The article titled "Evaluation of social-environmental vulnerability. Real estate tourism in coastal social-ecological systems" addresses the growth of real estate tourism in coastal areas and its impact on social-ecological systems. A methodological tool is proposed to estimate social-environmental vulnerability in these systems, considering socioeconomic, natural, political, and physical factors. The case study of the community of Bahía Potrero in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, is used to apply the tool and obtain a vulnerability index. The expected results include the design of a synthetic index, a vulnerability map, and an evaluation of the index for future research. The objective is for this tool to be useful for urban planning and land management in coastal areas. [Extracted from the article]
