This paper presents the development of a model for the design of a 4 legs inverter taking into account different limiting parameters. The context of this application is a converter which enables the link between a Quad Active Bridge (QAB) [1][2] and the grid, allowing an unbalanced active and reactive power injection realizing an energy router (ER) function [3][4]. In this case, the inverter is confronted by several constraints. The design of the DC capacitance and the limitation of the neutral current are taken into account in function of possibilities and constraints imposed by the QAB and the grid. This methodology can be applied to other 4 legs inverter structures.

Technology of resonant capacitors generally used in wireless power transfer system (WPTS) are commonly polypropylene film capacitors. Although it provides many interesting features on temperature, ESL value, energy density, self-reparation, etc... Their equivalent series resistance (ESR) induce important losses higher than 30% of total losses in WPTS with power higher than kW. Multilayer ceramic C0G capacitor show very low ESR allowing to divide losses by more than ten compared to film capacitors. This article proposes the use of C0G capacitor as an alternative of film capacitor for high power, and propose solutions on pcb design to improve C0G pcb performances for high power applications.

Wireless Power Transfer System (WPTS) for electrical vehicle (EV) charging presents many advantages, but the classical values of coupling and load resistance can lead to frequency splitting phenomenon (FSP) and bifurcation phenomenon (BP). The latter affect the system performances due to a potential lower power factor, loss of the zero-voltage switching (ZVS), high sensitivity to over coupling. The present paper provides a method for selecting capacitor values to avoid/reduce these phenomena, specifically allowing to preserve ZVS until an over coupling 67 % higher than classical case.

International audience; L'écoconception de convertisseurs statiques devient nécessaire pour appréhender non seulement la notion de performance mais aussi les coûts énergétiques de fabrication, d'usage et de fin de vie. Les convertisseurs de puissance multicellulaires apportent une opportunité vis-à-vis de l'optimisation de leur usage tout au long de leur cycle de vie. C'est l'objet de l'analyse présentée dans cet article. L'article présente, en premier lieu, une méthode de dimensionnement des convertisseurs fondée sur des critères de coûts énergétiques pendant le cycle de vie incluant des marqueurs de défaillance à l'usage. Une comparaison de plusieurs scénarios de fin de vie est proposée dans un cadre applicatif, technologique et géographique restreint, pour maitriser la variabilité et la sensibilité des données utilisées.

International audience; L'objectif principal de cet article est de prévoir et d'optimiser l'émission rayonnée (champ magnétique proche) produite par le courant de mode différentiel (DMC) dans les interconnexions des réseaux de convertisseurs de puissance (PCA) en 2D. Les PCA sont des convertisseurs réalisés par associations de cellules standards de conversion (CSC) Dual Active-Bridge (DAB) destinées à des applications de faible et moyenne puissance. Ils sont construits, assemblés et interconnectés en technologie PCB. Dans cet article, un algorithme basé sur la loi de Biot-Savart et les configurations physiques et électriques des PCA est présenté. Puis, une comparaison entre l'algorithme proposé et des simulations d'un modèle en éléments finis (FEM) est présentée, validant les résultats théoriques. La méthodologie peut être appliquée pour développer des règles et des conseils obtenus à partir de modèles de circuits afin d'automatiser la conception des filtres et du blindage à appliquer en conception automatique en l'électronique de puissance (P-EDA). International audience; This paper consists on developing a generic modeling routine for the prediction and optimization of the near magnetic radiated emission produced by Differential Mode Current (DMC) in the interconnections of multi-cell converters, more precisely Power Converter Arrays (PCAs) in 2D. The PCAs are based on associations of Dual Active Bridges (DAB) Conversion Standard Cells (CSC) for low and medium power applications. They are built, assembled and interconnected based on PCB technologies. An algorithm based on Biot-Savart law and the physical and electrical configurations of a PCA is provided to develop generic models. Then, a comparison between the proposed algorithm and experimental results of a setup mimicking the equivalent loops are presented with two different measurement technologies, validating the theoretical results qualitatively and quantitatively. The methodology can be applied to spatially characterize the emitted near field produced from CSC's interconnections and to develop rules and guidance to minimize it.

International audience; Eco-designing static converters becomes a necessity to tackle the growing issue of e-waste, and to mitigate the environmental impacts occurring during the manufacturing, usage and the end of life stages. This research focuses on multicellular power converters as original designed systems providing the opportunity for optimizing their functional usage throughout their life cycle. This paper proposes a quantitative method for designing for reuse. The suggested models rely on the concept of keeping the components' value high during multiple lifecycle stages within a circular economy scheme.

International audience; MulticCell Converters based on the implementation of numerous subsystems can be seen as arrays of conversion cells. These cells can be physically arranged in 1, 2 or 3 dimensions. This paper introduces a generic cooling design methodology to keep the temperature of the conversion cells below their maximum limits. Based on a set of characterization, the method can be applied to any converter array based on standardized conversion subsystems. A practical implementation based on PCB technology with forced air cooling technique is proposed as an illustration to highlight the considered approach. The methodology presented can be transferred to any multicell converter topology and/or cooling technologies.

Celle-ci est basée sur l’approche Power Electronics Building Blocks (PEBB) et permet d’accélérer les phases de design et de transfert industriel en utilisant des modules pré-qualifiés et pré-industrialisés. WOS:000445785100004; International audience; Avionics is intended to become more and more efficient in terms of energy saving thanks to increased efficiency of embedded system. Today, electricity is presented as the best energy vector compared to hydraulic or pneumatic. This is why current researches aim to focus on power electronic converters in order to meet the future electrical power demand in aircraft networks. In this article, the authors investigate a DC/DC dual active bridge converter which is expected as the best candidate to meet the complex requirements of an aircraft environment, especially the high-voltage dynamics. This persuaded the researchers to study the structure and modulations which are explained and brought face to face with a low-power prototype in order to validate the theoretical assumptions. The next step, is a 3.75 kW demonstrator specification with high integration (2 kW/kg). Semiconductor, magnetics and thermal management selection are presented to reach the specifications. Special care has been provided in an original capacitance calculation method and thermal considerations for heatsink choice. The originality of this work is to build active conversion system to prove it suits to aircraft specifications (high voltage dynamics, overload).

International audience; L'électronique de puissance est aujourd'hui confrontée à une dualité forte opposant méthodes de conception et intégration technologique. L'article revient sur l'avènement de cette situation avant de poursuivre avec l'introduction de différentes approches visant ou conduisant à réconcilier technologies et méthodes de conception. Si aucun résultat nouveau n'est publié dans l'article, celui-ci nous interroge sur les fondements de nos démarches de conception et de fabrication en électronique de puissance. Un débat à suivre !
