Reflective e‐paper displays show promising prospects with the increasing demand for energy‐efficient and sustainable technologies. However, the intrinsic incapability to display in dark environments hinders their broader application, and it is significantly important to enable reflective displays to achieve good display effects under various lighting conditions. Here, a flexible dual‐mode display device is proposed, which can demonstrate both reflective and emissive modes and achieve swift and straightforward mode switching by altering the driving waveforms. The single display layer of the device is formed by uniformly dispersing microcapsules and electroluminescent powder within the waterborne polyurethane dielectric matrix, which exhibits a reflective contrast ratio of 5.6 and a maximum luminance of 107.5 cd m−2. At the same time, the device possesses the merits of fast response speed at the millisecond level, high‐performance stability, and good mechanical robustness. Besides, through the waveform design, a reflection‐emission hybrid mode is proposed for more diverse display effects. Furthermore, a concept of dual‐mode contrast ratio is established, which further pinpoints the reflection‐emission transition points, thereby prompting the balance between energy‐saving and watching experience. Purpose: This paper analyzes the advance selling and pricing strategies of fresh products supply chain where the e-retailer provides wholesale contract or agency contract to the fresh products supplier. Design/methodology/approach: This paper constructed a two-period sequential-move game of fresh products supply chain members. Findings: This analysis showed that the supply chain members had different preferences for contracts under different market conditions. The advance selling of fresh products was not a decision of the seller, but also required the support of other supply chain members. And the advance selling strategy was not always beneficial to all supply chain parties. Under the two contracts, there were market conditions in which the profits of supply chain members were Pareto-improved through the implementation of advance selling. Research limitations/implications: The model presented in this study focuses solely on the context of monopoly, overlooking the competition from alternative suppliers or retailers. Consequently, exploring the competitive landscape within the fresh products supply chain, particularly in relation to pre-sale pricing, emerges as a crucial avenue for further investigation. By employing empirical research methods, valuable insights are gleaned, thereby significantly augmenting the existing body of relevant theories. Practical implications: The decision to pre-sell fresh products should be based on market conditions. Supply chain members can control production costs and fresh products circulation losses to maximize profits. Originality/value: From the perspective of game theory, this study analyzed the optimal advance selling and pricing strategies of fresh products supply chain members under two kinds of contracts. In recent years, electrophoretic display (EPD) attracts great attention for its ultra‐low power consumption, which is suitable for self‐powered applications. In this case, an energy storage system, simple as the capacitor, is essential for the self‐powered driving of EPDs. However, significance on the capacitor‐based driving of EPDs was underestimated in spite of its great practical value. This paper investigated the capacitor‐based driving of EPD for better performances of self‐powered EPDs. Progerin, the underlying cause of Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS), has been extensively studied for its impact on normal cells and premature aging patients. However, there is a lack of research on its specific effects on tumor cells. Melanoma is one of the most common malignant tumors with high morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to elucidate the potential therapeutic role of progerin in melanoma. Materials and Methods: We constructed the melanoma A375 cell line and M14 cell line with stable expression of progerin. The expression of progerin, paxillin, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) marker proteins in each cell group was measured using Western blot. The migration, proliferation, and cell cycle of cancer cells were assessed using the transwell assay, wound healing assay, colony formation assay, CCK 8 assay, and flow cytometry. RT-qPCR technology was used to examine the impact of progerin overexpression on microRNA expression. Finally, we transfected paxillin into the progerin overexpression cell group to verify whether progerin regulates the phenotype of tumor cells through paxillin. Results: Our study demonstrated that overexpression of progerin leads to decreased expression of paxillin and inhibits cancer cell migration, proliferation, EMT process and cell cycle progression. Additionally, rescue experiments revealed that the migration, proliferation ability, and EMT marker protein expression in progerin overexpressing cancer cells could be partially restored by transfecting a plasmid containing the paxillin gene. Mechanistic investigations further revealed that progerin achieves this inhibition of paxillin expression by upregulating miR-212. Conclusion: This study reveals that progerin may inhibit the migration and proliferation of melanoma cells through the miR-212/paxillin axis, which provides a new approach for the future treatment of this disease. With rapid development in the smart wearable field, new-style flexible energy storage devices are necessary to satisfy the demands of flexible smart clothing. Thereinto, fiber supercapacitors present promising application prospects. This work puts forward a facile and reliable strategy to fabricate coaxial fiber electrodes via binary wet spinning, and further assembles them into parallel or twisted nano-MnO2 fiber supercapacitors. In the obtained fiber electrode, a carboxymethylcellulose layer onto nano-MnO2 not only allows the requisite ion exchange between the electrochemical active materials and gel electrolyte, but also plays the role of separator to protect the two fiber electrodes effectively from contacting a short circuit, greatly ensuring the electrochemical stability of the nano-MnO2 fiber supercapacitors. The parallel nano-MnO2 fiber supercapacitor reaches a maximum CL of 19.7 μF/cm, EL of 0.0027 μWh/cm and PL of 1.49 μW/cm; the twisted MnO2 fiber supercapacitor achieves maximum CL, EL and PL of 49 μF/cm, 0.0053 μWh/cm and 1.0 μW/cm, respectively. Besides, the outstanding softness and tensile properties of the obtained nano-MnO2 fiber supercapacitors also guarantee stable electrochemical performance under bending, knotting or other large-distortion situations, which is beneficial to develop a new generation of metal oxide fiber supercapacitors for smart wearable clothing. This paper investigates the effects of reselling and agency contracts on the platform's incentive to share information under two scenarios, i.e., the recommendation scenario and non-recommendation scenario. Through analyzing the equilibrium solutions, we derive the following results. First, comparing the recommendation and non-recommendation scenarios, the platform prefers the recommendation scenario under the reselling contract. However, contrary to traditional wisdom, when the recommendation efficiency is relatively more efficient, the platform chooses the non-recommendation scenario in the agency contract; as the recommendation efficiency becomes less efficient, the recommendation scenario is preferred in the agency contract. Second, for the reselling contract, the platform prefers to withhold demand information in the recommendation and non-recommendation scenarios. However, the platform voluntarily shares this information under the agency contract for the two scenarios. Third, the platform's optimal strategy depends on the commission rate, the platform's recommendation efficiency, and the level of information accuracy. Intuitively, a lower commission rate induces the platform to prefer the reselling contract in the recommendation and non-recommendation scenarios. However, a higher commission rate does not always make the platform choose the agency contract. The recommendation efficiency and the level of information accuracy affect the platform's optimal strategy. Furthermore, given the platform's optimal strategy, there are Pareto optimal regions that make the manufacturer better off. That is, the platform and the manufacturer achieve a win–win situation. Finally, in an extension of the model, this paper shows the platform's optimal strategy when a hybrid contract is used, which also demonstrates the robustness of the results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Measurement uncertainty can affect the accuracy of estimating parameters of vibrating systems. This article is concerned with the development of a method for estimating parameters from the free vibration response of a nonlinear system in which the response signal is contaminated with Gaussian white noise. The backbone curve and envelope of the response are first estimated from the free vibration signal. An algorithm based on the Bayesian approach is then used to identify the stiffness and damping parameters of a nonlinear system excited at a single resonant frequency. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the proposed method, which is then applied to the experimental data from a nonlinear vibration absorber system that was excited at its first resonant frequency. The proposed approach provides the distribution and confidence intervals of the parameter estimates, which is an improvement on methods that provide a single number for each estimate. As the signal-to-noise ratio decreases, the variances of the posterior distributions increase as do the confidence intervals, reflecting greater uncertainty in the parameter estimates.
