Abstract: As mobile communication technology continues to develop, millimeter-wave communication for 5G mobile networks is attracting widespread public attention. Many studies have appeared in the literatures related to millimeter wave mobile broadband communication systems. This paper briefly introduces the development of 5G and millimeter wave communications, analyses several practical designs and implementations of millimeter wave communications for 5G, and proposes some future applications and challenges for 5G.
