study. Methods The ePRO-E intervention, a patient-targeted educational resource (written material and 6-minute animated YouTube video), was designed to address ePRO barriers. ePRO intent and data quality were compared between 2 groups (N  =   69): a historical control group and a prospectively recruited intervention group exposed to ePRO-E. Covariates included technology attitudes, age, sex, education, socioeconomic status, and comorbidity. Results Intervention group ePRO intent (78.8%) was statistically significantly higher than historical control group intent (47.1%) (P  =  .03). Patients choosing ePRO versus paper surveys had more positive and higher technology attitudes scores (P  =  .03). The odds of choosing ePRO were 4.7 times higher (95% Confidence Interval [CI] = 1.2 to 17.8) (P  =  .02) among intervention group patients and 5.2 times higher (95% CI = 1.3 to 21.6) (P = .02) among patients with high technology attitudes scores, after controlling for covariates. However, the 80% submission rate (percentage submitting ≥80% of required surveys) in the ePRO group (30.6%) was statistically significantly lower than in the paper group (57.9%) (P  =  .05). Conclusions ePRO-E exposure increased ePRO intent. High technology attitudes scores were associated with ePRO selection. Chordomas are rare, malignant bone tumors of the skull-base and axial skeleton. Until recently, there was no consensus among experts regarding appropriate clinical management of chordoma, resulting in inconsistent care and suboptimal outcomes for many patients. To address this shortcoming, the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the Chordoma Foundation, the global chordoma patient advocacy group, convened a multi-disciplinary group of chordoma specialists to define by consensus evidence-based best practices for the optimal approach to chordoma. In January 2015, the first recommendations of this group were published, covering the management of primary and metastatic chordomas. Additional evidence and further discussion were needed to develop recommendations about the management of local-regional failures. Thus, ESMO and CF convened a second consensus group meeting in November 2015 to address the treatment of locally relapsed chordoma. This meeting involved over 60 specialists from Europe, the United States and Japan with expertise in treatment of patients with chordoma. Introduction: Cancer is the second commonest explanation for death subsequent to heart diseases and it represented 8.8 million deaths worldwide during 2015. Quality of Life (QOL) is all about personal satisfaction, degree or the standard to which an individual, gathering of individuals or community people can appreciates the significant inclination and experience of life like physically, mentally, socially, etc. Aim: To identify the existing tools or instrument for QOL among chemotherapy patients. Materials and Methods: A systematic search of literature for QOL tool among chemotherapy patients was conducted. Electronic databases were looked: Pubmed, proquest, PsycINFC Scopus, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINHAL). Results: Researcher found 673 research papers from electronic data base: from that 353 articles were excluded bases on exclusion criteria. So total retrieved articles were 320 among all 51 duplicate articles, 88 No full text available, 58 not relevant and 47 abstracts were excluded. Final retrieved articles were 75; among them 38 full articles were excluded based on inclusion criteria. Finally, according to 38 studies, out of 14 investigations utilised European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC QOL-C 30) survey, four studies used the Health Related Quality Of Life (HRQOL) tool, four studies used World Health Organisation Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) is a self-report questionnaire which assesses 4 domains of quality of life (QOL): physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and environment, Twelve studies used self administered questionnaire, four studies used other method like face to face validity, Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy (FACT) etc. The most-normally utilised instrument was a QOL tool for use in universal clinical preliminaries in oncology having a place with EORTC QOL C-30 survey, HRQOL tool and WHO BREF tool. Chemotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for cancer, but the efficacy of standard chemotherapy regimens is often limited by toxicities and the individual heterogeneity of cancers. Precise dosing is an important tool to improve efficacy and reduce significant differences in toxicity. However, most of the existing studies on chemotherapy optimization fail to fully consider the toxic side effects, drug resistance, and drug combinations, and thus the chemotherapy regimens obtained may face difficulty in achieving the expected efficacy and also affect the subsequent treatment. Therefore, this paper establishes a tumor growth model for the combination chemotherapy of cell cycle-specific and non-cycle-specific drugs and includes the factors of acquired drug resistance and toxic side effects, proposing an improved multi-objective Squirrel Search Algorithm, the TA-MOSSA, to solve the problem of accurate chemotherapy drug optimization. In this paper, experiments were conducted to analyze the efficacy of chemotherapy dosing regimens obtained by the TA-MOSSA based on the tumor growth model, and the results show that the TA-MOSSA can provide effective chemotherapy regimens for patients who take different treatment approaches. The introduction of monoclonal antibody-based (mAbs) targeted therapy has significantly improved the prognosis for hematological patients. Facing the issues of mAb-based therapies, a novel bispecific antibody (BsAb) format was developed. T-cell engagers (TCEs) are BsAbs, which simultaneously target tumor-associated antigens on tumor cells and CD3 molecules present on T-cells. This mechanism allows for the direct activation of T-cells and their anti-tumor features, ultimately resulting in the lysis of tumor cells. In 2014, the FDA approved blinatumomab, a TCE directed to CD3 and CD19 for treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Since then, numerous TCEs have been developed, allowing for treating different hematological malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma. Simple Summary: Bladder cancer is a common disease in urological patients. The approach to treatment depends on the severity of the tumor; in this article, we focus on tumors that do not invade the muscle layer of the bladder. Those tumors are resected during an endoscopic procedure (TURBT), but often reoccur. Treating bladder cancer with drugs instead of surgical removal of the bladder (radical cystectomy) is paramount for patients quality of life and overall well-being. The aim of this paper is to review methods of conservative treatment of tumors unresponsive to the typical treatment of choice (BCG instillations). Bladder cancer is the 10th most popular cancer in the world, and non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) is diagnosed in ~80% of all cases. Treatments for NMIBC include transurethral resection of the bladder tumor (TURBT) and intravesical instillations of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG). Treatment of BCG-unresponsive tumors is scarce and usually leads to Radical Cystectomy. In this paper, we review recent advancements in conservative treatment of BCG-unresponsive tumors. The main focus of the paper is FDA-approved medications: Pembrolizumab and Nadofaragene Firadenovec (Adstiladrin). Other, less researched therapeutic possibilities are also included, namely: N-803 immunotherapy, TAR-200 and TAR-210 intravesical delivery systems and combined Cabazitaxel, Gemcitabine and Cisplatin chemotherapy. The rapid development of antibiotic resistance in K. pneumonia has led to a major concern. In order to analyze the hotspots and develop trends in this field through visual the analysis, this study used CiteSpace software to summarize the available data in the literature to provide insights. A total of 9366 research articles were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection, and the number of published papers is increasing year by year. The country with the most articles was the USA, followed by China and India. The institution with the highest number of publications was LERU. The author with the highest number of articles was Li. The journal with the highest citation rate was Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. In addition, based on keyword coword analysis and cited literature prominence analysis by CiteSpace, the current research focus in the field was therapy, CRKP, and resistance genes. Despite the introduction of targeted vaccines and screening protocols, locally advanced cervical cancer represents a median proportion of 37% among all cervical carcinomas. Compared to early stages, it presents significantly lower cure rates, with a 5-year disease-free survival rate of 68% and a 5-year overall survival rate of 74%. According to current guidelines, definitive radiotherapy with concomitant chemotherapy represents the gold standard for locally advanced cervical cancer treatment. However, a significant number of patients relapse and die from metastatic disease. The aim of this narrative review is to examine the recent advancements in treating locally advanced cervical cancer, exploring new frontiers in therapeutic approaches. The PubMed database and clinical trial registries were searched to identify relevant articles published on locally advanced cervical cancer treatment up to March 2024, mainly focusing on papers published in the last decade. Abstracts presented at major international congresses that bring relevant evidence were included. Progress achieved in refining radiotherapy techniques, recent evidence regarding neoadjuvant treatment preceding surgery or concurrent chemoradiotherapy, and key findings concerning adjuvant treatment are thoroughly explored. Furthermore, a comprehensive review of prominent phase II and phase III trials examining the integration of immune checkpoint inhibitors is conducted, analyzing the various contexts in which they are applied. In light of the new evidence that has emerged in recent years and is discussed in this article, the appropriate selection of the most suitable therapeutic approach for each patient remains a complex but crucial issue. The scientific literature was reviewed with the aim of analysing the state of the art on the role of nursing in the management of chemotherapy extravasation, recognising the possible risk factors and identifying effective training programmes for nurses. WOS, Scopus, and PubMed databases were used to perform the searches. Papers that met the inclusion criteria and that had been published in the last 9 years were selected. The Effective Public Health Practice Project (EPHPP) instrument was applied to the selected studies. In addition, this research was registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) (ID: 512480). Out of the 23 initially selected articles, a total of 9 articles were eventually included, since they met the eligibility criteria that were established after a more exhaustive analysis, which included reading their abstracts and full texts. The results show that the management of chemotherapy extravasation is closely related to factors that largely depend on the nursing staff. Among the most relevant findings are factors including the identification of the nursing role in the management of extravasation due to chemotherapy; risk factors; and effective training programmes for nursing. Nurses play a crucial role throughout the entire process of treatment, prevention, and health education in chemotherapy treatment. Training programmes for nurses are fundamental, as they increase their professional competence and improve the safety of the patient. Adequate knowledge of chemotherapy treatment and the risk factors of extravasation are basic elements for the prevention of this type of injury, as well as for the improvement of the quality of life of patients under this kind of intravenous therapy. Objectives: Nausea is one of the most important symptoms of patients undergoing chemotherapy. This study aims to determine the effects of aromatherapy with sour lemon on nausea in patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: A total of 50 patients undergoing chemotherapy were randomly assigned to experimental and placebo (control) groups. The two groups completed the visual analogue scale for nausea before and the first to the fourth week after starting the intervention. The intervention was performed during chemotherapy. Using a dropper, a paper towel was saturated with 3 drops of sour lemon essential oil; however, for the control group, 3 mL of water as a placebo was spread on a paper towel. The intervention in the experimental and control groups was performed once a week for 4 weeks during weekly chemotherapy sessions. Results: At the beginning of the study, no significant difference was observed between the mean score of nausea in the two groups (P>0.05). The first to the fourth week after starting the intervention, significant differences were observed between the mean score of nausea in the two groups (P<0.05). The results of the repeated measures analysis of variance indicated that the mean score of nausea changed over time in the experimental group, indicating a gradual decrease in the mean score of nausea (P<0.05). Simple Summary: Though chemotherapy is generally known to be effective in the fight against cancer, its application is associated with a number of side effects, including toxic impacts on the ovaries. The most ovotoxic cytostatic chemotherapeutics are the classical alkylating compounds, particularly cyclophosphamide. Thus, it is of utmost importance to find effective means to protect ovaries against the negative influence of chemotherapeutic agents. This review paper presents the results of the current research work on the hitherto proposed agents potentially protecting the functions and state of ovaries exposed to chemotherapy. A large body of promising results have been reported, but as presented, it is necessary to undertake thorough and comprehensive studies aimed at providing an explicit evaluation of the efficacy of selected ovoprotecting agents and their possible clinical use in the future. Chemotherapy is one of the leading cancer treatments. Unfortunately, its use can contribute to several side effects, including gynotoxic effects in women. Ovarian reserve suppression and estrogen deficiency result in reduced quality of life for cancer patients and are frequently the cause of infertility and early menopause. Classic alkylating cytostatics are among the most toxic chemotherapeutics in this regard. They cause DNA damage in ovarian follicles and the cells they contain, and they can also induce oxidative stress or affect numerous signaling pathways. In vitro tests, animal models, and a few studies among women have investigated the effects of various agents on the protection of the ovarian reserve during classic chemotherapy. In this review article, we focused on the possible beneficial effects of selected hormones (anti-Müllerian hormone, ghrelin, luteinizing hormone, melatonin), agents affecting the activity of apoptotic pathways and modulating gene expression (C1P, S1P, microRNA), and several natural (quercetin, rapamycin, resveratrol) and synthetic compounds (bortezomib, dexrazoxane, goserelin, gonadoliberin analogs, imatinib, metformin, tamoxifen) in preventing gynotoxic effects induced by commonly used cytostatics. The presented line of research appears to provide a promising strategy for protecting and/or improving the ovarian reserve in the studied group of cancer patients. However, well-designed clinical trials are needed to unequivocally assess the effects of these agents on improving hormonal function and fertility in women treated with ovotoxic anticancer drugs. Significant advances in chemotherapy drugs have reduced mortality in patients with malignant tumors. However, chemotherapy-related cardiotoxicity increases the morbidity and mortality of patients, and has become the second leading cause of death after tumor recurrence, which has received more and more attention in recent years. Arrhythmia is one of the common types of chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity, and has become a new risk related to chemotherapy treatment, which seriously affects the therapeutic outcome in patients. Traditional Chinese medicine has experienced thousands of years of clinical practice in China, and has accumulated a wealth of medical theories and treatment formulas, which has unique advantages in the prevention and treatment of malignant diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine may reduce the arrhythmic toxicity caused by chemotherapy without affecting the anti-cancer effect. This paper mainly discussed the types and pathogenesis of secondary chemotherapeutic drug-induced arrhythmia (CDIA), and summarized the studies on Chinese medicine compounds, Chinese medicine Combination Formula and Chinese medicine injection that may be beneficial in intervention with secondary CDIA including atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmia and sinus bradycardia, in order to provide reference for clinical prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced arrhythmias. Every year, over 600,000 new cases of esophageal cancer are registered worldwide. Treatment depends on the stage of the disease. In the early stages, surgical treatment is the basis (T1–T2 lesion < 3 cm, N0M0), while in more advanced stages, surgical treatment is preceded by radiochemotherapy or only radiochemotherapy is used. In the case of generalized disease, the main treatments used are systemic treatments of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and palliative teleradiotherapy or brachytherapy. Brachytherapy can be used at virtually any stage of disease, both as a radical treatment and as a palliative treatment. This paper presents the possibilities of using brachytherapy at various stages of esophageal cancer treatment. Introduction. Patients with metastatic gallbladder cancer (GBC) are generally considered incurable and compelled to palliative chemotherapy. Nevertheless, there are numerous reports of successful surgical management of metastatic GBC. The impact of such treatment is yet unclear. Material and methods. We conducted a systematic literature review within Medline and Scopus databases using the following pattern: "gallbladder&" and "cancer&" and "dissemination". Also, our own experience with two resected metastatic GBC patients was added to the results. Discussion. The literature search yielded 8 publications with a total of hundred and twelve patients ful!lling the inclusion criteria. Two additional patients were included in the analysis: one with resected GBC liver metastasis and the second with resected GBC diaphragmatic metastasis. A total of hundred and fourteen patients who underwent resection of a solid organ GBC metastasis were analyzed. The study con!rmed a rare long-term survival after resection of an isolated GBC metastasis. Conclusions. There is no clear indication for surgical management of gallbladder cancer metastasis. Simple Summary: The updated results of the RMS2005 randomized study confirm that patients with non-metastatic high risk rhabdomyosarcoma have an improved survival when maintenance chemotherapy (MC) with vinorelbine and low dose cyclophosphamide is added to the standard multidisciplinary treatment. A more recent randomized study adopted the same strategy, but different drugs were used in the MC phase (trofosfamide, idarubicin and etoposide). No survival improvement was evident in the MC group, suggesting that not all types of MC are equally effective. A revision of the literature demonstrates that the role of MC in patients with metastatic or relapsed RMS may be a promising approach but need more investigations. Maintenance chemotherapy (MC) defines the administration of prolonged relatively low-intensity chemotherapy with the aim of "maintaining" tumor complete remission. This paper aims to report an update of the RMS2005 trial, which demonstrated better survival for patients with high-risk localized rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) when MC with vinorelbine and low-dose cyclophosphamide was added to standard chemotherapy, and to discuss the published experience on MC in RMS. In the RMS2005 study, the outcome for patients receiving MC vs. those who stopped the treatment remains superior, with a 5-year disease-free survival of 78.1% vs. 70.1% (p = 0.056) and overall survival of 85.0% vs. 72.4% (p = 0.008), respectively. We found seven papers describing MC in RMS, but only one randomized trial that did not demonstrate any advantage when MC with eight courses of trofosfamide/idarubicine alternating with trofosfamide/etoposide has been employed in high-risk RMS. The use of MC showed better results in comparison to high-dose chemotherapy in non-randomized studies, including metastatic patients, and demonstrated feasibility and tolerability in relapsed RMS. Many aspects of MC in RMS need to be investigated, including the best drug combination and the optimal duration. The ongoing EpSSG trial will try to answer some of these questions. Simple Summary: Non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs) can be treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, or a combination before undergoing surgical resection. However, uncertainty remains regarding the overall outcomes of patients undergoing minimally invasive surgical (MIS) resection of the lung, following systemic treatment. As such, we studied the existing data on outcomes of this patient population via a comprehensive dive into the literature and performed a meta-analysis. Our findings indicate that MIS can be safely performed following systemic treatment in patients with NSCLC. Notably, MIS resection offers added benefits including significantly higher lymph node yield compared to open surgery. We also address the various complication rates of both open and MIS surgical approaches, underscoring the importance of surgeon preparedness to convert MIS approaches to open surgeries in precarious circumstances. Background: Minimally invasive surgeries for non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs) such as video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries (VATSs) and robotic-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries (RATSs) have become standard of care for patients needing surgical resection in early stages. The role for neoadjuvant systemic therapy has increased with patients receiving neoadjuvant systemic chemotherapy and immunotherapy. However, there has been some equipoise over the intraoperative and overall outcomes for these patients. Here, we review the current data regarding outcomes of patients undergoing minimally invasive thoracic surgical resection after systemic chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or both. Methods: A systematic literature review of randomized controlled trials and observational studies presenting data on patients with NSCLC that underwent neoadjuvant systemic therapy followed by minimally invasive surgery was performed assessing complications, conversion rates, and lymph node yield. Results: Our search strategy and review of references resulted in 239 publications to screen with 88 full texts assessed and 21 studies included in our final review. VATS had a statistically significant higher lymph node yield in five studies. The reported conversion rates ranged from 0 to 54%. Dense adhesions, bleeding, and difficult anatomy were the most common reported reasons for conversion to open surgeries. The most common complications between both groups were prolonged air leak, arrhythmia, and pneumonia. VATS was found to have significantly fewer complications in three papers. Conclusions: The current literature supports VATS as safe and feasible for patients with NSCLC after neoadjuvant systemic treatment. Simple Summary: Glioblastoma is an aggressive brain cancer. Despite progress made in cancer research, patients diagnosed with glioblastomas continue to have a poor rate of survival. Lipidomics is a field of study that seeks to comprehend the structure and function of lipids, otherwise known as fats. Glioblastomas have demonstrated imbalance in lipids, and, therefore, lipidomics shows promise as an avenue to better understand glioblastomas. This paper reviews the literature on lipidomics in glioblastomas and suggests future directions for lipidomic research into the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of glioblastomas. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive primary brain malignancy in adults, and has a survival duration of approximately 15 months. First line treatment involves surgical resection, chemotherapy, and radiation, but despite the multi-pronged approach and advances in cancer research, glioblastoma remains devastating with a high mortality rate. Lipidomics is an emerging discipline that studies lipid pathways and characteristics, and is a promising field to understand biochemical mechanisms. In glioblastoma, disrupted lipid homeostasis has been reported in the literature. A thorough understanding of serum lipidomics may offer ways to better understand glioblastoma biomarkers, prognosis, and treatment options. Background. Intra-arterial chemotherapy (IAC) is considered a unique technique for retinoblastoma (Rb) management and has widespread applicability as a first-line or second-line treatment due to the high globe survival rates. Objectives. This meta-analysis aimed to assess the efficacy of IAC approach among patients with Rb. Materials and methods. This study outlined the most recent research on IAC effectiveness in Rb treatment. We carried out a systematic search for published papers examining IAC treatment among patients with Rb using electronic search engines, including Embase, Web of Science (WoS), PubMed, OVID, and Google Scholar, until October 2021. Results. This meta-analysis included 39 observational studies with 2604 treated eyes and 3112 individuals who were eligible for inclusion. Enucleation rates varied from 0% to 43.7% in the chosen trials, with an odds ratio (OR) of 0.52 (95% confidence interval (95% CI): 0.41-0.66, p < 0.0001). A range of 30-100% was reported for globe salvage across 27 investigations involving 2310 eyes. The estimated OR of globe salvage was 2.41, with 95% CI of 1.6-3.63 and a p-value <0.0001. The combined total effect sizes and the death rate for the proportion of cases with metastatic Rb were as follows: OR = 0.03 (95% CI: 0.03-0.03) and OR = 0.05 (95% CI: 0.04-0.05, p < 0.0001), respectively. Conclusions. Retrospective trials have shown that intra-arterial-based therapy for Rb is an effective choice. Intra-arterial chemotherapy also reduced enucleation and metastasis incidence rates. Simple Summary: This article summarises the international Frontline and Relapsed Rhabdomyosarcoma (FaR-RMS) clinical trial for patients with rhabdomyosarcoma. The trial has multiple research questions relating to chemotherapy and radiotherapy and biological and imaging studies as well as to the introduction of novel drugs for patients with very high-risk disease. The rationale, background, and international collaboration of the trial are explained, and how the data will be used to inform future studies is outlined. The Frontline and Relapsed Rhabdomyosarcoma (FaR-RMS) clinical trial is an overarching, multinational study for children and adults with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). The trial, developed by the European Soft Tissue Sarcoma Study Group (EpSSG), incorporates multiple different research questions within a multistage design with a focus on (i) novel regimens for poor prognostic subgroups, (ii) optimal duration of maintenance chemotherapy, and (iii) optimal use of radiotherapy for local control and widespread metastatic disease. Introduction: Retinoblastoma is a malignant tumor with a high cure potential when proper therapy is used. The purpose of this paper is to report the clinical features and outcomes of patients with retinoblastoma who were treated with a combination of local and systemic chemotherapy‐based protocols. Method: We retrospectively studied patients treated with systemic chemotherapy plus local treatment between 2003 and 2015 with a follow‐up ≥2 years. We correlated clinical and pathological characteristics with decimal visual acuity (VA) and death. Results: Among 119 patients, 60% had unilateral disease (UNI), and 52% were male. The median presentation age was 19.5 months, 10% had a positive family history, and the most frequent sign was leukocoria (68.8%). Advanced disease was more frequent in eyes with UNI (98.4%) than in eyes with bilateral retinoblastoma (BIL: 55.3%). Enucleation was performed in 97% of UNI eyes and in 55.8% of BIL eyes. The overall globe salvage was 26.6%, 44.25% of BIL eyes. Bilateral enucleation was required in 5%. High‐risk pathologic features occurred in 50% and 37% of eyes enucleated without and with neoadjuvant chemotherapy, respectively. High‐risk features were related to the presence of goniosynechiae in the pathologic specimen and were more frequent in children younger than 10 months or older than 40 months. Extraocular disease was present in 5% of patients, and the death rate related to metastasis of the tumor was 8%. The final VA was ≥ 0.7 in 72.8% and ≥0.1 in 91% of BIL patients. Conclusions: Treatment of retinoblastoma with conservative systemic‐based chemotherapy was associated with an excellent survival rate (92%). Albeit the low overall globe salvage rate, in BIL patients, approximately half the eyes were conserved, and a satisfactory functional visual result was achieved The evaluated protocol is an important treatment option, especially in developing countries. Background Lenvatinib plus pembrolizumab significantly improved efficacy compared with chemotherapy in patients with advanced endometrial cancer (aEC) regardless of microsatellite instability status or histologic subtype, who had disease progression following prior platinum-based therapy, in Study-309/KEYNOTE-775. The safety profile of the combination was generally consistent with that of each monotherapy drug and of the combination in patients with endometrial cancer and other solid tumors. Given the medical complexity of patients with aEC, this paper aims to characterize key adverse reactions (ARs) of the combination treatment and review management strategies, providing a guide for AR management to maximize anticancer benefits and minimize treatment discontinuation. Materials and Methods In Study-309/KEYNOTE-775, patients received lenvatinib (20 mg orally once daily) plus pembrolizumab (200 mg intravenously every 3 weeks) or chemotherapy (doxorubicin or paclitaxel). The incidence and median time to the first onset of ARs, dose modifications, and concomitant medications are described. Key ARs characterized include hypothyroidism, hypertension, fatigue, diarrhea, musculoskeletal disorders, nausea, decreased appetite, vomiting, stomatitis, weight decreased, proteinuria, and palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia syndrome. Results As expected, the most common any-grade key ARs included: hypothyroidism, hypertension, fatigue, diarrhea, and musculoskeletal disorders. Grades 3-4 key ARs with incidence ≥10% included: hypertension, fatigue, and weight decreased. Key ARs first occurred within approximately 3 months of treatment initiation. AR management strategies consistent with the prescribing information and the study protocol are discussed. Conclusion Successful AR management strategies for lenvatinib plus pembrolizumab include education of the patient and entire treatment team, preventative measures and close monitoring, and judicious use of dose modifications and concomitant medications. The combination of chemotherapy and photothermal therapy shows great potential in cancer treatment, and the carbon nanomaterials have been attracted great attention in biomedical technology. However, it is still a great challenge to design stimuli‐responsive nano‐carbon‐based drug release systems with integrated functions. In this paper, rod‐like carbon nanomaterials (RCNs) were prepared by the soft template hydrothermal method with glucose as raw materials, which were proved to have high photothermal efficiency (∼23.7%), as well as good biocompatibility and excellent drug‐loading capacity. After that, RCNs were used to load doxorubicin (DOX) as DOX@RCNs for integrated photothermal/chemotherapy towards cancer, which demonstrated 52.2% higher cancer cell killing efficiency than that of RCNs under near infrared (NIR) irradiation in vitro. Background: Transmissible venereal tumour (TVT), also called Sticker Tumour, is a round cell tumour whose transmission occurs mainly through sexual contact between animals or direct transplantation of the neoplastic cell through licking or through direct contact with the lesioned area. TVT is the most common tumor found in stray dogs and predominantly affects the genital area and, in case of bitches, occurs in the vagina and foreskin, as well as the oral and nasal cavities. Intracavitary TVT is rarely reported. The aim of this paper is to report a case of an old neutered bitch affected by vaginal and intracavitary TVT, treated at the Veterinary School Clinic (CVE) of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Curitibanos campus, Brazil. Case: An approximately 10-year-old mixed breed bitch, weighing 18,5 kg and, neutered 2 years previously at the same institution, was brought by her owner, who reported dyskinesia, constipation, and serosanguinous vaginal discharge for a few weeks. Physical examination showed a row of 4 smooth, round masses with a soft consistency ranging from 1 to 2 cm at the bottom of the vaginal roof. The patient was referred for an ultrasound (US) and a vaginal swab was taken for cytological examination, whose result demonstrated TVT. The result of the US scan showed a heterogeneously shaped structure, with a more hypoechogenic center in relation to the periphery and irregular contours, measuring around 2.63 x 6.10 cm, in the uterine topography caudally to the bladder. Exploratory laparotomy was performed with total removal of the mass, which was surrounding the proximal urethra, and the material was sent for histological and cytological analysis, whose both results indicated TVT. Chemotherapy was then initiated, with 6 intravenous administrations of vincristine (0.5 mg/m2) with an interval of 15 days between each administration. The animal underwent a total of 6 chemotherapy sessions, without complete improvement of the vaginal tumours. A 2nd chemotherapy protocol based on doxorubicin was suggested, which was not accepted by the owner. Three months after the end of the original chemotherapy protocol, the patient was assessed again and it was found that there had been no progression of the vaginal masses on vaginal palpation and no signs of recurrence of the intracavitary mass on ultrasound. Discussion: TVT is a venereal tumor that affects almost 100% of non-neutered animals, males and females. In the case of bitches, the most common sites are the vagina (53%), vulva (13%) and extragenital areas (14%). This animal had no intracavitary mass at the time of her castration 2 years earlier. At the time of diagnosis, she had the extragenital form of the tumor, consisting of an intra-abdominal mass, in addition to the genital masses in the vaginal roof. The chemotherapy drug vincristine is the drug of choice for the treatment of transmissible venereal tumors, due to its high efficacy associated with 4 to 6 sessions. However, in this case, there was no total improvement, so it was classified as a case of proven pharmacological resistance as the chemotherapy was ineffective for the complete regression of the tumor. It was therefore concluded that the occurrence of intracavitary TVTs, although rare, warrants a thorough physical examination combined with diagnostic tools such as ultrasound and histology, even in castrated old patients. Simple Summary: Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is used to target microscopic peritoneal disease which can remain after visible disease has been surgically removed. It is used in the management of multiple adult cancer types, yet its use in the pediatric population is limited. This review paper provides an overview of the use of this modality in pediatrics in order to identify chemotherapy choice, document reported post-operative morbidity and mortality, and evaluate impact on overall survival. The use of HIPEC, most commonly with cisplatin, is generally tolerable with short-term post-operative complications and no reported post-operative mortality, yet the impact on overall survival versus systemic chemotherapy and debulking surgery is uncertain due to lack of clinical trials and small sample size. Continued gathering of outcome data of pediatric patients treated with HIPEC will aid the rational and safe application of HIPEC to pediatric peritoneal malignancies. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) can directly target microscopic peritoneal disease, has achieved regular consideration in the treatment of several adult cancer types, and is more recently being studied in pediatrics. This review paper provides an overview of the use of this modality in pediatrics in order to identify medication choice, discuss post-operative morbidity and mortality, and evaluate impact on overall survival. Four databases were searched including Scopus, PubMed, Embase, and CINAHL and ultimately 37 papers documenting the use of this modality comprising 264 pediatric patients were included. Malignancies treated include desmoplastic small round cell tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma, angiosarcoma, colorectal carcinoma, and mesothelioma, with several rarer tumor types. Cisplatin was the most commonly used drug for HIPEC at varying concentrations for 30–90 min in duration at temperatures of approximately 41–42 °C. Reported toxicities were generally self-limited and there was no post-operative mortality. The impact on overall survival versus systemic chemotherapy and debulking surgery is uncertain due to lack of clinical trials and very small sample size across tumor subsets and the overall pediatric population. The relationship between degree of tumor burden and extent of surgical debulking needs to be further clarified. Future directions include prospective clinical trials, establishment of patient databases to facilitate standardization of HIPEC in pediatric patients, and additional approaches to optimize HIPEC. Publication of accurate and detailed descriptions of methods in research articles involving animals is essential for health scientists to accurately interpret published data, evaluate results and replicate findings. Inadequate reporting of key aspects of experimental design may reduce the impact of studies and could act as a barrier to translation of research findings. Reporting of animal use must be as comprehensive as possible in order to take advantage of every study and every animal used. Animal models are essential to understanding and assessing new chemotherapy candidates for Chagas disease pathology, a widespread parasitic disease with few treatment options currently available. A systematic review was carried out to compare ARRIVE guidelines recommendations with information provided in publications of preclinical studies for new anti-Trypanosoma cruzi compounds. A total of 83 publications were reviewed. Before ARRIVE guidelines, 69% of publications failed to report any macroenvironment information, compared to 57% after ARRIVE publication. Similar proportions were observed when evaluating reporting of microenvironmental information (56% vs. 61%). Also, before ARRIVE guidelines publication, only 13% of papers described animal gender, only 18% specified microbiological status and 13% reported randomized treatment assignment, among other essential information missing or incomplete. Unfortunately, publication of ARRIVE guidelines did not seem to enhance reporting quality, compared to papers appeared before ARRIVE publication. Our results suggest that there is a strong need for the scientific community to improve animal use description, animal models employed, transparent reporting and experiment design to facilitate its transfer and application to the affected human population. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis with the aim of assessing the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of PIPAC. Background: Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) is a novel intraperitoneal drug delivery method of low-dose chemotherapy as a pressurized aerosol in patients affected by peritoneal cancer of primary or secondary origin. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis with the aim of assessing the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of PIPAC. Methods: A systematic literature search was performed using Medline and Web of Science databases from 1 January 2011, to inception, to 31 December 2021. Data were independently extracted by two authors. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale was used to assess the quality and risk of bias of studies. Meta-analysis was performed for pathological response, radiological response, PCI variation along treatment, and for patients undergoing three or more PIPAC. Pooled analyses were performed using the Freeman–Tukey double arcsine transformation, and 95% CIs were calculated using Clopper–Pearson exact CIs in all instances. Results: A total of 414 papers on PIPAC were identified, and 53 studies considering 4719 PIPAC procedure in 1990 patients were included for analysis. The non-access rate or inability to perform PIPAC pooled rate was 4% of the procedures performed. The overall proportion of patients who completed 3 or more cycles of PIPAC was 39%. Severe toxicities considering CTCAE 3–4 were 4% (0% to 38.5%). In total, 50 studies evaluated deaths within the first 30 postoperative days. In the included 1936 patients were registered 26 deaths (1.3%). The pooled analysis of all the studies reporting a pathological response was 68% (95% CI 0.61–0.73), with an acceptable heterogeneity (I2 28.41%, p = 0.09). In total, 10 papers reported data regarding the radiological response, with high heterogeneity and a weighted means of 15% (0% to 77.8%). PCI variation along PIPAC cycles were reported in 14 studies. PCI diminished, increased, or remained stable in eight, one and five studies, respectively, with high heterogeneity at pooled analysis. Regarding survival, there was high heterogeneity. The 12-month estimated survival from first PIPAC for colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, gynecological cancer and hepatobiliary/pancreatic cancer were, respectively, 53%, 25%, 59% and 37%. Conclusions: PIPAC may be a useful treatment option for selected patients with PM, with acceptable grade 3 and 4 toxicity and promising survival benefit. Meta-analysis showed high heterogeneity of data among up-to-date available studies. In a subset analysis per primary tumor origin, pathological tumor regression was documented in 68% of the studies with acceptable heterogeneity. Pathological regression seems, therefore, a reliable outcome for PIPAC activity and a potential surrogate endpoint of treatment response. Simple Summary: As a first-line chemotherapeutic for colorectal cancer (CRC), FOLFOX, XELOX, and similar regimens are recommended as adjuvant therapies following CRC surgery, according to the NCCN guidelines. In stage IV patients, targeted therapies like cetuximab and bevacizumab are used in combination. The decision to add either irinotecan-based regimens or oxaliplatin-based regimens, FOLFIRI is typically based on a physician's subjective judgment due to the lack of clear selection criteria. Therefore, having the ability to precisely predict the therapeutic response to these two drugs could help prioritize the use of the most effective drug in stage IV patients. Previous research efforts aimed to predict therapeutic responses to these two drugs using organoids. While irinotecan showed promising predictability, predicting the response to oxaliplatin remained challenging. In this study, new drug screening conditions were identified to address this issue. Through additional research using CRC organoids, this paper contributes to the prediction of drug responses in CRC patients. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the world, with an annual incidence of 2 million cases. The success of first-line chemotherapy plays a crucial role in determining the disease outcome. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for precision medicine to predict drug responses and optimize chemotherapy in order to increase patient survival and reduce the related side effects. Patient-derived organoids have become a popular in vitro screening model for drug-response prediction for precision medicine. However, there is no established correlation between oxaliplatin and drug-response prediction. Here, we suggest that organoid culture conditions can increase resistance to oxaliplatin during drug screening, and we developed a modified medium condition to address this issue. Notably, while previous studies have shown that survivin is a mechanism for drug resistance, our study observed consistent survivin expression irrespective of the culture conditions and oxaliplatin treatment. However, clusterin induced apoptosis inhibition and cell survival, demonstrating a significant correlation with drug resistance. This study's findings are expected to contribute to increasing the accuracy of drug-response prediction in patient-derived APC mutant colorectal cancer organoids, thereby providing reliable precision medicine and improving patient survival rates. The application of chemotherapy drugs in tumor treatment has a long history, but the lack of selectivity of drugs often leads to serious side effects during chemotherapy. The natural anti-tumor ingredients derived from Chinese herbal medicine are attracting increased attention due to their diverse anti-tumor effects, abundant resources, and minimal side effects. An effective anti-tumor strategy may lie in the combination of these naturally derived anti-tumor ingredients with conventional chemotherapy drugs. This approach could potentially inhibit tumor growth and the development of drug resistance in tumor cells while reducing the adverse effects of chemotherapy drugs. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the combined therapy strategies integrating natural anti-tumor components from Chinese herbal medicine with chemotherapy drugs in current research. We primarily summarize various compounds in Chinese herbal medicine exhibiting natural anti-tumor activities and the relevant mechanisms in synergistic anti-tumor combination therapy. The focus of this paper is on underlining that this integrative approach, combining natural anti-tumor components of Chinese herbal medicine with chemotherapy drugs, presents a novel cancer treatment methodology, thereby providing new insights for future oncological research. Background: Pediatric brain tumors (PBT) stand as the leading cause of cancer‐related deaths in children. Chemoradiation protocols have improved survival rates, even for non‐resectable tumors. Nonetheless, radiation therapy carries the risk of numerous adverse effects that can have long‐lasting, detrimental effects on the quality of life for survivors. The pursuit of chemotherapeutics that could obviate the need for radiotherapy remains ongoing. Several anti‐tumor agents, including sunitinib, valproic acid, carboplatin, and panobinostat, have shown effectiveness in various malignancies but have not proven effective in treating PBT. The presence of the blood–brain barrier (BBB) plays a pivotal role in maintaining suboptimal concentrations of anti‐cancer drugs in the central nervous system (CNS). Ongoing research aims to modulate the integrity of the BBB to attain clinically effective drug concentrations in the CNS. However, current findings on the interaction of exogenous chemical agents with the BBB remain limited and do not provide a comprehensive explanation for the ineffectiveness of established anti‐cancer drugs in PBT. Methods: We conducted our search for chemotherapeutic agents associated with the blood–brain barrier (BBB) using the following keywords: Chemotherapy in Cancer, Chemotherapy in Brain Cancer, Chemotherapy in PBT, BBB Inhibition of Drugs into CNS, Suboptimal Concentration of CNS Drugs, PBT Drugs and BBB, and Potential PBT Drugs. We reviewed each relevant article before compiling the information in our manuscript. For the generation of figures, we utilized BioRender software. Focus: We focused our article search on chemical agents for PBT and subsequently investigated the role of the BBB in this context. Our search criteria included clinical trials, both randomized and non‐randomized studies, preclinical research, review articles, and research papers. Finding: Our research suggests that, despite the availability of potent chemotherapeutic agents for several types of cancer, the effectiveness of these chemical agents in treating PBT has not been comprehensively explored. Additionally, there is a scarcity of studies examining the role of the BBB in the suboptimal outcomes of PBT treatment, despite the effectiveness of these drugs for other types of tumors. Metastatic lesions of the jaws are a diagnostic challenge because of their scarcity and uncharacteristic clinical-radiographic features. Carcinoma of unknown primary origin (CUP) is characterized by the existence of metastatic disease with no recognized primary neoplasm after a comprehensive work-up. CUP shows a poor prognosis with limited treatment choices. This paper presents a 64-year-old male with a chief complaint of paresthesia of the chin and lower lip. Panoramic radiography showed an ill-defined radiolucency in the left mandibular molar area and the residue of the first molar root. Microscopic examination demonstrated features of mucin-producing adenocarcinoma and was not similar to common neoplasms of the jaw. The whole-body scan revealed multiple osseous uptakes. CDX2 was diffusely positive. However, in the end, the origin of the primary tumor was not determined. Considering the aforementioned data, the diagnosis of metastatic adenocarcinoma with unknown primary origin was made. CUP of the oral cavity is an extremely rare event. The possibility of metastasis should be raised in a patient who complains of paresthesia. Leishmaniasis, an infectious disease, manifests itself mostly in two forms, cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) and, a more severe and potentially deadly form, visceral leishmaniasis (VL). The current control strategy for leishmaniasis relies on chemotherapy drugs such as sodium antimony gluconate (SAG) and meglumine antimoniate (MA). However, all these chemotherapy compounds have poor efficacy, and they are associated with toxicity and other adverse effects, as well as drug resistance. While research in vaccine development for leishmaniasis is continuously progressing, no vaccine is currently available. However, some experimental vaccines such as LEISH-F1+MPL-SE (V) have demonstrated some efficacy when used as drugs for CL patients. In this paper we use a mathematical model to address the following question: To what extent vaccine shots can enhance the efficacy of standard chemotherapy treatment of leishmaniasis? Starting with standard MA treatment of leishmaniasis and combining it with three injections of V , we find, by Day 84, that efficacy increased from 29% to 65–91% depending on the amount of the vaccine. Simple Summary: Despite the multidrug nature of anticancer treatment, attempts are still being made to determine the relationship between the duration of chemotherapy, the dose of individual drugs, and the occurrence of dental developmental abnormalities. There are relatively few papers devoted to this issue, and all of them are based on the study groups composed of individuals receiving various treatment regimens. The current study includes a group of acute lymphoblastic leukemia survivors who underwent chemotherapy according to the ALL IC-BFM 2002 protocol. Contrary to the observations of some authors, the results of the current research suggest that the age at the start of chemotherapy is likely to be the strongest risk factor for toxic injury during tooth development. A small study cohort is a major limitation, but an evaluation of similar relationships at larger research centers would be helpful in better understanding the problem. The multidrug nature of anticancer treatment and different treatment protocols used in the studies are likely to be a major limitation in establishing real risk factors determining the occurrence of dental abnormalities. The authors aimed to establish a relationship between the duration and the dose of chemotherapy and the number of tooth adverse effects in the group receiving the same treatment. Of the 40 anticancer therapy recipients who attended the outpatient dental clinic, 7 leukemia survivors receiving the treatment according to the ALL IC-BFM 2002 protocol were selected. The study group consisted of four females and three males aged 92 to 207 months at the time of dental examination and 29 to 91 months at leukemia diagnosis. As a result of the clinical and radiological examination, dental abnormalities such as agenesis, tooth size reduction, root abnormalities, and taurodontia were identified, and the medical records of all survivors were reviewed in terms of drugs administered, their doses, and treatment schedules. No correlation was observed between the treatment duration of an intensive therapy, the entire therapy, and the number of tooth abnormalities. No relationship was also found between the number of dental abnormalities and the cumulative dose of vincristine, L-asparaginase, methotrexate, cyclophosphamide, cytarabine, and 6-mercaptopurine. Objective: This paper aimed to assess the clinical efficacy, adverse reactions, and safety of employing PD-1 inhibitors in conjunction with chemotherapy as a treatment strategy for advanced gastric cancer (GC). Methods: Ninety patients with advanced GC from January 2020 to December 2021 were divided into the research group (n = 45) and the control group (n = 45). The control group was treated with apatinib and tigio. The study group was treated with PD-1 inhibitor combined with apatinib and tigio. The remission rate (RR), disease control rate (DCR), overall survival (OS), Eastern Oncology Collaborative Group Physical Status Assessment (ECOG-PS) score, EORTCQLQ-C30 (v3.0) score, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The research group exhibited improved outcomes in several key metrics relative to the control group. Specifically, the RR, DCR, and OS were notably higher in the research group. Additionally, the ECOG-PS score was significantly reduced, indicating better performance. At a median follow-up of 8.7 months, the research group's functional and total health scores on the EORTC QLQ-C30 (v3.0) scale had seen significant improvement compared to their initial scores and were also superior to the control group's scores. Importantly, both groups demonstrated comparable incidence rates for adverse reactions, with no significant difference observed (P > 0.05). Conclusion: PD-1 inhibitor combined with chemotherapy was more effective when treating patients with advanced GC. It was more beneficial to enhance the patient's condition, promote survival time, and improve physical status and life quality. In addition, the adverse reactions could be controlled.
